"You see, old chap, it means a lot to me having you here now. This spot is very important in my life. Every time when I am at home and something is wrong, or when I feel especially happy- as I do now." I nodded in agreement. "And now I'm able to share this with you…wait until the light is in the right angle. First, the shadow of the leaves will make everything appear spotted…then, the sky will become orange and the horizon will look like it has been set on fire." I could but smile. A sudden wave of melancholy had gotten hold of me for I was quite aware that he would not be pleased by what I was about to say. I felt like a traitor to ruin that special moment for him. I surmise he must have seen the sadness in my features, for he stopped talking and looked at me with concern. "Whatever is the matter?"br / "Victor…there is something I must tell you." He did not reply, even though I left enough time for him to do so. He must have suspected something grave by / "I'm sure you remember when we talked about our futures?"br / Now it was he who nodded. "How could I forget?" a rhetorical / "And I told you that I would like to become an actor…even more so, now you encouraged me to do so."br / "Yes…"br / "Well…my plan requires my going to London."br / "So? That is splendid, my dear Sherlock! I am happy to hear that! I shall come with you. After our studies-"br / As sorry as I was for my rude behaviour, I simply had to interject there. "No. Victor…there is such a thing as an age limit to actors…if I do it, I have to do it now. I will not return to College with you, but go straight to London after the holiday."/p
