A/N: I kind of feel like shit for doing this... but I'm afraid if I don't, I won't ever finish this story. I know I said there were three chapters left. I know it's going to disrupt the flow of the story by suddenly changing it like this. But if I'm going to finish it I don't have any other choice. This is going to be the last chapter of the story.

The truth is, I've grown to hate this story. I like it for what it is, I'm happy a lot of other people seem to like it, but I don't like the way I wrote a lot of things and I think some chapters are so bad it's embarrassing. I want to move on from this story SO BAD and I can't do that if it's not finished. I know I said I was sad it was ending, and in a way I am but Alvin and Jeanette's next chapters were just stressing me out way too much. Their stories are finished and I have no idea where else to go with them, even with the ideas I've been given by other people.

I tried, believe me, I've been trying to write those chapters, but it's just not working, so I've decided to change things. I'm not going to do their chapters, I'm just going to do Theodore's last POV and finish this story. If I don't do this, this story won't ever get finished and I'd rather it have an ending, even if it's a rushed one. I want to move on from this story and be able to improve, I'm not nearly as proud of this as I used to be.

I'm sorry and I hope this sudden change doesn't bother people too much... I'm doing it for you guys. I was this close to giving up, but I knew I had to get some kind of ending out for all of the people who have been reading.

So yeah. Enjoy, I guess.

Theodore tried to calm down. That familiar tight feeling at the back of his throat reminded him that he was on the verge of tears, and he didn't want that to happen, not in front of anyone. He was older now and if he started to cry over something so silly, Alvin would probably pick on him.

But he couldn't find Teddy anywhere... he told himself not to bring the stuffed bear along. Not because he was embarrassed by still having Teddy, but because something like this could happen!

He hadn't taken Teddy out of his suitcase for the entire trip until last night. He made sure to grab him once he was sure Alvin was asleep (just because he wasn't embarrassed didn't mean he wanted to listen to Alvin's teasing). He couldn't help it, last night he had really needed Teddy.

Maybe he wasn't about to cry just because of the bear. He was just so frustrated with all that was happening and losing Teddy was the last straw. He needed to find him.

"Um, Simon?" Theodore spoke up once he was able to trust his voice. "H-have you seen Teddy?"

Simon looked up from where he was carefully placing things in his own suitcase. "I wasn't aware you brought him," he said. Theodore's heart sank.

As if on cue, Alvin appeared. Theodore braced himself and waited for some kind of baby joke. Instead Alvin pointed at the opening of their tent and said, "It's in there."

Theodore's eyes followed to where Alvin was pointing at, his face lighting up. He could have sworn he looked there already, but he was just happy to find him. "Thanks Alvin!" he exclaimed, a mixture of shock and delight. He rushed over to Teddy and scooped him up in his arms, quickly putting the bear away in his bag before he got lost again - on top of all of his clothes and stuff, of course, so that he didn't get squished in there.

He was thankful Alvin wasn't going to take the easy opportunity to tease him this time. It was probably because Alvin knew he was upset about things already.

He sighed, trying to concentrate on getting all of his things together instead of his problems with Eleanor and Juliet. He still didn't know what to do. He wanted to talk to Eleanor, but how did he do that when she so obviously didn't want to talk to him?

Things would be better if he could muster up the courage to tell her everything. Eleanor liked him as more than a friend and thought Theodore didn't feel the same way when he did. If he could just tell her she was wrong, everything would be okay again.

Except that wasn't even true. There was still Juliet. He liked her a lot, he really did, just... not in the way he used to think he did. He didn't want to hurt her feelings, he hated just thinking about it. As for Eleanor, he was already hurting her feelings... he just couldn't win.

"Can somebody help me get these?" he heard Dave asking. He looked over and saw Dave beginning to fold up the few lawn chairs they had set outside days prior. He opened his mouth to say he would, but the sight of Eleanor caused him to quickly stop himself.

He watched her smile politely at Dave and offer to help. With a lump in his throat, Theodore turned away and tried to busy himself like everyone else was. He still had some stuff to pack.

After a lot more packing, which mostly consisted of Theodore looking around to make sure he just wasn't forgetting anything else, he was ready to go. Everyone else was still busy getting everything else together by the time he was finished. He was having a hard time thinking of how to help them out without getting in Eleanor's way.

"Oh, Theodore!" a voice suddenly called from the Chipettes' tent. He turned around, confused. Brittany smiled and beckoned him forward. "Would you be a dear and come help me pack my things?"

