CUSTOMARY DISCLAIMER: I do not, nor have in any way, ever owned anything to do with the original anime or story which my fan fictions are based off of. These stories are written for the sole purpose of entertainment, and not meant to achieve any profit through selling it. Honestly.
I assure you that I do not promote violence against Flamers (I do, however, find it hilarious).
Last Time
Suzaku's eyes were wide as the Lancelot's left arm was destroyed. He moved back quickly but the Guren's sword made a long gash along the Lancelot's chest leaving behind a trail of electricity. Suzaku let out a gasp of pain as some of the electricity reached the cockpit and shocked him while the rest of the electricity short circuited the several of the Lancelot's sensors. He saw the Guren's claw coming towards his cockpit block through the damaged sensors so he quickly jumped back to create some distance between them. However, due to the damage to Lancelot's sensors, he had not seen that behind him was the edge of a cliff so when he jumped back he fell off. He fired his slash harkens at the cliff in order to prevent him from falling.
"Oh no you don't!" Kallen yelled through the speaker as she fired her slash harkens to intercept Suzaku's. The slash harkens clashed and flew off target, leaving the Lancelot to fall to a lower ledge. "Now, stay down!" Kallen yelled as she used the radiant wave Surger on the ground by the ledge causing it to collapse. The earth fell toward the stationary Lancelot and swept the Lancelot down the ledge to the bottom of the ridge and stuck under several large rocks.
"All units," Zero ordered. "Our mission is accomplished. I'm ordering a withdrawal. We have accomplished our objectives. Retreat."
They escaped with the fleeing members of the Japanese Liberation Front. The regrouped with the rest of the Black Knights, and Zero reviewed the casualties. Surprisingly, there were very few casualties. They had lost a lot of Burai and a few Bikoheika, and a few were damaged, but most of the Black Knights survived.
Lelouch started laughing in a cold cynical manner. "It's time we leave. We'll be entertaining royalty tonight, and we must prepare a prison cell fit for a princess."
Now
Black Knights Warehouse
Zero and Miracle Man and Tempest and Lotus and The Teacher
As the Black Knights drove their supplies through the underground rail system and into their storage warehouses, their leaders were meeting with the Tohdoh and the four holy swords.
All of the original members of the Ohgi's resistance were seated on one side of a long table with Tohdoh and the four holy swords seated on the other side of the table.
Zero and Rai entered the room and began the meeting.
"First of all," he said. "What is the status of our prisoner?"
"She is currently being placed under twenty four hour surveillance," Ohgi reported. "Her food is being drugged, leaving her generally lethargic."
Zero then sat down at the head of the table with Rai standing of to the side.
"Good. First I would like to thank you for joining us today, Tohdoh. I would like to apologize about blindfolding you and your men but this location is a secret from all non-black knight members. Although I am curious why you did not retreat with the Japanese Liberation Front and came with us." Zero said diplomatically after both sides stared at each other in silence for a brief while.
"That is fine Zero. I followed you because I wanted to ask you a few questions and because that knightmare of yours saved our lives." Tohdoh said as he looked over all the people at the table.
"Alright ask away." Zero said calmly as his mask stared Tohdoh down.
"That knightmare had technology that far surpasses all the weapon technology japan had before the war and everything Kyoto has access to, so where did you happen upon that technology?" Tohdoh asked.
"Mind if I take this one Zero?" Rai said from his place on the wall.
"I see no problem with that" Zero responded "but first. Tamaki, why don't you set up a party for the rest of the Black Knights? They have definitely earned it."
"Alright Zero. As the Head of Base Maintenance, I won't let you down!" Tamaki assured excitedly before leaving the room.
Rai waited until Tamaki had left before walking over and taking Tamaki's seat, which happened to be located right next to Zero's seat and Kallen's seat. "To answer your question Tohdoh, the…" Rai started to say before being interrupted by the only female holy sword.
"What was that about?" Chiba asked.
"Ah, that was Zero asking Tamaki to throw a party for those that survived the battle." Rai said in a tone like what he said was obvious.
Asahina and Senba grabbed Chiba's shoulders to prevent her from attacking a confused Rai.
"Rai if you would continue." Tohdoh said calmly.
"Right where was I? Ah yes, to answer your question Tohdoh I designed those weapons with the help of my assistant and stolen Britannian technology. The technology just started to work properly. Most of it is still experimental and very expensive to manufacture." Rai explained.
"You expect us to believe that you alone were able to build all of the knightmares that the black knights are using?" Asahina asked in a disbelieving voice.
"Whether you believe Rai or not is not relevant because Rai has built the knightmares for the black knights. Now I think you should ask the real question that you came here to ask, Tohdoh." Zero said authoritatively.
"Very well. Zero while I am grateful for your assistance in the battle, I find it difficult to trust you. You keep your identity hidden despite only being among allies." Tohdoh said accusingly.
Before any of the black knights could stand to defend their leader, Zero raised his hand for silence.
