Where we go from here.

Hey everybody Luna here miss me? Thank you to everyone who reviewed and also everyone who added this to their favorites or followed this. Now that thanks are out of the way lets get you some information.

My computer problem is half solved. I got my mom's old laptop but I have to share it with my dad who's into Anime right now so he and I are sharing one computer. Between bills and work I'm hoping to get my own computer but we'll see how it goes. Hope this will all be fixed soon.

I'm pleased that you all like how I'm portraying Ash. I'm really struggling to make a strong and smart trainer but keep his core personality intact. In my eyes Ash is a good trainer he just has a bad habit of going one step forward and then leaping backward.

On a side note I hated the Unova series he not only leapt backwards but he was thrown off a cliff, crashed, burned and was then flushed down the toilet. That series was hard to watch. On another side note I'm loving the X and Y version.

Moving on I noticed not too many fans are crazy about Misty. Which I totally understand since I'm not her biggest fan however, I'm trying to build her up into a better character. Despite her hard headedness, her putting Ash down constantly, and being over all utterly useless, she was always right behind him when he needed it. So I still don't care for the girl but I'm trying to write her in the way I believe she should have been portrayed in the Pokémon series.

The poll on Eevee: So far our Top two picks are Espeon and Sylveon. I'm not sure whom we are going to pick yet but that is still a ways away.

Ps this edit by my new beta reader 1-800-spikeit who really great give her a hand.

Well that's done enjoy our story!

After winning his second badge Ash and his friends are beside the river near Cerulean city, discussing their plans for the rest of the day. Ash had his starter pokémon a Pikachu named Storm resting on his shoulder and Sunny his Sandshrew was still plastered to his left leg.

"Well I think our first priority should be to heal our pokémon at the Center," the young trainer said. His first thought was to take care of the pokémon before everything else. However, his stomach didn't agree as it let out a growl. His two friends laughed as he blushed then rubbed the back of his head.

Still laughing Brock replied, "I have to agree with you there but how about this, while you go to the Pokémon Center I'll fix us something to eat and by the time you get back it should be done."

Misty nodded her head eagerly any plan that involved keeping Ash away from cooking had her full support. She was gathering her pokéballs for him when a thought hit her. "Hey Ash I think you need to leave Storm here and take Blade with you since he hasn't been treated at the Pokémon Center yet."

"Oh? Is someone actually caring about bug pokémon now?" Ash asked winking at her.

The water trainer blushed and turned to see the calm Scyther standing beside her. She carefully laid a hand on its green shoulder. Her hand shook at little at first but it stopped as she took a deep breath.

"I'm still not there but I'm getting better. I might not ever be a bug loving girl, but I'm getting closer to tolerating them," the redhead stared into the bug pokémon eyes determinedly, "besides Blade and Surskit might be the only bug pokémon I'll ever be comfortable with."

Blade nodded his head at her, he understood the girl was still a little afraid of him but she was starting to like him more. She was trying and that was what really mattered in the long run.

"So does that mean you're going to give Blade that hug now?" Ash asked laughing as she jumped back an enormous blush across her cheeks.

"Don't push your luck Ketchum," she barked at him.

"All right enough you two," Brock ordered raising his arms and standing between the two trainers, "Misty is right though, Blade should go to get a check up at the Center."

Ash nodded his head agreement. "So let's see Blade, Ace, Nika, and Bulma are my pokémon that need to go to the Center."

Misty pulled out three pokéballs and handed them to Ash "Surskit, Shellder, and Feebas need to heal as well."

Brock nodded his head in agreement as he started to pull things out of his backpack so he could make their meal, "While I get the food ready Misty can set up camp."

He pulled out a pokéball and released a familiar rock pokémon that was shaped like a boulder with two sturdy arms.

"Geodude do you think you could help us set up camp for the night?" the breeder asked his pokémon. With a nod the pokémon started to locate a good spot to start digging a small trench for the fire tonight.

Ash turned to the Pikachu on his shoulder, "Alright Storm you stay with Misty."

"Pika!" the yellow rodent leapt off his trainer and landed on the female trainer's shoulder. Misty giggled at this and petted the yellow mouse's head. As the Scyther left her side the Pikachu waved goodbye to them, but the electric pokémon felt a shiver up his spine as he locked eyes with the bug pokémon who was eyeing him surprisingly coldly.

"What are the chances you want to stay too?" the trainer asked Sunny, the little Sandshrew shook her head no and rubbed her head on his leg. With a sigh the trainer wondered how he was going to get Sunny to not be so clingy. Maybe his mom might have an answer? With a wave goodbye Ash set off to Cerulean city again.

-Pokémon Center-

At the Pokémon Center young trainer Ash Ketchum had just finished handing all the pokémon to Nurse Joy. As soon as he made sure his and Misty's pokémon were taken care of he turned, saw the phones and decided while he waited he would talk to his mom.

