Reviews for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
atron2 chapter 68 . 7/19
Before my review, three notes: 1. I'm an avid reader (35 books last year), but tend to stay away from fiction as I can be a little picky 2. I don't spend a lot of time on this website, as one has to dig through a lot to find the gems 3. I'm not a big Zelda player. I've played only one game in totality, and that was Link's Awakening, which doesn't even take place in Hyrule.

However, the kingdom of Hyrule and it's stories, both existing and potential, have always been intriguing to me. And while not a big Zelda player, I have been very aware of the hype surrounding BotW. So, one day, I googled Breath of the Wild novelization and found your story.

And what a story! There is much to be enjoyed here. You made Hyrule very 'three dimensional'. Each race felt unique, each area of the map felt unique. Each character was fleshed out and felt real. Link and Zelda were more real people to me than they've ever been before. And because of that, it was a story that drew me in emotionally. The character development of Link especially, but also how he felt about each other character-the troubled relationship with Revali, his fondness for Kass and Daruk, the struggles of Yunobo, and many, many others. The page turning, or in this case, mouse scrolling excitement of the action scenes (as good as my favorite novelists), the utter despair of chapter 57, the relief at Ganon's defeat, and more. Additionally nice was the fact that, even with a very limited knowledge of Hyrule and next to none of BotW, I found the story easy to follow. This and much more led to a deep satisfaction upon finishing the story.

The praise could go on, but let me close this already too long review with this: Cheers, my good man, on an excellent story and affording me a great introduction to Hyrule. I look forward to future contributions from you, both here and as someone who I'm sure will, rightly, be published some day.
A person chapter 67 . 7/14
I want you to know this is probably the best book that I have ever read. I takes a amazingly written book with a plot I am fond of to be impossible to be put down. This is one of the few books. The liberties and changes you made, the battles, the journey, everything else, and most of all, the epilogue. Everything was done so well it would take me a whole story to say everything great about this. I loved it and I want you to know that.

P.S. I originally read this for the end of the story for Breath of the Wild but I realized that I needed to read the rest of the story and by golly, was I glad I did
hirowriter chapter 69 . 6/18
I am a little busy at the moment to read through this chapter, so I just read your bolded summaries.
Nevertheless, I was surprised how much cut content you had. I am also impressed by your ability to revise, as seen on your explanations for changing/removing certain scenes.
I will give this chapter a proper read when I have the time. But so far, I am already liked checking out your cut content.
I am also interested in your idea of a prequel, if you every plan to do it or use parts of it in your sequel.
With how good your story is, I am willing to wait for your next story! Just make sure to take care of yourself and have some time to rest as well!

Once again, thank you for your story and I am excited for your next story in the future!
Murtaugh chapter 6 . 6/17
Telma and Louise, eh? Clever.

This story is quite well written thus far.
hirowriter chapter 68 . 6/17
Thank you too for the story!
I am really excited to see your sequel, when it is finished, and do my best to wait for it patiently. I am also curious if you will include a novelization of Breath of the Wild 2 (if it releases, and does not clash too much with the sequel).
I am also hyped to check out you cut-out ideas in the next chapter.

I hope you and your family will take care!
hirowriter chapter 67 . 6/17
It may have been short, but it was still emotional and sweet to read.
Thank you for this amazing novelization!
I am curious what are the remaining two chapters are, and I cannot wait to check them out.
hirowriter chapter 66 . 6/17
It was really nice to see the perspective of the new Champions after the battle against Ganon. Special mention to Teba and how he shows how is different from Revali. I'm also glad that Sudon's friend is alright.
I am also embarrassed to say that I got confused on the wedding scene, as I check mixing up whether it was Link's wedding or Hudson's wedding.
And finally, I am very nervous about the scene with the surviving Yiga clan members.
hirowriter chapter 65 . 6/15
It was nice to see Zelda perspective after being free from all this.
It is also interesting to see them discussing what Link and Zelda's future might be, now that Hyrule is at peace.
And that proposal was very sweet to see!
hirowriter chapter 64 . 6/15
It is nice it finally see Link and Zelda have a moment of peace together in the present time.
I also screamed in glee to that confession and kissing!
hirowriter chapter 63 . 6/15
And the final battle is over!
I really enjoyed the battle against Ganon and how you portrayed it.
It also makes a lot of sense to have the Divine Beasts attack Ganon in his giant boar form because it was an easier target to hit.
I am also really happy to see Link and Zelda properly together again!
I am curious what the last chapters are going to be, now that everything is over.
hirowriter chapter 62 . 6/11
Man... These battles we're intense.
Seeing Purah and Ganon fight over control for the Guardians was cool! I like it when Purah commented the Ganon's skill in hacking was like that of a machine, hinting on Ganon's new form.
I also hope Sudon's friend is alright.
And I am embarrassed to say that I did not expect Doran can use Yiga skills, even though he was an ex-Yiga member.
And it looks like the final showdown is going down next chapter!
hirowriter chapter 61 . 6/8
Oh boy, the final battle is almost here!
It was nice to have those side quest chapter's again, to see the thoughts of the other people before the final battle.
I cannot wait for the finale!
hirowriter chapter 60 . 6/8
It was really tough to read this chapter, especially when you already know how bad things were going to be...
And damn it Ganon, did he seriously leave the bodies of the Champions out there for Link and Zelda to see!? That's damn low!
hirowriter chapter 59 . 6/8
That was a really emotional chapter for me, with all those Memories, the confession, Link's justifiable anger towards the goddess, and the grief Link and Zelda had to go through.
I'm curious that I will in the next chapter, now the Link seems to have recovered all his memories.
hirowriter chapter 58 . 6/7
It was nice bro have a breather chapter, in order to absorb and think over everything that happened.
Also, I did not expect such a blunt bet about Zelda and Link having... er... making love.
It is also nice to see Riju show Link about how to cope with the burden of death in a war.
And it looks like Link will be visiting the Spring of Wisdom. Which means he'll run into a certain Malice-corrupted dragon.
