I used to go by my real name here, (and if you look for references to my Harry Potter (unfinished) story, you can figure it out), but I've decided that I'd like a change, and since I'm not really a prolific writer, a change would be acceptable.

I last wrote something unrelated to either school-work or work-work about five years ago. I've been teaching creative writing since graduation from college, and I thought I'd give my own advice a try and just attempt to write. Fanfiction is one of the hardest things to write, because you're playing in someone elses world, and the laws of their world are different from laws you would make up in your own universe.

Like I said, though, this is a good writing exercise for me, and a good chance to explore my interests in writing without feeling pressure to create a "fantastic world" that is the next big seller.

I appreciate any feedback you can give (preferably constructive, flames won't be tolerated), but also ask for your understanding if it takes some time for a chapter to come out, or if there are spelling or grammatical mistakes. I am attempting to write as much as I can per night, and am posting as soon as I finish.

I also would appreciate you telling me what works, stylistically or characterization, for you. I'm seeking ways to become a better writer, and need to know what an audience thinks.
