Decided to upload a fic I wrote earlier in the year to break the inactivity here. (GregxJeff; WLIIA fandom) Still on an indefinite hiatus due to college work load and personal commitments.

Next major update is probably a reform of Chapter 1 of Silent Whispers, and an edited version of Stay.

Going to try continuing on Silent Whispers and start on more YGO fics. Excuse me for OOC-ness. I've not watched the series since 2005.

Silent Whispers

A more serious story about Katsuya and Seto. It's not going to be all rainbows, smiles and hugs (expect for Chapter 1, which I swear I'm going to rewrite because well, even I can't read more than 20% of it now without feeling nauseated), I am taking a more realistic approach with this one.

(2012) UPDATE: I think I'll be rewriting thing once I've regained inspiration, especially the atrocious excuse of a first chapter. I swear I've no idea what possessed me to concoct something that terrible. I assure you, I'm a much better writer than that. My style has definitely changed and I think perhaps that ought to salvage a little dignity from this series.

Rain (Complete)

A Genjyo Sanzo one-shot dealing with character exploration. This piece loosely focuses on the event that radically altered his course of life, dealing mostly with emotions and memories. I took some liberties from canon events, but hopefully the atmosphere and essence were retained.

Don't ask me why I chose such an 'innovative' name; I was never good at picking titles. Excuse the OOC-ness if present.

Stay (Complete)

Another (cliche) fic focusing on KaiJou (Puppyshipping), and also my first attempt at romance, dialogue, and a semblance of plot in a one-shot. Peppered with unnecessary descriptions, thoughts, and rain.

As usual, please excuse the OOC-ness and the mild language.

(2012) UPDATE: Thank you for the support for this piece! :D Nice to see people continuing to enjoy it even after several years. Will edit this to be a tad less awkward (i.e. cheesy) in the final few paragraphs if time permits.

Timeless (Complete)

A one-shot done for a Valentine challenge/exchange in LJ's Whose Line Is It Anyway? main comm, centred around 2 of my favourite performers: Jeff and Greg. This piece is a first of so many things for me, and took over half a year before I could pen it down. I'm generally uncomfortable with the idea of pairing real life characters together, but after sufficient convincing, I've come to terms with it being purely a personal literary pursuit and nothing more.

The atmosphere is meant to be this subdued given the age range of the characters. Hopefully the dialogue and interaction are not too OOC, especially with this being my first try at fluff.

Introduction

Hello! I'm an adult (finally) moderate anime fangirl who uses what little spare time she has left to conjure up incoherent pieces based on her daydreams. Although I no longer partake in the seeking of new series to enjoy, I continue to hold those I've once loved close to me, more often than not rekindling the passion that had once captivated me when I was younger.

My writing style has changed quite a fair bit since I've first joined, so please do not be too surprised to see stark differences in various chapters and stories. I tend to prefer a more flowery form of writing, lapsing into heavy adjectives-punctuated descriptions, introspection, and minimal dialogue. If I do attempt character speech, don't be surprised if the speech patterns deviate from that of daily conversational language; I'm just not confident and comfortable enough to write in a more casual manner.

Writing style and genres:

Mostly angst, with a dash of shounen-ai. I'm still new, and uncomfortable with writing romance, so please bear with my overly cliched and cheesy attempts. I've a tendency to overwrite due to lengthy descriptions, while trying to perpetuate overly elaborate plots (which usually end up unfinished). I can't write without inspiration, so I apologize for lengthy periods of inactivity.

For general fiction and other writings, I go by the username of 'mystickal' too on fictionpress.com, and devils_solitude on LJ. Do browse through my experimental works if you please. I'm open to, and actually welcome criticisms and suggestions on how I can improve my writing.

When I was younger, I found much joy in most shounen anime and manga series. I love drawing, designing, reading, writing, shopping, astronomy, theoretical physics, martial arts, language, gaming, swimming, western comics etc.

I'm addicted to using the computer, be it for general learning, WoWing, coding, designing, drawing or whatnot. I do keep a blog for my art-related pursuits (celticheavens on LJ), although school work and procrastination have hampered my ability to keep a consistent updating schedule.

Although it's nice to hear others ask when and if I'll be continuing my fics, I can't and won't rush updates. I'm unable to write without inspiration, and even so, I'm usually too insecure to write fanfics (as compared to general expository pieces). On top of that, I'm currently in year 3 of college, so my workload is immense. I barely have a social life now, let alone time to pursue my interests.