Theodore frowned. He wasn't sure why Brittany would ask him of all people to help her, but it wasn't like he was going to say no to helping someone. He returned her smile and made his way over to the tent.

Brittany shoved him aside and zipped up the tent so fast he almost got whiplash - and he wasn't even sure what that was! He just heard Simon say it a lot.

"We've got to talk," Brittany said, her voice and expression nothing but serious.

The nervous chipmunk fiddled with his hands, unsure of what to say. Brittany scared him sometimes, and he didn't feel very safe alone in a tent with her, that meant there was no one else to save him if she got too angry with him. He hoped he hadn't done anything to upset her already.

"About what?" he managed to ask, resisting the urge to try and make a run for it. He wasn't a very fast runner anyway.

"Eleanor," Brittany said.

Theodore practically deflated on the spot. His shoulders sagged and he stared at the floor of the tent, unsure of where else to look. "Um, okay," he muttered. That was the last thing he wanted to talk about but it seemed like he didn't have much of a choice.

"You've got to tell her how you feel."

His eyes went as wide as saucers. "How I f-feel?" he sputtered, shaking his head. How would Brittany know about that?

"Please," Brittany rolled her eyes, "you didn't think Alvin would actually try to talk to you about my sister on his own, did you? I got him to do that!"

He frowned, chewing on his lip. He guessed that made a little more sense.

Once he was over his initial surprise, he was able to say something. "I don't know," he shrugged, avoiding Brittany's piercing stare, "she doesn't want to talk to me..."

"She doesn't want to talk to you because she likes you and thinks you don't like her," Brittany explained.

"I-I know," Theodore nodded, "but it's still hard to talk to her."

Brittany sighed loudly, not bothering to hide her impatience. Theodore winced and looked away again.

"Don't you get it?" she demanded. "If you just tell her how you feel, she won't be upset anymore! She'll be happy! Isn't that what you want?"

Theodore started to say yes, but Brittany wasn't finished, "I've had to put up with Eleanor being moody almost the entire trip! She's my sister and I want her to stop acting the way she is, and I think the only way that's going to happen is if you just tell her."

Unable to stop himself, Theodore blurted out, "W-why do you... care so much?"

Brittany narrowed her eyes at him. "Why does everyone say that?" she asked, more to herself than him. She fluffed up her hair while adding, "Like I said, I want to see my sister happy. Plus I've already decided to help her fix this and I'm not giving up."

He nodded slowly. He started to say something again, before stopping himself. It took a few more tries for him to force it out.

"How do you know she'll be happy if I tell her?" he asked. "Maybe she doesn't even like me anymore... maybe she just doesn't want to talk to me b-because she hates me now and..."

"That's not it," Brittany interrupted before he could make himself feel any more miserable than he already did. "Trust me, Theodore. She does like you. You have to tell her."

Theodore could feel his face brightening, if just a little. The look on Brittany's face was enough to do that at least. "Are you sure?" he pressed.

"Yes!" Brittany snapped. He jumped at her sudden change in attitude. "I'm beyond sure! Just TELL HER!"

Theodore nodded quickly. "Okay, okay! I'll... I'll tell her," he nodded again, trying to assure himself more than he was her, "I can do that."

Brittany smiled, looking pleased. "Just don't tell her now," she said firmly, "telling her before you talk to Juliet about any of this would be awful. No girl wants a guy to tell him he likes her while he's got a girlfriend! Unless she hates the girl, now that's another story."

"Right," Theodore pretended to know what she was talking about. He already knew he wanted to tell Juliet before Eleanor, it seemed like the right thing to do and the fairest way to tell Juliet the truth.

He thanked Brittany and left the tent. He knew they would be leaving soon, and after his talk with Brittany, he was going to have a lot to think about on the ride home...

Three days later, Theodore was feeling much more hopeful.

He was glad they were all home again. It was easier to settle his nerves and sort out exactly what he wanted to do in the comfort of his real home.

The day they had arrived back at their own houses, Theodore made sure to walk over to Juliet's and tell her everything. He didn't want to be anything but honest with her, she deserved that much. Of course he did leave out that he and Eleanor kissed... he was too scared that part would really hurt her feelings.

Juliet seemed to take it well, much to Theodore's relief. She looked sad once he finished explaining everything, but she wasn't crying or yelling or anything like that. Instead she told him it was okay and told him they could still be friends.

Now today was the day he had been waiting for. He didn't feel right going to tell Eleanor about how he felt right after breaking up with Juliet, it just seemed like a mean thing to do, so he had decided to wait.