As he reached the phone he glanced down at his leg where Sunny clung, she still had a grip on his leg.

"So do you think Mom is still at home or at Professor Oak's right now?" he asked his Sandshrew.

"Shrew-Shrew," she answered firmly.

Nodding his head he dialed the number "You're right Mom is probably at the Professor's place."

"Hello this is Professor Oak's Lab this is Delia speaking how can I help you?"

"Mom!"

Ms. Ketchum blinked her eyes and a bright smile appeared on her face. "Oh hi sweetie how was your battle?"

In response he pulled out the Cascade Badge and showed it to her, puffing up his chest with pride. "See for yourself!"

Seeing this Delia couldn't help but giggle a little. Seeing her little man so proud of himself reminded her of when he was little and he used to give her his drawings, pick her flowers, and even when he helped her pick the berries in the yard. That little chest would thrust out like he had done the best thing in world; it was so cute.

"Oh Sweetie I'm so proud of you! How was the battle?"

"Well you..." Crash! Mom what wa..." Crash!

In the background a loud scream of "Nido!" followed by a softer cry of "Nidoran" could be heard.

Ash looked at his mom curiously, but she waved her hand dismissively "Oh don't mind that Honey it's just little Aednat has been challenging a Rhyhorn that Gary has caught."

Ash jumped up in shock, "A Rhyhorn!?"

Ms. Ketchum nodded, "that's right at first Rhyhorn didn't care to fight her but after she sent him fly with a rock smash the pokémon changed his tune."

A motherly "Nido!" cry was heard.

"My poor little Riney has been so stressed trying to get her baby sister to stop. I swear that little girl must have some sort of fighting type pokémon parent."

In the background he heard Professors Oak cry "No my lab!" followed by a Crash.

A sweat drop appeared on the back of Ash's head, "Well that's Aednat for you."

Not hearing him the young woman turned around and called out happily, "Aednat, Ash is on phone do you want to say hi to him?"

The little blue rodent's ears flickered as she heard the name of her trainer. In response as the Rhyhorn charged at her, she used her back legs to kick off his head in a double kick and flip over him so she could run toward the phone. She jumped on the table in front the phone and raised her leg to wave at her trainer.

"Nido!-Nido!" she greeted happily with a wave.

"Aednat behave for Mom ok, And take your battle outside we don't need you to wreck the professors lab," Ash told her scowling half-heartedly at his battle hungry pokémon.

"Nido" She replied with a salute and took off running out to the back with an angry Rhyhorn chasing after her along with a slightly bigger Nidoran with a yellow and pink ribbon, who was trailing the two and calling out despairingly.

Ash started to laugh at Aednat's antics when he spotted a blue bat perched upside down on his mom's ponytail.

"Hey mom why does Bruce hang on your hair? Is that normal? He asked, thinking about a certain sand rodent that liked to cling to his leg.

"Well honey this Zubat is particularly young right now and isn't used to being away from its mother. Baby pokémon tend to cling to someone they're comfortable with. It will take some time but soon he'll be flying off on his own and won't need to cling to me as much. Right now he's just taking my scent in so that he's able to find me easily, nothing to worry about."

Ash's eyes trailed down his leg to Sunny then he ran his hand threw his hair and let out sigh.

"Is your little Sunny doing the same thing?" Ash jumped and looked in surprise at his mom.

"H-How!?" he asked startled.

"Well she is the new addition to your team and when she was here she came home with me and wound up sleeping in your room and had one of your old sneakers in her little arms."

Ash flushed in embarrassment and his mom giggled at him, "Don't worry honey from what you told me the pokémon from Mt Moon suffered because of Team Rocket and it's only natural that these two got attached to us after such an event. I bet if you didn't send Brucey here right away he might have become more attached to you than me."

The young trainer smiled, "Well I'm glad you've got more company now."

The mother and son smiled at one another in perfect accord when a voice announced "Ash Ketchum your pokémon are ready please report to the front desk."

"Well that's me I'll talk to you later mom," he gave one final wave as he hung up the phone. As he walked to the desk to pick up his pokémon a young officer stepped in front of him.

A familiar uniform met his eyes, from the blue high heels up her long legs to the navy blue short skirt to her uniform blouse. His eyes landed on the badge that was on the top of her left breast.

Now a normal boy would be thinking about how nice this lovely uniform clung to the curves of the woman in front of him, but this was Ash, and his thoughts were more along the lines of wondering if the uniform was comfortable, since his mom complained about high heels whenever she wore them. He pitied the poor officer if it was standard issue and she didn't have a choice. When he finally met her eyes he realized they were familiar.

"Officer Jenny?" the young trainer asked confused. Looking closer at her he realized something "Hey did you get taller?"

With a sneer the officer replied, "So you met one my family members?"

