In case you're wondering, my pen name means something significant.

Kepouros.

It is Hebrew for 'Keeper of the Garden'.

I chose this name because I am the Keeper of the Garden of Inspiration. I tend it, I water it, I let others pick and eat of its fruit, I weed out that which would see it die.

Do smell the scent of earth, of gentle flowers, of leaf litter, of moss, of conifer offcast?

Do you hear the metronome toktok of the bamboo-pipe fountain? Just when you think it has dipped for the last time, it surprises you again, steady as a heartbeat.

Do you see the misted grey of the stones? The soothing green of the leaves? The ancient ash-white of the lichens?

The garden is my most precious possession. Its blooming awakens and fruition feeds that LIVING, BREATHING thing in each of us that, when we are silent and receptive, whispers softly in our ear like a phantom's exhale...
