"Children nowadays," Aunt Muriel chuntered.
"I hate to agree with Aunt Muriel," Hermione said to her husband. "But that was a tad irresponsible don't you think?"
"You nearly called off the wedding four times when we were engaged," Ron said with a grin.
"Sometimes I wish I had," she sighed, but then shot him a cheeky grin.
"Rose seems happy," he said lightly.
"She really does," Hermione agreed.
"I don't understand why they had to be so damn dramatic," Ron grumbled. "They were together already."
"I don't think we have the full story Ron," Hermione said wisely. "Rose was always difficult to read."
"Will we have to have Malfoy over for dinner now?" Ron said, unhappily.
"Possibly," Hermione said. "And you have to behave."
"Well if he acts up you can always punch him again," Ron said with a grin.
Albus was feeling quite happy. Although he couldn't remember too much about last night, he knew he had ended up with someone who was distinctly blonde and very pretty. He thought it might have been Donna. Though she had been avoiding him like the plague the whole day. Well then it probably was Donna. Even though it was obviously entirely meaningless, evidenced by the fact that he had woken up alone in his bed, it still meant that he was getting over Lillian.
Scorpius and Rose were such drama queens he thought. They always had to make a scene. One of the Scamander twins was examining a gnome that had sneaked into the wedding tent. Weirdo Albus thought dismissively. It must be Lysander. Lorcan was far more normal.
"Donna," he called across the tent. If anything he should probably apologize to her. His performance couldn't have been particularly top notch last night. He had been completely drunk off his face.
"Albus," she said, sounding distinctly uncomfortable.
"So about last night-"
"Nothing," she said quickly. "I didn't see anything. Not even going to mention it. I promise."
"See?" he asked quizzically. Had he slept with her or just flashed her. Merlin that was embarrassing. "So we didn't-"
"You and me?" she asked. "No no. I definitely went to bed alone last night."
"Oh," Albus said. Had he imagined it? "Wait. What did you see?"
"Nothing," she said, sounding entirely untruthful. "I have to go now. I'll see you later."
Merlin, Albus thought. What could he have possibly done to her that made her unable to look him in the eye?
Daemon had Lucy Weasley pinned up against a wall and his hands were slowly making their way up her dress.
"My you do move fast," she said, half laughing, half gasping.
"Maybe I just really want you," he mumbled into her hair.
Then he pressed his lips against hers and kissed her on and on. She moved her fingers through his curly hair and he had to suppress a groan. Merlin this girl affected him like no one else could.
"Well at least someone's having fun at my wedding," a voice said sharply.
"Hey Lily," Lucy said, disengaging herself from Daemon.
"As much as I enjoy this impromptu porn show," Lily said, trying to suppress a giggle. "Aunt Muriel doesn't seem to share my appreciation. She sent me over here to tell you that apart from dressing far too provocatively, the fact that you're rubbing yourself up against a boy shows you have loose morals."
"Well I do have loose morals," Lucy said smiling.
"Especially when boys as nice looking as Daemon are involved right?" Lily said. "Well enjoy yourselves. But moving to a more private place might be wise."
"Will do," Lucy said to Lily and then turning to Daemon asked if he had ever seen the inside of the Burrow.
"Don't do anything I wouldn't do," Lily called after them. Though she would do Daemon in a second. That boy really was beautiful she mused. Lucky Lucy.
"So I guess no wedding then?" someone said, coming up behind her.
It was Daniel Wood looking absurdly handsome in navy blue dress robes.
"You look nice," Lily said.
"So do you," he replied lightly. Lily still had her white dress on and she blushed.
"I should go change," she said. "I'm sorry you came all the way from Merlin only knows where. I mean it was a little pointless."
"Nah," he said. "It's okay. I like seeing you. Even if it wasn't exactly the happy occasion we thought it was going to be."
"Oi Lily!" James yelled. "We're leaving."
"I'd better go," Lily said. "We should meet up soon."
"I'd like that," Daniel said, kissing her on the cheek.
"Coming! Coming!" she yelled to James.
The mountain of luggage James and Sophie had brought with them was piled up outside the house. Lily's Gran and Granddad were there, along with Al, her mum and her dad.
"Are you really leaving without saying a proper goodbye to everyone?" Lily asked incredulously.
"It'd take to long to track them all down," James said. "I'll write, I promise."
"You had better," Lily said giving him a huge hug.
"I'll miss you James," her mum said, enveloping her eldest son in her arms.
"Miss you too Mum," he said.
Albus was slightly surprised when Sophie turned around and gave him a hug. He hadn't been quite as hostile to her as other members of his family but they had never been particularly close.
"Last night was great," she whispered into his ear. "We should do it again sometime."
a/n: So this is the final final chapter. There's a sequel that's up right noww :) It's called The Way The Game Is Played so if you're interested in James's story you could check that out. Also I've decided that I don't really want to give up on Rose and Scorpius because I really enjoy writing about them. So that's also there. Sorry for the lack of Rose/Scorpius in this chapter. But anyway this chapter was more of a segue into my next story. Thanks for reading this one :) Hope you liked it.
