Story 1. saddle - Leather thing that goes on the horse's back. You sit on it. 2. Bridle - Leather straps that go around the horse's head and let you steer him. 3. Bit - Metal thing that goes in the horse's mouth and attatches to the bridle to help steer. 4. Mare - Female horse. 5. Saddle pad - Cloth that goes under the saddle to make it more comfortable for the horse. 6. Girth - Leather strap with buckles that goes around the horse to hold the saddle on. 7. Blow - It's when the horse inhales, then holds it's breath while you tighten the girth, so when he lets out the air, the girth is looser. 8. Lunge line - Long rope used to help the horse excersize. 9. Arena - Place where you work/ride the horse. 10. Reins - Leather straps that attatch from the bit to your hands to steer. 11. Poles, cavelletti, jumps, ect. - Stuff you use to jump with a horse. 12. Trot - Two beat gait. Bounciest speed. 13. "On the rail" - Means to stay right next to the wall of the arena.
