 Author has written 2 stories for Gone with the Wind. My real name is Denise, middle name, Jeanne, hence the screen name "djeanne". I was born in New Orleans, and have lived in suburbs right outside of it my whole life. That's why I've included New Orleans in my stories -- you write what you know. I'm a huge GWTW fan, and was very disappointed in the ending, which inspired me to write my own sequel. Of course, only Margaret Mitchell can REALLY do that. But, in the MM biography "Road to Tara", there's a quote she makes to her publisher as she was readying GWTW for publication. Regarding the ending when Rhett leaves Scarlett, she says, "I think she gets him in the end". So, that is my proof that Scarlett and Rhett did wind up together!(I'm nuts, I know.) |