"You ask about my identity Tohdoh but what truly makes a person's identity? Is it a race, gender or a personality and ideals? I believe that a person's identity comes from ones personality and ideals and other things merely cause people to form prejudice and misconceptions. By not seeing my face people will be forced to make their own opinions of me instead of relying on the prejudice that the Britannian system imposes on us. In addition to the immediate reasons, when we have people from all different races in the black knights. As long as my race is unknown then there will be less tension between the different races of the black knights." Zero said calmly. This statement shocked most of the individuals at the table, save for Rai, since Zero had never actually explained why his mask was so important only mentioning the fact that the mask was vital.
"However," Zero continued calmly, "your suspicions are correct. I am not Japanese."
This got an instant reaction from most of the people in the room. While most seemed to be shocked by the declaration, Tohdoh's eyes hardened and the holy sword members all reached for their swords. However before anyone could resort to violence, Zero spoke again.
"Your holy swords' actions prove my point. They would risk the freedom of Japan over the fact that I might not be Japanese. People naturally fear those that are different from them. So since no one knows what race I am, they can picture me as any race they choose." Zero said diplomatically.
"Very well Zero, you have proven your point," Tohdoh said as he gestured for the holy swords to lower their hands from their weapons "but understand that it will be difficult for us to trust you."
"Of course. However once my actions prove me trust worthy, then I will have your trust completely." Zero stated. "Does anyone else have any questions?"
"I do." Rai said raising his hand while grinning.
"Not including you Rai." Zero said despondently.
No one else raised another question.
"Everyone why don't you all join Tamaki at the party." Zero said.
"Tohdoh, why don't you let the holy swords relax at the party. I will try to get in touch with the Japanese Liberation Front. If you have any further questions let Ohgi know. Rai and I need to get to a previous engagement regarding getting more knightmare supplies."
Zero got up followed by Rai. Both of them walked out of the meeting room toward Zero's office in the factory.
"Why don't you go to the party." Tohdoh said as he turned to the holy swords.
"What about you sir?" Urabe asked.
"I will be talking to Ohgi." Tohdoh said before walking toward Ohgi.
Rai's Lab
Zero and Gear and Tempest
While everyone else head to the party, Rai and Lelouch were traveling toward the individual hanger where the large Knightmare was still docking.
By the time both Rai and Zero walked into the hanger the knightmare had successfully docked.
"So why did you say we had a meeting." Rai asked.
"So I would not be interrupted when I chew both of you out for not including an ejection seat for the Icarus, and pretending it had one." Lelouch said as he removed his helmet.
"How did you know that?!" Rai said panicking.
"You just told me." Lelouch said smiling darkly.
"Don't blame Rai for that." Nunnally said as the Icarus' back opened up and the neural chair in the center spun around to show Nunnally in a pink pilot uniform while wearing her cybernetic glasses. She pressed a few buttons on the chairs arm and a hissing noise was heard as the neural chair separated from her cybernetic spine. Nunnally got up slowly and walked shakily forward a few steps before stumbling into Lelouch's arms.
"That was impressive." Lelouch said surprised as he helped Nunnally into her wheelchair that Rai had gotten from the wall.
"Thanks I have been practicing." Nunnally said shyly.
"How though? I thought the damage to your legs was irreparable." Lelouch asked.
"We used the data and equipment from Code R to build Nunnally a cybernetic spine." Rai blurted out.
"You did what?!" Lelouch growled.
"It is not like we could make my spine any worse." Nunnally said while pouting.
"Fine but why didn't you tell me?" Lelouch asked after a minute long stare down with Nunnally.
"Same reason with the ejector seat. You wouldn't let us do it." Rai said calmly.
"Don't argue brother, you know it is true." Nunnally said.
"Fine, but you won't be deployed again until you install an ejection block." Lelouch said before placing his mask back on and leaving the room.
"Whew. We dodge a bullet on that one." Rai said.
"Tell me something I don't know." Nunnally said.
"Without mucus, your stomach would digest itself." Rai said informatively before getting hit on the head with a clip board.
"That is not what I meant, Idiot." Nunnally said before rolling herself to the elevator in the room down to the tunnels.
"What did you mean then?" Rai asked after he recovered from the hit on the head and ran after Nunnally
Two Days Later
Viceroy's Palace
The Princess
Euphemia drummed her hand on the table of the meeting room nervously. She watched as Darlton and Guilford and Cornelia's strategy staff filled in and took their seats at the curved table with the occupational government taking their place at the other side. She thought back to the conversation she had with her father on what to do regarding Area eleven. He had commanded her to prove her worth to the empire by pacifying Area Eleven.
"How does he expect me to pacify the area? Unless Zero decides to give up, wins or is killed, I do not believe that Area Eleven will have peace. Especially if he is who I think he is." Euphemia thought to herself. "If Lelouch is truly Zero then only Schneizel or our father will stand a chance against him." Euphemia was drawn out of her thoughts by one of Clovis' advisors.
"Princess Euphemia, what is the word from the homeland?" The advisor asked nervously.
