Hi there everyone well it's been along time since I wrote this story and to be honest I completely forgot all about it. But while I was going through some of my old note books which I use for writing I came across this story and discovered that I had in fact written chapter 2 for it. So here it is at long last the long awaited next chapter for this NO.6 story.
THE QUESTION
CHAPTER TWO.
Nezumi stood by the single cooking stove, as he stirred the contents in the cooking pot. The delectable aroma of the stew filled the air as it drifted towards the sleeping form of Shion. The aroma filled the nostrils of said sleeping beauty which caused him to stir and awake from his sleep.
Shion slowly came round, as he yawned and stretched.
"Yahhhh...hmmmmmmm something smells good"! He said as rubbed sleep from his eyes.
"I should hope so after all yours truly cooked it"! Nezumi said while holding a spoon in his left hand as he smiled smiled
For a moment Shion looked stunned like a deer caught in headlights, it took a while before he responded.
"AHHHHHH NEZUMI... IT'S YOU! WHEN DID YOU GET BACK AND WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME"? Shion said looking embarrassed that Nezumi had caught him napping
"Of course it's me who else would it be? And for the record I've been back for a while and as to why I didn't wake you well you looked so peaceful I thought I'd let you sleep."
"But you should have woken me up after all it was my turn to cook today"!
"No thank you not after the last time, you are here by banned from cooking"! Nezumi shuddered as he recalled the slop when attempted to cook last time"!
"But you said it was good, you even ate it all" Shion said looking forlorn
"I was being polite and we can't afford to waste food"!
Shion sat on the old sofa looking wearing the look as though someone had just died. On seeing this Nezumi sighed as he said
"Fine how about next time I teach you how to cook would that make you happy your highness"? Shion looked up and smiled which caused Nezumi to blush, which he quickly hide by looking the other way.
"Well any way the stew is almost done so if you wouldn't mind do you think your majesty could go and make us some coffee"?
"Sure no problem" Shion said with a smile.
But before he got up Shion remembered something as he lifted his right hand and trailed his fingers along his left cheek where his scar is, as he recalled a warm hand and gentle finger caressing his cheek. He then slowly brought his hand down to his lips as he trailed fingers along them . He recalled a soft touch like that of a butterfly's wing as it brushes against your skin to his lips which could only be a kiss. Shion looked over to where Nezumi was standing and wondered if what happened had actually happened or if it was nothing more than a simple dream.
No there's no way Nezumi would do something like that! No it's got to be a dream Shion thought to himself. But he was soon brought back to reality
"Hey Shion...earth to Shion are you gonna sit there all night or are you going to make this coffee anytime soon"? Nezumi shouted, honestly he knew that Shion was a genius but then there where other times when he was an air head too.
"Oh right sorry Nezumi, I was just thinking about something that's all" Shion said this as he got up to go make the coffee. On doing so he couldn't help but stare at Nezumi and wondered if it really had been a dream or not.
The old grandfather clock which stood in a corner of the room chimed out the hour as the two sat on the old sofa eating their meal. For some reason Shion felt nervous sitting so close to Nezumi. He couldn't get that dream out of his head plus that all important question was still weighing heavily upon his mind.
HAD NEZUMI REALLY SEEN HIM NAKED AND IF SO WHEN? AND HOW DOES HE FEEL ABOUT ME NOW?: These questions rumbled around Shion's mind as he sat eating his meal.
Nezumi had noticed that Shion wasn't acting in his usual manner, usually he would be asking questions like:
How was your day?
Did rehearsal go well?
What's in the stew?
Can I cook next time?
How's Rikiga and Dog Keeper doing?
Simple questions which Nezumi next got tired of. Fore once in his life Nezumi found it comforting to know that someone special was waiting for him when he came home.
But for some strange reason Shion had been acting strangely towards him today, Nezumi noticed that Shion had been watching him for awhile now. When it looked like he was going to ask a question he would simply pause and turn away. So Nezumi decided to ask a question himself to find out just what was going on it that head of his.
"Hey Shion are you okay"? Nezumi said as he placed his now empty bowl onto the coffee table
"Urm...uoh...I'm fine really nothing to worry about at all"! Shion said with a nervous smile
Nezumi brought his face closer to Shion's, so close that they almost touched. Shion could feel his heart beat increase, and his cheeks felt hot. Just what was Nezumi thinking of doing something like this? Shion thought to himself.
Nezumi gazed into those crimson eyes and asked once again
"Tell me the truth are you ok"? This there was a serious tone in his voice one which echoed with concern
Shion had to look away to hide his blushing face as he replied
"I'm fine really, there's no need to worry about me? I've just had some things on my mind that's all. "
Nezumi sighed as he replied
"Fine I get it, you don't want to talk about it yet, but just remember you can tell me anything you know that right"!
"Yeah I know that and thanks for caring" Shion said as he got up and headed for the door
"Hey where are you going now"? Nezumi asking wondering if he some how upset Shion
"I'm going to go take a bath, I got cover in dust and cobwebs earlier when I was sorting out the old books and bookshelves"!
As soon as Shion left the room he slumped with his back against the door, his face looked like a ripe tomatoe and his heart was beating so fast he thought it was going to pop out of his chest at any given moment.
STUPID NEZUMI: Shion thought to himself as he made his way to the room that both used as a was room.
Meanwhile Nezumi was left alone to muddle over what had just transpired.
