Hey look, I'm back and it hasn't been a month! :D
Anywho, this chapter might raise a question or two, but it does help piece together some things.
I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds or Fire Emblem, but I do own my OCs. Enjoy!
Chapter 6
"Chrom! Look!" Lissa shouts, pointing at one of our opponents.
My eyes follow the direction she's pointing. It's a young man, dark-blue hair the same shade of Chrom's, wearing a dark-blue, tight-fitting tunic that comes down about halfway down his thighs. His boots are knee-high, and a thin gold headband sits on his head. The young man has on a mask, dark-blue lined with gold, that is shaped a little bit like a butterfly.
His most notable belonging is the sword he holds. Silver blade, gold hilt… shaped exactly like the sword I've seen Chrom use.
"I see him…" Chrom replies. "Marth!" he calls. "One question before we begin!"
Okay, that answers one question—the young man's name—but not how they know him…
Marth doesn't say anything. Doesn't even move.
"…Fine then," Chrom says. "Our swords can speak for us!"
And with that, the fight begins.
Frederick, with Lissa in tow, heads off to the left, and I can see him get into a fight with the first of our opponents—some axe-wielding man. Chrom and Xylia go straight for Marth, and I can hear Chrom and Marth's sword's clashing.
Enough focusing on their battles. I have my own to deal with. Two guys with axes, and one mage. The mage is rapidly launching spheres of lighting at us, as the two others try to get close enough to attack.
"We need to get rid of that mage," I tell Stahl.
"I know," he replies, grunting as his shield fails to block one of the lightning-spheres.
I grip my sword… and return it to its hilt, instead pulling out one of the Fire tomes Xylia had given to me before the battle. Long-range might be our best bet right now. I open the book, "Fire!" I shout, pointing at the mage clad in red robes.
The man gets lucky, narrowly dodging the fireball that comes from my hand.
Page one turns to dust, and I scowl. I try again. This time, the fireball hits someone. One of the two axe-wielding guys, who blocked it with his left arm. He glares at me and says something to the other axe guy in… I have no clue what language that was.
Stahl lunges, catching the man I just injured with his sword. His weapon flies out of his hand, and he falls to the ground. He mumbles something into the dirt, and doesn't move after that. A small pool of blood forms around his unconscious body.
'Does that mean… he's out of the tournament?' I think. "Nice hit—AAAAH!" I scream when something hits me in the gut, really hard.
I fall off of Stahl's horse, backwards, and my head hits the ground. I think my vision fades to black for a few seconds, but I keep blinking. Everything is… unfocused…
My hand hits something papery. A tome, my special tome. I pull it tight, realizing that Stahl is busy with the mage and has no idea I fell off, and the remaining axe guy is ready to bring his axe down on me. I close my eyes and put a hand up, shouting off the first thing I can remember seeing in the tome. "Black Rose Thorn Whip!"
I feel something drain out of me, but I manage to open my eyes in time to see what happens.
A thorn bush—not a normal one, one with black vines—somehow appears above me, and one of the vines lashes out, wrapping around my attacker and constricting him like a snake.
A few seconds later, the man starts screaming, "Yield! Yield! I Yield!"
I exhale, and the bush disappears. I did it… I beat one of them…
Black spots dance on the corners of my vision… Sleep, yes… sleep sounds… good…
"Heal!" a familiar voice shouts.
My eyes shoot open, and I sit up in shock. Looking up, I see Lissa wink at me, her staff still glowing, before Frederick leads his horse away.
"You alright?" Stahl asks. He's off his horse now, and he helps me onto my feet.
I groan a little. "Tad sore, but I'll live," I reply. "You… took care of the mage?"
"Yep, no need to worry about him anymore," he says. "That was awesome, by the way. What you did. I've never seen magic like that."
I shrug. "If you say so."

Chrom ends up taking care of that Marth fellow, but not without a fight. Lissa had to use her healing staff twice to get Chrom back to 'functioning normally'. Granted, he and Xylia had also had to go up against two men in heavy armor (and with lances, to boot), but most of his injuries were sword-related.