"Oh are you two twins? I met an officer that looks just like you in Viridian City," Ash told her eagerly.

"That was my younger cousin, so you're familiar with her hmm?" At this Ash started to blush and look away. How could he forget that crazy officer? Because of her, he and Misty got soaked by storm they were trying to beat.

"I was doing a head count young man you seem to like water pokémon and you have four of them. And isn't one of them a pretty rare find?" the young officer questioned suspiciously. (A/N Surskit is hard to find in some games I looked it up)

Before Ash could answer the officer continued, "I also find it strange that your register here states that you're a beginner trainer and yet you're able to carry seven pokémon, well eight if that Sandshrew on your leg counts. If it's really yours, care to explain?" She demanded bending down look him in the eye, hands on hips, brown eyes sharp and accusatory.

Despite the warning bells going off in his head, he decided to answer honestly believing that as long as he told the truth nothing bad would happen to him. "The truth is Officer three of those pokémon aren't mine they belong to my friend Misty, we just finished a battle and she didn't want to come into the city so I offered to take her pokémon to the center for her."

"So you admit those water pokémon aren't yours!" She shouted challengingly.

"Well yeah but-"

"So you stole them!?" Officer Jenny accused cutting Ash off.

"No! I…" Ash's arms were grabbed before he could finish, and a pair of handcuffs clicked shut over his wrists, "Hey wait a minute! I didn't steal those pokémon they belong to my friend Misty!"

"A likely story, tell it to the judge!" She shot back scathingly.

Looking down Ash knew he needed to do something, the officer simply refused to listen to reason. He was going to need help. Spotting Sunny on his leg a plan began to form. He just hoped she'd be willing to be away from him.

"Sunny!" he cried out, startling the little armadillo into looking up at her trainer. "I need you to go get Misty, go back to camp and get her. She's the only one able to prove my innocence. Go get Misty Ok? And hurry!"

The little Sandshrew looked up at Ash, tilted her head, smiled and nodded in reply. For once her little arms let go of him, and in the blink of an eye she was curled up into a ball and started to spin rocketing towards the door.

"Oh, no you don't!" Officer Jenny shouted pulling out a pokéball with the police symbol on it. A canine Pokémon appeared, it had orange fur with black stripes along its back and legs, the fur on its muzzle, chest, belly, and tail was cream-colored, and there was an additional tuft of cream-colored fur on top of its head. It had gray eyes, a black nose, and large, round ears. Its forepaws have two visible claws, while its hind paws had three toes each. Each paw had a brown pad, and around its neck was a police badge hanging from its collar.

"Growlithe go after that Sandshrew!" Officer Jenny ordered her pokémon.

"Growlithe!" the dog barked eagerly as it caught sight of the armadillo pokémon and took off running.

(Enter Catch Me if You Can by Angela Via)

giggle]

Yeah

Oh... Come on, try to catch me
Oh... Catch me if you can!
Oh... Come on, try to catch me
Oh... Catch me... if you can!

Growlithe ran off and maneuvered in front of Sunny, and she uncurled to look at the orange striped puppy. The dog pokémon let out a growl of challenge at the small Sandshrew. In response she let out a cute giggle and curled up in a ball, taking off using her roll out attack to gain speed.

Look out! It's time the world was headin' for a
New thing, it's time I got ahead
Get back! Nothin's gonna stop me and I
Won't quit 'til I'm sittin' on the top

Growlithe ran determinedly after her, even as Sunny rolled into traffic, dodging cars left and right. The police pokémon was right on her heals when she spun ahead up a ramp and landed squarely on top of a passing eighteen wheeler.

Growlithe turned and barked at the huge truck in annoyance and frustration and started to chase it. Little Sunny sat on top waving cheekily at the pokémon chasing her.

Never give up when the going gets rough
I know I'm gonna make it through
To just try will never be enough
I'll show you there's nothin' that I can't do

She looked down at the road passing by and noticed she going in the wrong direction. Standing up she felt the road getting bumpy, and she started to loose her footing. She teetered for a moment before regaining her balance then with a deep breath she curled up again and started to spin as the eighteen-wheeler began to make its way towards another ramp up ahead.

The little sandy colored pokémon flew off the truck and landed on the street rolling back down the ramp in the right direction. She passed the police pokémon, who was forced to come to a screeching halt and turn around to start chasing her again, baying out his annoyance and frustration.

Oh... Come on, try to catch me
Oh... Catch me if you can! (Yeah)
Oh... Come on, try to catch me (Oh...)
Oh... Catch me... if you can!

The pokémon were running, or rolling in Sunny's case through an open park. Where a young couple was walking and holding hands. The woman laid her head on her boyfriend's shoulder contentedly. The male blushed and looked down at his girl staring into her eyes lovingly.

