Hello there. Welcome to my profile.

I'm Kate, and I write an awful lot. I just don't publish much of it. I'm very critical of my own writing, so I only publish what I am really fond of. Plus I don't actually finish much of it either. I have a very short attention span. My writing is hardly ever good enough for my own standards. I always find things that could be fiddled with, worded better or just downright deleted..

I have many fandoms, but I only write for a few, as I feel I wouldn't do justice to others. I have written for Skulduggery Pleasant, Command and Conquer and Phantom of the Opera. However, I'll read a fic from absolutely any fandom I have even a vague knowledge of. I support many ships, although as long as it's a fandom I know, I'll read any pairing. Open mind and all that.

There are a few things I never want to set eyes on, however. One of these is Mary-Sue fics. Although no-one seriously does this on purpose (unless it's a parody, which I happen to love), if your OC's name is Sapphire Diamond Rainbow Angel Mistofelees and is marrying the main character, despite the fact that they are already in a solid relationship, you should probably douse yourself in cold water.

Things you don't need to know about me:

1. My name's Kate, although I'd rather you didn't go shouting it at me.

2. I love writing and reading, but I also sing and act in my local amateur drama club.

3. I'm a little bit addicted to musicals.

4. I can spend my entire day reading fanfictions (and actually have a couple of times.)

5. I fancy Ramin Karimloo. An awful lot.

6. I've met Derek Landy, along with 3 of the other biggest Skulduggery fans ever - James, Harry and Oscar. I think, frankly, we terrified him. James poked him in the nose, Oscar hugged him and Harry just looked at him.

7. Ghanith, Tanguine, Tanduggery, Solith, Tana, Fletchith. It all works if Tanith's in it.

8. In case you hadn't established already, Tanith Low is my favourite character in Skulduggery Pleasant. Shame on Derek for the end of Mortal Coil.

9. I want to write a book.

My Stories:

Drabbles of Drabbleyness - Skulduggery Pleasant: Currently, this is only one chapter, but I am trying to add more. It will eventually just be a collection of one-shots, nothing too special. A lot will probably be Ghanith or Fletchyrie, because they're the only way to go.

Crossing Swords - Skulduggery Pleasant: This one focusses around Tanith and Skulduggery, and is really quite dark. Currently there are only two chapters, but I am working as hard as I can to write more about it. Essentially, it is a story of Tanith and Skulduggery, trapped in a safehouse together trying to keep Tanith safe from an evil assassin with a grudge. May develop into a bit of strange and desperation-induced TanDuggery, I don't know yet.

Ghastly's Task - Skulduggery Pleasant: Some pretty, post-Mortal Coil, Ghanith for you. Well, maybe not pretty... but there will be Ghanith. Plenty of it. This one revolves around Ghastly's fight to extract the Remnant from Tanith and return her to the woman she used to be. Bits of Fletchyrie, but Ghanith-centric.

Too Damn Stubborn + The Untold Love Story - both Command and Conquer/Tiberian Sun: Probably going to be reworked (majorly) and replaced with something downright better. Just leaving them up for now as McNeil and Umagon as a couple is something more people need in their lives.

Unfurling Her Wings - Phantom of the Opera: Won't be any romantic pairings in this one. This is set either post or pre-Phantom, and I guess it's probably a bit of an AU... Anyhow, basically Erik unwittingly becomes the guardian angel of a young ballerina in the Opera house, and tries to help her overcome her fears and become a star. Shameless cuteness and adorableness.

Her Eyes - RENT: Just a one-shot of some Roger/Mimi fluff. Mimi wants to hear Roger play 'Your Eyes' again, and Roger can never say no to her. Just a bit of something I came up with after watching the movie.

Quirk - The Mighty Boosh: Something I've been considering for a while, but only just got round to. Vince falls in love, yada yada. Introducing a lovely OC, Addison Quirk. Be nice to her, she's only little.

Upcoming Stories...

Sister Moon - Mighty Boosh: Howard's sister needs a place to stay, so Howard offers up the couch of the flat. Vince is grumpy because he doesn't want a shorter, female version of Howard living in his home. Especially not if she has a moustache. However, Howard's sister turns out to be just the kind of person Vince has no problem being around. But there's a secret in her past, and if Vince isn't careful, he might just accidently hurt her.

(No Current Title) - The IT Crowd: Richmond has fallen in love. With the girl who walks past him around the coffee shop every morning. A Richmond-romance fic, because there aren't nearly enough around.
