The book about my mother's dementia has been released and is now up on Barnes and Noble and Amazon. Kindle/E-book version is now out, too.

A word of caution for those who have read my fanfiction: This book is an intense read, and it is not at all light recreational fiction. Not much escapism available here. Just be aware what you are buying. It has many moods, not just dark and depressing, though there are depressing moments, of course. There is, however, also an entire chapter on humor as well as other anecdotes scattered throughout, and there is another whole chapter on crafts. Also a chapter on "diamonds," the unexpected bright moments in the middle of bad days. In fact, one of my favorite comments from a test reader is that she expected it to be a depressing book overall due to the subject matter, and she did not find it so. But there is plenty of darkness, it does take you on a roller coaster, and the journey unfortunately isn't one sparked by imagination but by fact. Nothing in my life I've written has been closer to me than this. There is lots of music in it; music isn't just for the good times. If you so choose, I would be honored to share it with you, and it's my hope that Mom's journey can help commiserate with and/or prepare other families who are on the same road.

The title is C-Sharp Minor: My Mother's Seventeen-Year Journey through Dementia.