Flavia comes up to us, clapping as half the crowd cheers while the other boos at us. "Well fought," she comments. "You have my respect. And, perhaps more to the point, you have your alliance. I will provide Ylisse with the soldiers she needs."
"Thank you, East-Khan," Chrom says, nodding.
The dark-skinned woman laughs. "I should be thanking you! It feels like ages since I've held full power. Come, my new friends! Tonight, we celebrate!"
She turns around, running off. More footsteps from behind, and I turn around. It's a tall, dark-skinned, bald man with an eyepatch over his left eye. He doesn't have a shirt on, although he does have gold armor over his arms and around his neck (this neck armor also includes an abundance of white fur for some reason). His black pants extend into his golden-colored boots.
"Bah! Any excuse for a party and Flavia jumps on it…" he says.
"Who are you?" I ask.
"I'm the West-Khan you so rudely removed from power!" he growls. "The name is Basilio." He turns to Chrom. "You're handy with a sword. I thought for sure I'd picked the stronger man."
"What do you know about Marth?" the Ylissean prince asks.
"Him? Bah! He's just some sellsword with delusions of grandeur. All I know is he turned up one eve and knocked my old champion flat. Anyway, he's gone now. Up and fled the moment the tournament ended."
I look around the arena. I can't believe I hadn't thought to look for that man. The man that my friends seem to know…
XXX
Before we leave the arena, Basilio ends up letting his former champion join our cause (basically his version of granting us help). He's a swordsman named Lon'qu. Brown hair, brown eyes, doesn't like to talk… oh yeah, and he has this thing against women. Lissa tried to get near him, and he shouted at her to get away.
Well, as long as he's helpful in combat…

"You did great out there, Sky!"
Akiza, who must have weaved her way through the massive crowd surrounding us, tells me, patting me on the back.
I wince, and she stops patting.
"Sorry, I didn't know you were still sore," she apologizes.
"It's alright. I'll be fine tomorrow," I reply. "What else would you expect from falling off a horse?"
Akiza laughs a little, "True, true. Say, that one spell you used… I don't know why, but it brought three words to my mind. Does Neo Domino City ring a bell?"
Neo… Domino… City…
I'm standing at the end of a massive extension of bridges. At the other end is a bright city, with buildings I can tell are tall even though I'm so far away. "Well," I hear my voice say, "looks like Satellite and Neo Domino City are finally connected again."
"Alright!" a male voice exclaims. It's… familiar, but I can't quite place it. "C'mon, let's be the first to cross it!"
"Naturally," another male voice, this one with… some accent… Bri—no, I think… Australian, says. It's also familiar, and I still can't place it. "We are the ones who helped build it."
"Finally saying 'we' and not 'I'?" the first male asks. "Who are you and what have you done with Jack Atlas?"
I turn my head in time to see two men—a blonde in a white trench coat and a ginger in jeans and a leather vest—get in an argument. With their fists. I can't tell which one of them was just named… Jack, by the other…
"Crow! Jack! You two need to stop!" a new voice shouts. This one I can place on familiarness—it's the boy from my other memory, the one who is my brother.
"Sky, are you going to answer me?" Akiza's voice jerks me out of my memory.
"Uh, what?"
"Well, I said Neo Domino City, and you just started staring off into space."
"Er, yeah… That's because it triggered a memory," I reply. "Do the names Jack and Crow sound familiar?"
Akiza frowns, and narrows her eyes. "I think… maybe…?" She shakes her head. "They sound familiar, but I'm not getting any faces to them."
"Okay. What about… my brother?" I ask. "I don't even know his name… but he's been in two of my flashbacks so far. Do you remember anything about him?"
"Sorry, nothing's coming up," Akiza says, shrugging.
"Ah well. How about we head to the celebration, then?"
To be continued…
Well, that's the end of that! One of the spells in Sky's tome has been revealed, and even a little bit of her memory has returned—although it has nothing to do with how she and Akiza ended up in this world…