Unfortunately just then a breeze blew strongly by and the woman's skirt flew up as a strange sandy colored ball rolled between her legs. She let go of her boyfriend's hand trying desperately to hold down her skirt.

He was attempting to help when an orange blur raced past him and knocked him to the ground. Looking up he couldn't help but notice the view up his girlfriend's skirt and a blush spread across his face and a little blood escaped his nose.

Seeing this she screeched angrily at him and stomped in very sensitive places. She took off walking fuming mad leaving her boyfriend on the ground, nursing his wound, tears streaming from his eyes.

(Come on, come on, catch me now! Catch me, Pokémon!) Oooh...
(Can you come and catch me? Can you now? You can't catch me anyhow!)

The fire type chased the ground type getting closer and closer until the mutt ran straight into a tree. The armadillo having used it to roll up and push off so she could land behind the fiery dog.

Get up! Let's see what you're made of (made of)
Bring it on! You know I'm not afraid (I'm not afraid)
There's no way that you can slow me down now
It's time to show you what I'm all about

Sunny tried to talk to the puppy but it refused to listen turning and growling at her. She shook her head in exasperation taking a deep breath she waved her arms, gathering sand around her then pushed her arms forward and used sand attack, blinding the puppy for a moment and as he paused and whimpered shaking the sand from his eyes.

I never give up when the going gets rough
I know I'm gonna make it through
To just try will never be enough
I'll show you there's nothin' that I can't do

When his gaze was cleared he couldn't see his target. Looking around he tried to sniff her out, but before he could catch a good scent the ground erupted and he flew into the air with a surprised yelp as the Sandshrew attacked from underneath him. As he crashed to the ground he caught a glimpse of the direction the Sandshrew was going and he got up determinedly and began to chase her again now even farther behind than before.

Oh... Come on, try to catch me
Oh... Catch me if you can! (If you can)
Oh... Come on, try to catch me
Oh... Catch me... if you can!
Try to catch me!

It's so close, I can almost taste it (taste it)
There's no way I'll ever look back
It's so hard, but stoppin's not an option (oooh...)
I'm gonna keep on, (keep on) keep on (keep on) 'cuz I believe in me!

She could hear Misty's voice now and spun closer and closer to her. Misty looked up just in time to notice a spinning blur as she was tackled to the ground. The sleeping bags flew into the air and they landed on top of their tent, making it collapse inward.

Storm didn't even have time to react as he fell backwards with her. As they landed on the ground the poor Pikachu rolled until he knocked into the water from the canteen that was supposed to be fresh tea for the group spilling it all over the ground.

"Hey!" Misty shouted in surprise as she flew backward on to her butt. Storm jumped to his feet from his place on the ground and while the young girl was trying to regain her bearings the yellow rodent recognized the pokémon that tackled her.

"Pika" their leader exclaimed to the group as he pointed to the young pokémon on top of the girl. The two humans looked and noticed that it was Ash's little Sandshrew.

The red head's eyes widened as she recognized the pokémon, "Sunny!?" What was going on? She had never seen the ground pokémon detach herself from her trainer before, something bad must've happened to Ash!

Back in Cerulean city

A young trainer sat in a dark room with a single lamp on the table. He sighed to himself as looked down at the table, trying to resist the urge to bang his head against it. A woman's voice intruded on his thoughts "So tell me Ash Ketchum if that's your real name, why do you have so many pokémon with you?"

Looking across the room the trainer took a deep breath and tried to explain to the officer yet again. "My friend and I just had a pokémon battle. She has some issues with this city so I volunteered to take her pokémon along with mine to the Pokémon Center."

"Ha so you admit they aren't your pokémon!" the officer said triumphantly pointing a finger in his face.

Thunk! Ash finally gave into temptation and allowed his head to hit the table in annoyance, wondering if all police officers were this arrogant, or if it was just the Jennys.

"I told you already Misty has an issue with this city so I volunteered to heal her pokémon as she and Brock set up our camp" Ash groaned out frustrated.

"Ha, a likely story!" the female officer put her hands on the table and leaned her forward getting right in the young trainer's face. "If that's the case then why did you send your little Sandshrew off to your evil teammates?"

Sliding out of the chair Ash planted his hands on table and leaned forward like the officer refusing to be intimidated, "Because so far all of the Officer Jenny I've come across seem to act before thinking."

"So you've given other officers a problem then!" She accused self-righteously.

"Stop twisting my words!" Ash shouted back in frustration. The two head-butted over the table pushing against each other aggressively like male Tauros.

"Oh? Trying to intimidate and threaten an officer now?" Jenny growled pushing forward.

Ash pushed back against her snarling, "No you're the one threatening me!"

Ruby red lips twisted smirk, "It's cute how you actually think you can intimidate me!"

White gloved hands grabbed his arms and pulled him forward. Next thing he knew his back was slammed against something so hard his vision darkened and he had something on top of him pushing him down. As his vision start to clear up a door slammed open.