Today would be the day. He was going to do it. He was going to go to the Miller house and tell Eleanor.

He hurried into the kitchen and grabbed a piece of toast for the walk there. Simon looked up from his spot at the kitchen table where he had been leaning over a thick textbook. He raised an eyebrow. "Where are you going?"

"To the Chipettes' house," Theodore explained quickly, "I'm going to talk to Eleanor! Wish me luck!"

He rushed out of the door as fast as he could, eating the toast he'd grabbed along the way. He was rushing because he was excited to finally get to tell Eleanor his feelings, but also because he didn't want to give himself time to chicken out.

Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door to the Miller household. He waited a few agonizing seconds until Jeanette finally opened it.

"Hello Theodore," she smiled sweetly at him. "Can I help you?"

"Hi Jeanette! Is Eleanor home?" he asked, returning her smile.

Jeanette's face became unreadable. She hesitated, mumbling under her breath, "Excuse me f-for a moment..." She shut the door, leaving Theodore to wait outside once more. He could feel himself growing nervous all over again.

Eventually Jeanette poked her head back out the door. "She'll be out in a minute," she said before returning back into the house.

Theodore looked around, waiting as patiently as he could. It felt like forever by the time the door was opening again.

"Hi," Eleanor said slowly.

"Hi," he said back, not sure what else to say. He offered her a small smile. "Um... I need to talk to you."

Eleanor nodded. "Well, go ahead," she shrugged. It almost looked as if she thought she knew what he was going to say, but he knew that couldn't be true. She was looking more upset by the minute, and he knew if he didn't hurry and say it she would go back inside soon and his chance would be gone.

"Eleanor, I really like you. I like you... more than a friend," he scratched the back of his head while he spoke, this was a lot harder than he thought it would be, "and I liked it when we kissed. I don't like you not wanting to talk to me, I don't like how that feels," he continued, avoiding having to look at Eleanor, he knew if he did he would mess up and not be able to finish, "so even if... if you don't like me still, that's okay, but I hope you'll talk to me again at least because I miss talking to you and being your best friend and... yeah, that's it, I think."

By the time he was finished he finally looked at Eleanor, trying to see what her reaction was. She stood, rooted to the spot, not even cracking a smile.

"I'm sorry..." Theodore sighed, "this was a bad idea, I should go home, I didn't-"

"Theodore!" Eleanor suddenly exclaimed, a huge grin breaking out on her face. "You're serious?"

He nodded slowly. Her grin grew even more.

"You have no idea how happy I am to hear you say that," she continued while Theodore let out a breath of relief, "I missed talking to you too, Theodore. I'm so sorry I've kind of been being a jerk lately. I was just... upset."

"I'm sorry," Theodore frowned, but Eleanor quickly shook her head.

"No, it was me, not you," she assured him. She paused, as if something had dawned on her. "What about Juliet?"

"Oh, well, I told her how I felt about you and we decided to just... you know, be friends," he explained.

Eleanor raised an eyebrow. "So, what does that mean?"

Theodore could feel his face turning red. He knew what Eleanor was trying to get at, but he hadn't prepared himself for asking anything like that, he had only given himself pep talks for telling her how he felt, not the next step!

After he managed to let out a lot of awkward "um"s and "uh"s, Eleanor laughed and took a step closer to him. It was nice to see her look genuinely happy again.

"That's okay," she said. "I know what it means. It means this."

Theodore couldn't even register what was about to happen. One second Eleanor was smiling at him, the next she was kissing him. His eyes went wide and he had to stop himself from falling back in shock before he was able to kiss her back.

She pulled away, the smile still on her face when she did.

Theodore gathered all the courage he had and took her hand in his. He knew that he would have to work with her when it came to this, even if he was nervous.

"Want to go get ice cream with me?" he asked her.

"Of course," she let him lead her down the steps as they began to walk in the direction of the ice cream parlor. They walked in blissful silence for a few minutes until Eleanor said, "Oh, Theodore?"

"Yeah?"

"We are never going camping again."

They both laughed.

It was true, the trip had caused a lot of crazy things to happen... but Theodore had to admit, if it meant he got to have what was happening now be reality, he would go through it all over again - and he had a feeling everyone else would agree with him on that, even if it had been one wild week.

A/N: THE END!

Don't hate me for ending it two chapters early. I'm sorry if it seems rushed, but at least there's an ending.

Hope you all enjoyed.
