I drop the scope and get up, grinning inwardly at the scene before me. Fists Thugs: 0, Tali: 1, Me: 1. Not that I recall how many where waiting in game, but there were only two here, and I was lining up on one when Tali took out the other.
Speaking of, she's aiming at me, and I hold my hands up.
"Easy Tali, easy. Heard you wanted to speak to me?"
I stare. There are C-Sec guards all around the doctors... and a body being brought out covered up, on a stretcher. And a certain Turian mourning the loss of a good friend...
About the time that I was rescueing Tali, Michel was being murdered.
My omnitool took that moment to buzz with an incoming message.
Reading it, I can't help the nervous laugh. Wrex did it. He took out Fist for betraying me... but now he's asking for bail.
Another message arrives... Commander Shepard has already left the station, a spectre, and on her way to hunt down Saren... Without Tali, Garrus, Wrex, and the evidence that proved Saren a traitor AND pointed out that Benezia was helping him... so no mission to Therum to pick up Liara. Without Noveria, the Rachni Queen wont be free to help later. And without Liara no discovering that Saren's goal is Ilos from the info gained from that... girl... on Feros.
All because years ago, I once said to her that I had a habit of recording everything, with everything, never knowing when it would come in use.
She used gun-cam footage, when she was watching Nihlus and Saren... the latter shooting the former and then commanding Geth was plenty evidence for the Council. Case Closed, Garrus hadn't asked around and gotten the lead about Doctor Michel. They hadn't been looking for him either, so never needed to speak to harkin about where Garrus was. As they weren't going to chase their own leads, they never went to my agent Barla Von to get word about Fist betraying me and how I sent Wrex, only he got caught up in C-Sec...