"Stop! This is all a miss…" the voice slowed in confusion "Understanding?"

In the doorway stood Misty she had Storm on her shoulder with Sunny hidden behind her leg. As Brock peeked over her shoulder his closed eyes seemed to pop out of his head at the scene before them. Officer Jenny had flipped Ash on his back on top of the table her legs on either side of him straddling his hips, ruby lips mere inches from the young trainer's face as her gloved hands pinned the young man in place.

Misty's face turned red in shock and embarrassment as she took in the scene before her fists balled tightly at her sides in fury.

"You lucky bastard! If I confess will it put me in the same position as he is?" Brock demanded his voice breaking the awkward stalemate.

Misty growled and elbowed him while Cleffa pounded the back of its trainer's head in annoyance. Officer Jenny blushed and looked down at the young trainer she was straddling finally realizing what the situation must look like, while Ash sighed in relief "Finally Officer Jenny can stop playing bad cop and manhandling me!"

A sweat drop appeared on the backs of Brock and Misty's heads as they simultaneously thought that only their naïve Ash would say something like that and be really sincere about it as Officer Jenny leapt off the trainer like he was hot lava.

Ash got off the table dusting himself off in relief, as the officer straightened her skirt. She was still blushing, when her sense returned.

"Wait minute!?" she turned and pointed a finger at the new intruders in the room "What do you two think you're doing barging in here?"

Misty 's teal eyes narrowed in anger as she stalked forward, "Well it looks like I'm saving my underage friend from the advances of an older woman!"

The blue haired woman stepped back in surprise her heels clicking loudly on the tile of the interrogation floor as she backed away from the fury of the redheaded girl.

"Second I'm here to clear said friend's name!" The water trainer stepped forward aggressively getting in the officer's face. "Imagine my surprise when I found he was being accused of stealing my pokémon."

The woman in question refusing to be intimidated took a step forward to meet the redhead, head on with her own accusations, "So you're his evil teammates!"

With a sneer Misty placed her light tan hands on her narrow hips, "No my name is Misty Waterflower!"

Reaching into her pocket she pulled out a device that was shaped like flip phone it was dark blue with the Cascade Badge in the center. Misty flipped it open revealing a picture of Misty herself except she was smiling in the picture. "The youngest daughter of Thomas and Amanda Waterflower and one of registered Gym leaders of the Cerulean City Gym!"

With her ID in hand she scrolled down to show the pokémon on it, "Here is list of the registered gym pokémon that not only are at the gym but the ones I took with me as well as the ones I recently caught."

The violet eyes of the officer widened in surprise as she looked at the ID in front of her, "Now tell me Officer are my friends and I still accused of being an evil team out to steal my own pokémon?!"

For once the young officer look dumbstruck as she was thoroughly put in her place by the young redhead.

Ash grinned from ear to ear while he pet Sunny murmuring praise for the small armadillo. How she got to him so fast he would never know, but he was definitely grateful.

Brock's mouth dropped open in shock at the angry aura around Misty and a shiver went down his spine while his baby pokémon nodded her head in approval. Meanwhile Storm had jumped off Misty's shoulder and made his way toward Ash.

Officer Jenny realized what she had done and quickly bowed to Misty "Please forgive me Ms. Waterflower with the number of recent pokémon stolen from the Cerulean City Gym we're a bit on edge right now."

Teal eyes narrowed in annoyance, "you should be apologizing to Ash…. Wait stolen pokémon from Cerulean Gym?! When?"

Misty demanded her shock making her forget that she was angry with the woman in front of her.

"Yes, this morning a giant hose and vacuum were stolen. The thieves used it to suck up all the water in the Cerulean Gym along with several pokémon," Jenny informed them solemnly.

The young gym leader gasped her hand rising to cover her mouth in horror as Brock put a comforting hand on her shoulder she demanded, "Which pokémon were stolen? Are my sisters ok?"

Jenny pulled out a notepad to check the facts she had about the case from her earlier investigation at the gym, "your sisters are safe, apparently they were shopping at the time of the crime and as for the pokémon stolen….Fifty Magikarp were taken."

"You mean all of our Magikarp are gone?"

"Yes, though it does appear that all the other pokémon were taken to the Pokémon Center earlier because of all the recent battle losses and the performer pokémon were there for their monthly check up, so they at least are safe," Jenny told them trying to be reassuring.

Misty's eye widened as she stumbled forward her legs giving out on her. Brock saw this and caught her as Ash went into action and got a chair for her to sit in. The young girl sat flabbergasted by the information given to her.

