Name: Reader

Age: Young enough that this is a nice hobby. Old enough that I am a little embarrassed that I still do this.

I wish I wrote as well as a number of author's on this site. I really do have a list of author's that I am a fan-girl for. They paint pictures and portrays characters and situations as good as any published writer out there. The words seem to sing like a siren, calling you closer until your lost in a world of their creation. Beautiful and all-consuming are these writer's works. These artist of the written word.

I do not and can not write like them.

I write in, what I like to call, an 8-bit style. My point and pictures get across but not in the detail that would make my stories really stand out. My writing style is often off-beat and silly. Any tense moment in my stories usually break quickly with an odd or quirky comment or action. My stories will always end happily because I can't bring myself to end something in tragedy. Maybe oneday but I might be drunk off my ass! *ahem* I mean, not in my usual state of mind.

It's all ok though. I like the way I write. There is always room for improvement but I wouldn't change my basic style. It feels the most like me. The me I don't need to hide from most of the world. What is a story but to escape what is real? When I can be me I feel like I rock. It takes away the badness in a day and makes me light and happy. Like I'm free.
