Hi, the name's Ben.

I don't know that there's much to say about me! I'm a Master's degree student, married with kids, and have too many gray hairs for my own comfort. I used to write Fanfiction under another name when I was a teenager and decided to create this account as a clean slate. My old works are still floating around on Fanfiction.net, but I will be leaving them where they are. If you ask me for their information... I probably won't give it to you. Let the past remain in the past, I say! And they're embarrassingly poorly written.

Anyway, I created this account to house the novel that I wrote based on the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a full-scale novelization of the game's story--a fact that some of you may question as, truthfully, Breath of the Wild was not exactly the strongest Zelda when it came to the storyline. However, I've done some work fleshing out the bare bones that made up its structure, seeking to inject life and character into this world that I absolutely fell in love with. This was an enormous undertaking, and the response has just been incredible. It truly reignited my love of writing now, and I can't wait to see what the future brings for me.

Since publishing Breath of the Wild, the novel has become one of the most popular Zelda stories on , ranking in both the top 50 for Favorites and top 70 for Reviews. The response has been incredible, and I'm so thankful to everyone who has read it and told me their impressions!

I have a couple things that I am working on now. I am still working on writing the sequel to Breath of the Wild, though that has been slow going, not only due to general life business, but also some issues with plotting that have required me to go back to the drawing board more than once. I think the plotting issues have mostly been worked through, so now it's more an issue of just finding time to put it all down on paper. It's about 35,000 words along right now, so still plenty left to write.

The other thing that I've been working on is a final revision for my Breath of the Wild novel. I began this while in the throes of my writer's block in an effort to stir the writing juices again, and have it mostly completed. I intend one final read-through with a red pen before stamping it completed. My intent is to post the final revision by March 2020--the game's third anniversary.