She felt strong hands rubbing her shoulders as a familiar gloved hand grabbed hers and gave it a squeeze as the other rested on her knee. Looking around she spotted Brock behind her with his hands on her shoulders as Cleffa was resting in her lap and Storm the electric mouse had joined the young fairy pokémon there. Ash was kneeling down beside her, it was him that was holding her hand, and she felt the little Sandshrew rubbing its head against her leg comfortingly.

Sighing to herself she let them know that she was ok taking a breath brushing them off and getting back up, "Alright where are my sisters now?"

Flipping through her notes the officer checked and replied, "I believe they said that the three of them were heading to a spa appointment"

The redheaded trainer was quiet for a moment then asked, "Can you tell me how the gym has been holding up in the past month?"

"I can't tell you everything but if you like you can use our computer to check the stats of your gym from there," Jenny told her kindly, trying to make amends for her mistake.

-Unknown location in the air-

High in the sky a hot air balloon that was shaped like a Meowth's head drifted along, and three familiar villains were toasting their latest victory.

"Can you believe we did it Jessie?" A blue haired man asked as he leaned back against the basket of the balloon.

"Of course I can James! After all no one beats Team Rocket! We're the best!" The red headed woman replied with a smirk posing with the victory sign her other hand on her hip, "besides we only failed the last two missions because those twerps overpowered us and got lucky!"

James looked up out at the clouds as he sighed, "True, let's just hope we don't run into them again."

Jessie laughed joining him on his side of the basket, "You act like we're going to chase them all over the world or something!"

The three of them laughed at the ridiculous notion not even aware of the irony of their statement yet. Unfortunately a violent shake interrupted their amusement. James who was leaning against the side nearly fell out of the basket and only Jessie reaching out to grab his shirt and pull him toward her saved him from a nasty fall. The basket jerked again and the blue haired male stumbled falling on top of his female companion.

"What the heck is going on?" the male demanded clambering upright, as the female rolled onto her back moaning about being squished, "Do Something Meowth!"

"I'm trying" the cat said pushing a button frantically before leaning over the side and hitting the basket "Hey cut it out down there!"

At the bottom of the basket was a vacuum container, inside this container several fish pokémon known as Magikarp were swimming. However said Magikarp weren't pleased with their new captivity or being taken from their nice aquarium home and were tackling the sides of their container. The area around the pokémon started to glow and their prison started to break…

-Back in Cerulean City-

Three young ladies where enjoying being pampered. Each had a mud mask on with cucumber slices on their eyes, and their hair wrapped in towels also sporting pure white silk robes.

"Like what a stressful day!" one said with a sigh.

"Like totally we sure needed this treatment" another agreed, "Like it's so hard to do our show and run the Gym!"

"Like totally! Especially when your baby sister decides to go out on her own and like totally try to follow her own dream and to totally get away from her older sisters constantly belittling her. But oh my gosh! Since the baby sister isn't here anymore the Cerulean sisters like actually have to work. Like that totally is not happening so let's just give all the Cerulean badges away and not only make sure the family gym is like totally run into the ground totally wrecking our parents hard work but let's like totally not care that a good portion of the gym pokémon were stolen. " Misty icy voice cut in a dark menacing aura around her as she loomed over them threateningly.

The three Cerulean sisters looked up to find the youngest of them glaring down at them.

"Misty you're back!" exclaimed the blonde one, sounding faintly dismayed.

"Like did you finally achieve your dream of becoming a Water Pokémon Master?" asked the one that had pink strands of hair peaking out of the towel wrap around her head.

"Like I totally remember you saying you'd never set foot in this city until you were a water pokémon master," The last of the sisters who had a blue strand of hair sticking out of her towel sticking in the green goop on her face added with a snicker.

Misty stomped her foot angrily and pointed accusingly at them. "Don't you dare start that shit with me! I'm here because you three idiots got our pokémon stolen and you've been running our parents' gym into the ground!"

"Hey don't talk to us like that" The blue haired one known as Violet told the younger sister.

The pink haired one named Lily nodded in agreement "Yeah besides the only ones stolen were those lame Magikarp."

Misty's face turned a furious shade of red, her head appearing to swell as steam poured from her ears in fury, "You good for nothing spoiled brats!"

"Misty!" the oldest known as Daisy scolded only to be cut off in the face of their younger sister's wrath.

"Oh shut up! Here's what's going to happen," Misty held up a finger while glaring her older sisters into submission, "Number one the gym is shutting down until further notice. That means no more battles, no more giving badges out for free and no more of your shows!"

"What!" Violet demanded shocked

"You can't do that!" Lily shouted

"We work hard on those shows!" Daisy protested.

The redheaded girl stomped her foot to emphasize her point, "Our parents worked hard on this gym you nitwits!"

