Okay sorry guys it has taken so long. I've had a bit of writers block and my stupid laptop is being a jerk.

So I don't know if I'm going to leave it here or add one more chapter. but I have to start on one of the two other ideas I have. :D

If you would like to throw me some ideas in case I do decide to add one more chapter. Throw them my way.

He doesn't know how it happened, but it had.

His wife had been shot in the line of duty and was on the way to the hospital.

When the two officers came and told him he was working on a case at another scene.

He was studying the scene in front of him to see if he could picture what took place a few hours ago. He was brought to focus as another car pulled up carrying his best friend and his partner's husband.

"I didn't think this had anything to do with Guns and gangs." Sam said looking around. He knew this murder wasn't a gang related one.

"It's not," Oliver told him looking gloomy.

Sam raised an eyebrow and questioning them on their presence "Then why are you guys here?"

Now Oliver was letting his emotions fully show. His best friend's wife, someone he looked as a daughter was shot today and it was pretty bad.

Oliver cleared his throat. "Sam," as his voice broke.

Sam popped his head up when he heard the break in Oliver's voice. He almost fell to his knees looking at Oliver's tear filled eyes. "Is she-"

"She at the hospital now. Come on."

Steve Peck said, being strong for the both of them.

He stood up as did the others, as soon as the doctor came through the door.

"Andy Swarek?" The doctor asked.

Everyone nodded.

"Okay, is there a Sam Swarek?"

Sam raised his hand. "Me,"

"Mr. Swarek can I talk to you alone?"

Sam shook his head no. "This is our family. Anything you tell me you can tell them."

The doctor looked around the waiting room. It was full of uniforms waiting for a update on one of their own.

"Okay, Detective Swarek, made it through surgery without any complications. The bullet did not hit anything serious but it did get stuck in her shoulder bone. I do expect a full recovery."

He heard the room sigh in relief and somewhat relax. He smiled at the support there was. "Mr. Swarek, if you will follow me I'll take you to your wife."

Sam didn't have to be told twice.

They had found the perfect place to get married.

He was standing in front of all his friends and family in a tux, waiting for Andy.

His breath caught when he saw her. She was and always will beautiful.

But this was like seeing her for the first time. The whole two minutes of watching her walk down the walk way on her father's arm, he wanted to run out to her to touch her. But, he knew that Tommy would need the last few moments with his daughter.

"You look breathtaking." He told her as they turned to the preacher.

"Not too bad yourself," She winked at him.

They kept things simple.

As soon as Sam heard "I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride." Sam didn't have to be told twice.

He walked in the room and he thought he would walk into something with her hooked up too all kind of tubes but she wasn't.

In fact she was awake.

Sam couldn't say anything. He just walked over to her and pulled her into his arms. "I love you," he whispered.

"I love you too." She sobbed into his neck.

…

Not long after that, the doctor came in. "So there was some news I didn't want to share in the crowd, and I wanted to tell both of you guys."

They both looked at him extremely confused.

"You are pregnant Mrs. Swarek."

Both hands go straight to her stomach.

"We will being in a tech to determine how far along you are in a little while. Do you guys have any questions?"

They shook their head no.

…

"Baby! Sam we are going to have a baby!"

"I know," He said kissing her hand, then bent down to kiss her head. He went from thinking he could lose his wife too having his wife to also having his wife with a baby on the way.

Andy smiled between kisses. "You know what?" She asked playing with the hair on his neck.

"What?" He answered cupping her face.

"I'm happy!"

"Me too," He said kissing her again. Then he moved to kiss her stomach. "A new us and a new life."
