![]() Hi people! :D This is my first ever time posting up a challenge and since I don't want to do it myself, here's the challenge. PLEASE CLICK THIS LINK: http://www.fanfiction.ws/topic/44309/90368356/1/# 90389104 Challenge Rules:

THE LUNA LOVEGOOD LEVEL: Three quotes of your choice and you get to pick your own prompt. THE GINNY WEASLEY LEVEL: I give you two random quotes (song, book, HP...etc.) and you get to pick your own prompt. THE HARRY JAMES POTTER LEVEL: I give you two quotes related to HP, two quotes from a song, and two prompts. THE HERMOINE JEAN GRANGER LEVEL: I give you three quotes related to HP, three quotes from a song, and three prompts. I'll read all the fics and personally choose which three I liked the best. The quotes can be included in the story, be the inspiration of the story or both. USE YOUR IMAGINATION! :D Please post your finished stories onto this. :D Awards/Prizes: 1st Place: Favorite and Follow in story and as a author, a review for each chapter (one or two), and a shoutout in my next 3 HP stories. 2nd Place: Favorite and Follow in story and as a author, a review for each chapter (one or two), and a shoutout in my next HP story. 3rd Place: Favorite and Follow in story and as a author, and a review for each chapter (one or two). ![]() I'll take Ronald Bilius Weasley challenge please. Do we have to use both quotes, or can we choose one or the other 6/29/2013 #2 |
![]() You'll have to use both quotes and can you please note the pairing? Quote: "Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it. " - Dumbledore J.K Rowling. Quote from song: "Long handwritten note, deep in your pocket Words, how little they mean, when they're a little too late" - "Sad, Beautiful, Tragic" by Taylor Swift 6/29/2013 #3 |
![]() Ooh, those work together beautifully. Not sure of which pairing I'm going to use yet, it will either be R/Hr or H/G. Have to figure out how I'm using the quotes first. Never mind, think I'm going with Ron/Hermione. Do they have to be within the story or can they be the inspiration for the entire story? Also I didn't see a prompt. 6/29/2013 . Edited 6/29/2013 #4 |
![]() They could be both and sorry for not including the prompt. The prompt is blink of an eye. 6/29/2013 . Edited 6/29/2013 #5 |
![]() Hi! Since the mods have yet to tell you this, I'd just like to remind you that, according to the rules, you may not make challenges that have a lot of requirements, as they should go in theRequest & Give Challenges; Post Plot Bunny, Crossover and Specific, Detailed Plot Challenges - HERE! topic. However, since the subject of whether you have too many requirements is a bit iffy, it'd be best to get a second opinion on this. However, you are breaking rule 10, which states "When creating a challenge thread you cannot ban entries because of the sexual orientation (homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual, asexual, and et cetera) of pairings in them.". This means that you cannot ban slash and femmeslash, sorry. Good on you for making a challenge though--it's sure to inspire many people, once it's fixed up! 6/29/2013 #6 |
![]() Hello! Although your prompt idea and quote idea is good, I feel there might be too many restrictions on them. Unless you are running a specific challenge for a certain pairing, it's not advised you limit the pairings. It's also labelled as a 'challenge' meaning you are not required to read all entries if you are uncomfortable with anything. HPFC is a place to inspire people to write, only specifying three pairings, and limiting genres won't allow people to be inspired as much as they'd like to be, limiting the number of people who would want to join. I see you are already aware of the slash/femmslash. Once again, you don't have to read anything you're uncomfortable reading, but you must allow entries on femmslash and slash anyway. Also, as you have prizes and a due date, it should be labelled as a competition, not a challenge, and as the rules say, to anyone who is wanting to write slash/femmslash is still welcome to sign-up as a challenge. 6/29/2013 . ![]() What the heck, I will go for it and take the Hermione level, it's a challenge after all! So we have to use all the quotes we get and the prompts should inspire us, correct? I know you said a one or two shot, but do you have a word-limit, minimum you'd like us to consider? 6/29/2013 #8 |
![]() If you don't mind, please post this in the reposted version. http://www.fanfiction.ws/topic/44309/90368356/1/T he-Canon-Quote-Competition For your first question, yes. There is no word-limit. It could be a drabble for all I care. :D 6/29/2013 . Edited 6/29/2013 #9 |
![]() I'll take a Ronald Bilius Weasley if I may? Thanks 6/29/2013 #10 |
![]() If you don't mind, can you repost this in the new version? http://www.fanfiction.ws/topic/44309/90368356/1/# 90368356 Thanks a million. :D 6/29/2013 #11 |