Misty's whole body was shaking in rage as she remembered what all had been going since she left. Pushing down her anger, she took a deep breath to steady herself and continued, "Second, I took the liberty of calling the pokémon league they're sending someone to help straighten out the mess you made here. I requested they send the toughest and most demanding Gym Trainer to whip you three into shape. Until that Gym Trainer says you're ready to run the gym on your own, the gym will remain closed and that includes your shows! After you get approval to run the gym by yourselves a referee from the league is going to stay here and keep an eye on you three. If you slip up again then they have the right to close your show down permanently!"

"Now wait a minute" Daisy spoke trying to get her voice heard as the oldest of the four sisters, "I'm the oldest of the four us. What right do you have to give orders around here?!"

Misty sighed in exasperation and anger, pushing her bangs out of her face, her bright teal eyes boring into the light blue eyes of her sister accusingly, "You might be older than me but you're the most incompetent of all of us. Instead of being the responsible older sister that takes charge and looks after her little sisters you choose to act like a spoiled brat! Instead of helping me with the gym you choose to make fun of me for doing the job our parents left to us! When Violet and Lily picked on me and made me cry instead of comforting me you chose to encourage them! When I ran away from you, you didn't even try to find me!"

"You didn't even step up to take care of the gym like mom and dad wanted you to and you made it a laughing stock. Finally when pokémon were stolen right from under your noses you just brushed it off and told the police and I quote 'well they're just Magikarp so no big deal," Seeing her sister's surprised and embarrassed looks she snorted in derision, Yes, I read the report. You might be older but you aren't even close to the most responsible and you certainly don't deserve to be in charge!"

Misty stepped away from them taking a deep breath after her long tirade and gave them another glare, "I'm sick of you three. The only thing you've ever done is bring shame to the name Waterflower!"

Misty started to head to the door, her hand on the doorknob she took one last look over her shoulder. The Cerulean sisters looked like a couple of kicked puppies. "I came back even though I'm not a water master yet because I realized there's no reason for me to feel ashamed of myself anymore. I'm proud of who I am and you three aren't going to make feel bad about myself ever again this is my home too, and I wasn't about to let you ruin it with your idiocy.

With a final huff the 'runt' of the Cerulean sisters slammed the door behind her leaving her sisters to wallow in self-pity, and to reflect on the poor way they'd behaved in her absence.

-That night-

All three trainers were tuckered out each having had their own adventure. Ash having a hard Gym battle and being accused by the police. He was still trying to figure out why one of his companions wanted to take his place under officer Jenny at the station.

Misty having faced the ghosts of her past, making some hard choices about her future and having to leave her gym pokémon at the Pokémon Center leaving her with only the three she had caught herself.

And Brock who was just trying to survive this crazy day and learning that his baby pokémon's soft little hands were stronger than they looked as it beat him over the head for his idiocy, being a little jealous of his male companion and the time he spent with the beautiful officer Jenny and being the comforting shoulder for his female friend. Over all the three of them had, had a really hard day.

The moon shone high in the sky, as Brock slept with Cleffa snuggled beside him with one arm wrapped around the small pokémon to make sure she was still there. Misty wasn't far from him laying on her side with her hands under her chin as Surskit rested on top of her. Next to her was Ash, the dark haired trainer was laying on his back resting peacefully despite the hard battle that day with his... Wait where were Ash's pokémon?

A little further down from their campsite all six of Ash's pokémon stood together. In the river was the one fish pokémon named Bulma the Magikarp the young trainer's first caught pokémon. On a nearby stump that was half in the river half on land was the a third pokémon that had joined the group a Spearow named Ace. Beside him was a bigger bird a flying type that was called Nika a Pidgeotto. Next to her was a yellow mouse that was Ash's first pokémon a Pikachu that now goes by Storm. Another yellow pokémon was beside him, one that was new to the group, a Sandshrew newly named Sunny who was holding her trainer's shoe like it was a stuffed toy. Finally to complete the circle was a pokémon who was on the other side of Bulma his name was Blade a Scyther the calmest out of all the pokémon in the group.

(It's Poke Talk Time!)

The group of pokémon was quiet all them seemed to be waiting for someone to break the tense silence. Nika took a deep breath, ready to take the plunge, "All right we know why we're all here but let's try to keep…"

"What the hell is your problem?!" Bulma interrupted.

"…it down" The brown bird finished, this was going to be a long night, she thought with a sigh.

"What are you talking about?" Storm asked confused, noticing he was the subject of the fish's anger as the Magikarp started to glow, the water around her turning red and bubbling dangerously in her anger.

"Turn down a Gym battle you did," Blade informed the electric mouse sternly.

"B-But it was against Misty," Storm tried to explain waving his hands in front of him in an attempt to fend off Bulma's anger and the accusing looks from the rest of the pokémon.

"A gym leader is she not?" The bug pokémon continued still stern.

"Yes but she's…"

A giant splash came from the water interrupted the yellow mouse's excuse, "A gym leader," shouted the fish angrily.

"Keep it down Bulma!" Nika hissed at the fish waving her wings in distress, "The rest are sleeping remember?!"

