This is ongoing. I'm always open for ideas, so leave me some in a review, or PM me, okay? . Updating is irregular, this is just a story I fall back on when I'm stuck on other things.

Well, this is weird one XD. It sprang from an idea I had to challenge myself, of taking the over-used SephirothXOC idea and making it believable, not making the OC a MarySue who promptly became the main character of the story. I intend to make it a series of one-shots, starting pre-game, when Sephiroth is still General and Zack SOLDIER, Cloud a cadet, and then continue it to a post-Advent Children point. I have ideas for the beginning, ideas for the end, and I'm kind of stuck in the middle, so don't expect updates at any speed.

(And take it easy on me...I've never actually played the game...)

I would also like to mention chibirisuchan at this point, for writing the most amazing Sephiroth/Zack/Cloud fictions that could be firends, could be more, with the most incredible characterization I have ever seen. She deserves medals, and I can now imagine Spehiroth acting in no other manner than the way he does in her stories. (I can only hope my portrayal of him comes even close to her's).

The OC is Ren Wolfe. She was a very ordinary young woman living below plate until the day a mako-poisoned dog (One of Hojo's escapee experiments) attacked her in an alley while she was taking out the trash, leaving her with severe mako-poisoning. She's the second woman to survive mako poisoning, and the first to surivive for more than a couple of months - at the end of the first one-shot it's been a year since she was poisoned. Because of the way mako works with female biology in this AU, she has to take boosters once a month - which effectively means she is irrevocably tied to Shinra. She doesn't have a choice in the matter. She's a lot stronger than both average men and women, and can hold her own against most SOLDIER 3rd class, but isn't as strong as any of the higher ranks, except for a few hours after she's had her booster.

Either way, I want people to tell me if it's believable or not, and tell me if Ren becomes at all unbelievable. I'm challenging myself here, but I need feedback, so don't be afraid to shout at me about how crap my characterisation might become. I'll need help to keep me on the straight and narrow.
