Thought I'd include these as a sort of appendix. This is just the collection of haiku that I wrote for the story. Some were included, some got left out. The italicized ones are Kagome-written ones. Enjoy!

The dog in me howls.

Buried deep in my heart-cage.

It longs for freedom.

What is this feeling?

Did I breathe before you came?

Or learn how to since?

I sing of her eyes.

They reflect sky and ocean.

And put them to shame.

The winter lies deep.

It fills me and binds my heart.

She is the summer.

Strange, scholarly child.

Idiosyncratic girl.

Frustrating me thus.

Cold hands mean cold heart.

A lord must be vicious; cruel.

Or so I've been taught.

I might have been wrong.

I might have never known you.

I might never change.

I sing of sorrow.

Missed chances and lost moments.

Please forgive this fool.

The baka thinks me vexed.

He does not know his fumbling

amuses this lord.

Do not dream of her.

Foolish heart be still and silent.

Do not pound with want.

Blessed with strange bounty.

A curse becomes a blessing.

Winning a future.

Do you think me weak?

Did you believe you broke me?

As if I'd let you.

Suffer not, oh lord.

Stay in your castle of ice.

Let pride comfort you.

Tell my love I tried.

If all my kind disappear.

It is destiny.

Better that I die

than never to have known you.

Or met our Kenshin.

Never smelled this wind.

Nor paced this sun-lit world.

Before there was you.

The past cannot change.

The present is a tangle.

I fear the future.