"But she's my friend!" the Pikachu cried out in protest.

Ace snorted at this "So what? She may be our traveling companion and your friend but she's still a trainer and trainers battle each other!"

"Still liking her not you are?" Asked Blade serenely.

The brick colored bird rolled his eyes, "She's not my friend but I can still respect her even though she's still just an annoying little girl."

Sparks came out of the Pikachu's red cheeks threateningly, "Hey don't talk about Misty like that!"

"Shut up the whole reason we're meeting is so we can confront you!" Nika broke in waspishly.

"But, what did I do?" Storm asked confused.

"Are you stupid or do you just like to act like it? We are talking about you turning down a gym match!" Nika spat acerbically starting lose her cool again.

"But I didn't want to fight Misty" the small mouse cried indignantly.

The brick colored bird shrugged his wings, "Why not? Friends battle all the time it's a part of being in the Pokémon world especially if your trainer wants to be a master. It's no big deal."

Ace was of the opinion that Storm had made a mistake. However he understood that it happened they were all beginners on this journey there were bound to be mistakes

"A great honor to battle one's friend it is," the bug pokémon agreed.

"Ash still won, right?" Storm objected weakly.

Things got quiet as they all looked at the yellow mouse incredulously. Nika's voice broke the silence again her tone disparaging, "Storm do you realize that because you turned down a battle with Misty, who is a Gym leader of Water pokémon, that Ace and I got seriously hurt and we nearly lost?! Just be grateful that Bulma trains extra hard and her determination was strong enough to at least land the final hit. It was a good thing that that I was able to take Shellder down with me or we would have lost!"

"All this could have been avoided if you had battled instead!" Nika accused furiously.

Ace squawked in protest, "Hey I fought too! At least I exposed Surskit's weakness!"

"Yes, but Storm is an electric type pokémon and Misty's pokémon are all water type. He would have won easily as she is still young and has yet to work on how defend against her great weakness." Said a dreamy voice (A/N think Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter) the new pokémon named Sunny the golden Sandshrew added speaking up for the first time. For one so young she spoke with great wisdom in her light airy voice.

A yellow head lowered guilty his ears dropping, "B-b-ut I didn't think!"

"Of course you didn't!" Bulma screeched unable to hold her tongue any longer, "Just what the hell is your problem with Ash anyway? You would have thought after the Spearow attack you would finally start listening to him!"

"Spearow attack?" The bigger bird asked, looking over at the smaller bird.

Blushing a little he rubbed the back of his head with his brick colored wing, "yeah my old gang and I sort of attacked Ash. Storm electrified us and they flew away. I couldn't because I got it worse since Ash had tackled me into the water to save Bulma. So I couldn't fly away, but Ash took me in and healed me with a berry."

The Pidgeotto nodded her head and asked, "territory or jealousy?"

"A little of both" he responded kicking the dirt sheepishly. Blade and Nika nodded their heads knowing that was how the pokémon world worked.

Ace turned to Storm, "Everyone makes mistakes, even leaders are entitled to screw up once in a while."

The electric mouse smiled hesitantly at Ace's words.

"He's no leader of mine!"

His gaze returned to the female across the river. The orange fish was thrashing agitatedly in the water the once bubble big eyes were narrowed in anger. "You think just because you were his first pokémon that means you're automatically our leader?"

Storm growled at her, his cheeks beginning to spark, "Listen here! So I made some mistakes! So what? It happens! I'm Ash's first pokémon and the strongest of the group and I stay out of my pokéball longer and have spent more time with our trainer then any of you. I keep things in order and you have no right to judge my leadership skills."

"First the mistakes you make is actually just the same mistake over and over. Not listening to Ash, sooner or later he's going to stop trusting you and you're going to deserve it! Second the only reason you're strongest is because you have a type advantage over almost all of us! Finally you only stay out of the ball because you don't like pokéballs and are afraid to be inside! So being the kind trainer he is Ash lets you stay out!" the fish shouted, refuting all of Storm's arguments angrily.

The mantis jumped in the middle of the two holding his sharp blades out between them to keep Bulma from tackling Storm or Storm from electrifying Bulma, "Fighting among ourselves as comrades we must not. Aware among us this issue has been yes. Rest now, overnight the problem cannot be solved."

A sleepy yawn was heard and they turned to the youngest member of the group, who with her tiny hands was rubbing her eyes sleepily.

"Night, night" Sunny whispered as she made her way back over to their young trainer.

The rest of the pokémon also made their way to him to get some sleep. Storm and Bulma gave each other one last glare before turning away. Bulma sinking into the water to cool down.

Unknown to them in an unseen cave near the river a pokémon had watched and heard the whole thing. Its eyes narrowed in confusion. "Is that all pokémon life is about to getting stronger and fighting?"
