Who am I you ask? I am one of those "Freak." "Emo." "Gothic chick." "Cutter." I've herd all these names and more. But have you ever thought to look past the walls I build to keep pain out? Past the black clothing. The dark hair. The covered eyes. Maybe there you'd see. See how different I am. How I love to laugh. To joke. How I can have more fun then the jocks and cheerleaders who spend their nights in bed. Maybe you'd see how I'm a little kid still. How simple things shock and entrain me. Maybe you'd see what your missing.

If I could still be like that. If I was broken and untrusting because of the bulling that tags along with the nicknames you shout. If I didn't have reasons to put up the walls, maybe I wouldn't. Maybe I wouldn't wonder about death and instead day dream about the future. Maybe I wouldn't have suicidal thoughts. If only I was whole. Maybe then my "Maybe"s would be real.

So who am I? A victim? A fighter? A hater? A lover? Confused? Lost? Broken?

I guess you'll have to wait and see.

Today is 9-11. 8 years ago two planes crashed into the Twin Towers in New York City killing thousands if not millions of people. Many people, me included, try to block out or forget horrible events like this. But we should remember. We should remember those who lost their families, who lost their lives and those who risked and lost their lives to save others. We should remember because it makes us stronger. We should remember so it dosen't happen again. We should remember so we can never forget. We should remember and honor those who lost their lives even if you personally weren't effected. But even though it was a devastating event, we should remember how we stood strong and banned together as one to rebuild a great city.
