You are reading the profile of Silent Watchman (duh!) You may find that I am not so silent when it comes to some of my stories and reviews. I usually only comment on works I either really loved or found deplorable. I don’t review the mediocre that is so lacking in luster as to inspire no emotions whatsoever.

There are two things I absolutely cannot stand in fanfictions; Mary Sue’s and the rape of the English language. Both are easily preventable as there are Mary Sue litmus tests galore online and the spell checker has been around since the invention of the Word Processor program, please use them for all our sakes.

I am very opposed to leaving anything unfinished, and I only write one story at a time. If you are reading a work that appears incomplete just be patient. I am working on it when I can find the time. Typically I’ll post a chapter once every week but that can vary depending on chapter length and whether or not I can access the internet. Mondays are usually a good day to check on a story.

I am open to constructive (I repeat, constructive) criticism. There is always room for improvement in all of us and I do appreciate being told how I can improve. However, what I definitely do not approve of is flames. If you cannot rise above petty insults, don’t post. I do prefer that you be logged in before commenting on my work. I may just want to read what you have written as well.

Star Wars. The staple of my life and the reason I never dated in high school. I love the original trilogy and I love the books. Mr. Lucas ruined his own creation with episodes 1 -3.

Books:

The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and the Silmarillion. (Tolkein is an excellent writer of history, but a poor writer of anything else.)

The Mote in God’s Eye by Larry Niven and Jerry Purnelle (possibly the greatest sci-fi book ever written.)

Sailor Moon (yeah, I know its more geared towards fourteen year old girls, but what the hey?)

Upcoming Projects:

My first Star Wars fanfic. Yay! It’s going to take place around 2,500 years before the movies and follow the pattern of the monomyth. The main inspiration will be Knights of the Old Republic. I’m still working out the details so it may be a few months before I begin posting anything.
