Well, my name is Eugenia and I am from Argentina (a country you can find in South America, in case you skipped a few Geography classes).I'm 23 years old and that pretty much covers all the basics.

I have brown eyes and hair, I'm quite tall, I wear glasses and I've always been a bit of a nerd/geek. I think I've been called that since the third grade...

I'm interested in literature, poetry, history, politics, medicine, physics (James Maxwell was incredibly cool), biology, cinema, languages and bridge (yes, that game with cards I'm learning). I'm particularly fond of the 1920's.

I read a lot, particularly in English. It helps me increase my vocabulary and improve my writing skills, since I'm not a native speaker. Some of my favourite books are:

The Anne of Green Gables and Emily of New Moon series by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I've read every single book about Anne and Emily and I love, LOVE all of them so much. I wish I could visit Prince Edward Island at once!

The Razor's Edge by W. S. Maugham.

The English Patient by Michael Ondaajte. Poetry to my ears.

The Turn of the Screw by Henry James.

Lord of the flies by William Golding. Brilliant, brilliant book.

Oscar Wilde. I think I've read everything he wrote before I turned thirteen.

El Ingenioso Hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes. I kinda loved the fact that I'm a Spanish native speaker while reading it.

All of Conan Doyle's work on Sherlock Holmes. I guess that also explains why I love House so much hahaha.

The Easter Parade by Richard Yates. A silent masterpiece that truly deserves more attention. I still have to read Revolutionary Road.

A brief history of time, by Stephen Hawking.

I also love poetry, particulary Dylan Thomas' and W.H. Auden's. T.S. Eliot and Ezra Pound are also incredible.

FILMS

I also love films. When I was about eight or nine, my father used to take me and my sister to the movies at least once a month. We always watched really odd films (the films were not odd itself, but they were weird choices because of our age) from India and Iran... they made quite an impression on my younger self. There was one, in particular, Bacheha-ye Aseman (Children of Heaven) that I was never able to forget.

Some of my favourites include The Last King of Scotland, Atonement, Into the Wild, Manhattan, In Bruges, Casablanca, The Shawshank Redemption, Juno, Die Welle and the 2005 version of Pride & Prejudice. I've been obsessed with Keira Knightler ever since I watched it. I'm also crazy about James McAvoy.

TV SHOWS & couples I ship

HOUSE MD: My favourite show ever.

I'm a sucker for Huddy and Chameron.

30 ROCK: We ALL know Liz and Jack belong together. Come on! Brilliant show, incredibly smart and funny. Alec and Tina are great.

BROTHERS & SISTERS: Though I'm not liking how things are turning out to be, I'm still loyal to the show.

GOSSIP GIRL: Gives my daily dose of girly stupidity. Blair and Chuck belong together. Period.

SHAMELESS: The first two seasons were AMAZING. Plus, James and his wife were on it :D

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES: I love it and I've watched it ever since it began.

I used to watch Gilmore Girls as well...
