Author has written 1 story for W.I.T.C.H.. Name: Mai S. There are a few things you need to know about me right away, even before you read any of my stories. For that reason, I hope I've caught you early—hopefully, you've hopped right to my profile page before reading my work rather than dived right into G.U.A.R.D. In other words, I hope I've caught you before you wasted your time. Ready? Okay. I promise to be brief. First, I'm fourteen years old. If you hold misapprehensions on that score, let them be dispelled right here and right now. I can't drive or drink or smoke. I am hopelessly entertained by Tom and Jerry, I've never had a boyfriend (discounting that wierd, booger-eating kid in third grade who became fixated on my accent), and I don't claim to have much experience in the workings of the world. I've never taken a Literature or Writing course, and English is my third language. At times, I lapse into annoying, American-teen jargon. Second, I'm a rhymes-with-witch...a BITCH, if you will: Bad Influence To Children. I'm random and I'm abrasive and I'm rude. I'm a punk-rock prom queen, with painted lips and an acid tongue. This "my-way-or-the-highway" attitude of mine sometimes comes across in my comments, responses, and writings. I have little respect for those on that refuse to accept constructive criticm and those who fight for unworthy causes. Just be warned: I play dirty. Third, I'm Bad. B-b-bad to the bone. I enjoy writing darkly rich prose, with my characters and plotline spiraling downward and downward until all is chaos and desperation. I like to watch my protagonist claw her (or his) way up from the bowels of living hell, and to stand victorious over a bloodied battlefield. If my style isn't what you want, please don't read my stories. If you've already read them, I can't refund your time and patience, so feel free to flame me. Remember: do it with a smile! If, however, my writing is something you can appreciate and enjoy, I invite you to come along with me just a little farther. I have a lot to tell you, and I think we can talk better around the corner. In the dark. Mai News Last Updated Saturday, January 19, 2008 Chapter 5 of G.U.A.R.D. is up. Someone give me a high five and a cookie...I totally deserve it. Not really. But at least I'm posting consistently now. Third round of editing. As always, the storyline will be basically the same, but the writing style will be edited and the plot will be less convoluted. This is to allow some themes present in the story can be clearer and easier to interpret. Also, I'm going to be changing the tense from third-person omniscent (a fairly difficult tense to do well) to third-person limited. And I'm going to be adding backstories. And so on and so forth. (I get no sleep!) For my new readers, G.U.A.R.D.'s a new generation W.i.t.c.h. fic. Thirty years have passed, and Phobos has been defeated. The W.i.t.c.h. crew have gone their seperate ways and created families. But some force of destiny pulls them and their families into the same city, where a new, deadlier evil is rising from the ashes. Evil that wears a human face and stretches beyond the reach of Candracar. G.U.A.R.D—or Gabrielle, Ursula, Allison, Raven, and David—are the new Guardians and must fight this new enemy. I know that the "new generation" thing has been used over and over again, and I'm sorry for that, but I swear that my story is unique in its dystopic view of society and heroes. (Le gasp! Does this mean Mai actually thought before she wrote? The world is ending...) Thanks to any and all reviewers; I'll try to reply back personally, but I'm a (recovering) procrastinator and a chronic liar, so don't bet on it. Any questions, comments, concerns, or complaints should be referred to the e-mail address below. Or you could PM me, if you want. I guess.
