Origin of my pen name:

I am very fond of watching the stars and the moon at night. I especially love it when it’s full moon. It gives me the feeling of security and peace. When I was in junior high our chemistry teacher (who is very funny and kind) asked us to memorize the chemical symbols, names and origin of the names of the elements on the periodic table. There is a certain element that made a mark on my mind. It’s Selenium. Selenium came from the word Selene meaning Moon. I love it so much. I also love my original name though, maybe I can just name my daughter in the future Selene. If it’s a guy it will be Arthur and his nickname will be Art (okay that has nothing to do with my pen name but still, we’re talking about names here).

What I like in Fanfiction:

I get to read different stories about my favorite pairings. Sometimes you love the characters so much that you want to see them in a different story or you want to make your own story having them in it. It’s always nice to find a sweet, dramatic or funny story to read.

I get to practice writing and let my imagination do the work. I am very thankful to the people who appreciates my story or when they say how good the plot is. I do know that I am not a very good writer. Sometimes, I can’t think of words to use in my story but I’m trying to give it my best shot. It’s easier to think of how the story will go than to write it down, LOL. That is where we see a great writer, he/she has the perfect concept and he/she can put the concept into writing flawlessly. Awww, how I wish I can do that.

You get to meet friends from all over the world! You meet people who share the same interest and passion. You read stories written by authors with different nationalities and your story is also read by people who are literally continents apart from where you are. Amazing!
