My favourite shows are crime, medical or legal dramas, (All CSIs, Criminal Minds, ER, NCIS etc). My favourite is CSI:NY, probably as I can identify more with the city and some of its eccentricities as I lived there for nearly 3 years.

At school I never particularly liked science, but now I find it fascinating, probably as I have had close dealing with the medical profession and through further education in the last 10 years, and also my work now is related to medical research, so I have become quite intrigued, especially with DNA/genetics.

Part of my interest in science and medicine has come from my younger daughter being diagnosed with cancer, following intense treatment and 3 years in remission she relapsed and we lost her. I am therefore keen to see improvements in children's cancer care and support any research into Neuroblastoma.

I have mostly written CSI:NY fics with Flack/OC themes, more to come. I have been writing for my own amusement for a while, but after sharing the first two with my other daughter, she suggested I post them, so things have grown from there.

I appreciate your reviews and am open to suggestions and constructive criticism.

The Home Coming Series:

Coming Home - (complete) - First story written for FF. Features Nikki (Nicole) Palmer, an old High School friend of Flack's who returns to the city after 5 years in San Francisco. Their current friendship is on shaky ground following the aftermath of 9/11, the reason she left.

Coming Home: Through Flack's Eyes - (complete) - A companion piece to Coming Home, giving Flack's take on Nikki's return and the events which surround it.

Beacons of Home - (complete) - a sequel to Coming Home. How does Flack cope with impending fatherhood now Nikki is pregnant again.

The Legacy Series:

If you haven't read Crossed Paths, you may like to do so first before reading the summaries below as there are spoilers for things which may not be apparent for several chapters. ... You have been warned!

Crossed Paths - (complete) - The first of several in the series. Set around 6-8 months after "Charge of this Post" and introduces Laura Stevens, currently working undercover with Vice. This sees her introduction to the Crime Lab and the CSI team as her undercover partners start turning up murdered. Flack has been dating, but has managed to keep things separate from the team, ... until now.

Boxes - (complete) - The second in the Flack/Laura series - Flack and Laura move in to a new apartment together. A seemingly routine case causes problems for Laura as they plan for their future. Flack loses his badge and the team are split.

Master Plans - (complete) - The third in the Flack/Laura series - With only a short time to go to the wedding, family tensions run high and half the arrangements are cancelled. Ties up a couple of loose ends from Crossed Paths and Boxes too. The tiger above is a depiction of Laura's tattoo - minus the temporary writing!

After the Party - (ongoing) - Can be read as stand alone. Originally done as a 1-shot, but the plot bunnies struck again there was an intention of adding another chapter or two but due to lack of time and ideas this stalled - Follows some of the other characters after Laura/Flack's wedding.

Legacy - (ongoing) - The fourth in the Flack/Laura series. Catches up with Flack and Laura around 10 months after the wedding and features elements of season 4 (especially with Danny/Reuben). This couple will not leave me alone, I keep coming up with ideas for them.

CSI:NY:

On Camera - (complete) - A bit of fun for the aftermath of "Snow Day". The brass want good publicity after the Irish Drug bust and what happened to the lab.

Chain of Custody - (ongoing) - Set about a year after Angell's death, draws on some canon cases and involves the issues with the evidence warehouse. An undercover FBI agent gets thrown into the mix, her past coming back to haunt her when 2 cases collide leading to a visit from the BAU. This is not really a cross-over, they appear for only a few chapters.

NCIS

In the Line of Duty - (ongoing) - Set around season 2, with Kate and no Director Shepherd. Someone from Gibbs past seeks the help of NCIS, at the time of the request they don't know he will be assigned the case. Explores another side of Gibbs and touches on his first family. Sorry this has not been updated for a long while, I promise to conclude it at some time when the muse gives up on CSI:NY & others! I have been thinking about re-writing this somewhat, as I am not happy with certain things and at the time of writing the case had no substance so I ended up not knowing how to conclude it.