"The Emperor has deemed Zero a minor threat and decided that all generals are to remain where they are." Euphemia said calmly. "The Emperor has decided that I will be the new Viceroy of area eleven."
This statement was a shock to everyone in the room since Zero had defeated Cornelia, a far superior general, they had thought that Prince Schneizel would be sent to clean up this debacle.
"On to the matter at hand," Darlton said calmly trying to get off of the subject.
"The Japanese Liberation Front are no longer a major threat, however the Black Knights are now the largest threat." Guilford continued for Darlton as an aid pressed a few keys on the computer terminal causing a holographic image to form in the center of the u shaped table.
"This is the footage from the special cores fight at the Narita Mountains." Darlton said as a hologram of the Guren appeared.
"This machine was able to hold of the most advanced Knightmare Britannia has at its disposal. Although that is not even the worst of it." Darlton continued as the aid pressed another button causing another hologram to appear, this time it was the Knightmare that had destroyed Guilford's unit. "This unit is extremely dangerous. It has some form of beam weapon on its shoulder and is capable of moving at extreme speeds. These Knightmares are piloted by aces, capable of moving these Knightmares as if they were human bodies."
"We were only able to salvage some of the data from the fight so the only thing we know about this Knightmare is it moves using the same technology as the sand panels or the Barmides from Area 18," Guilford said "Meaning this is not just some small time resistance. Zero is likely working for the European Universe or the Chinese Federation."
"They might also be getting resources from the N.A.C.," Darlton stated, earning a few confused looks from the individuals on the occupational governments side.
"When we stormed Narita, we looked for evidence of N.A.C. conspiracy but anything that was there was buried in the landslide."
"But those are just rumors. There is no evidence of anything like that." The vice-minister stated nervously.
"All we have is rumors! We have to investigate every avenue." Darlton growled angrily. "If Zero keeps this up the Chinese Federation might become involved."
"Alright that is enough of that. Fighting among ourselves will do use no good." Euphemia stated in a stern voice. "Why don't we move on to a new issue. Darlton I give you full authority to use any resource to track down the black knights."
Kyoto
Goddess of Victory
"So the Black Knights have captured the Viceroy…" a figure noted, several key members of the group sitting seiza-style around a fireplace as they discussed the latest chain of events "It would seem lady Kaguya's faith in Zero was not misplaced."
"But with the Japan Liberation Front smashed, the last embers of Japan are dying away." Another voice sighed, his tone laced with angry resignation, even as his fists tightened in his lap in his ire.
"No!" a third voice countered, even as a water chime sounded in the garden outside, the speaker thumping his knee with conviction as he spoke "Todoh is still strong, he even has most of the custom Burais."
"Even if that's so," a fourth voice sighed in resignation, this one sitting with his arms crossed before him, his head lowered against his chin in thought "I heard he's currently with the Black Knights, who knows if they can be trusted."
"You still don't believe in Zero? After what he has accomplished." A fifth voice asked, this one decidedly younger than those of the others, who turned to face the speaker, a young girl with bright emerald eyes, as she sat behind a screen, smiling out at them.
"We are not saying he is not competent," the fourth voice muttered, sounding distrusting and skeptical as he stared at the speaker "however whether we can trust him remains to be seen."
"Does this Zero character truly merit such interest from you, Kaguya-dono?" one of the other speakers asked, his tone decidedly more respectful "I mean, we don't even know if he's Japanese."
"A matter I intend to rectify soon enough." A sixth, aged voice pointed out, the group turning as one to eye the eldest member of the meeting, who held his cane tightly as he climbed to his feet "I shall measure this Zero's worth."
Kaguya sighed, shaking her head as the old men rambled on about this and that. Why couldn't they just accept that her women's intuition had been right? Zero represented the future of Japan, and she would be there at his side.
C's World
Emperor and Immortal and Spirit
Charles Zi Britannia stood on the Sword of Akasha as he looked out into the vast expanses of C's world and let out a sigh. Footsteps echoed behind him as a child with long blond hair walked towards where the Emperor was standing before coming to a stop about five feet to his left. They both stood in silence for several minutes before Charles spoke.
"What is it brother?" Charles asked.
"Why are you leaving Area eleven to Euphemia? We both know Lelouch will destroy her." V.V. stated.
"True, however we are already done with the thought elevator in Area eleven. So once Lelouch takes it and entrenches himself, I will send Schneizel to take it back. That will both keep Schneizel occupied and create enough turmoil to increase our progress on the thought elevator." Charles stated calmly.
"That will only work if C.C. does not betray the cause or Lelouch does not fully evolve his Geass in the time it takes to finish the Ragnarok connection." V.V. stated skeptically.
"The alternative is letting Schneizel having enough free time to properly investigate Geass. It took me well over a decade to master my Geass and it took you three years before you were able to take your code. Once Ragnarok is complete then I can take C.C.'s code if she won't work for us." Charles said.
"Very well Charles. We will do things your way." V.V. said as Charles turned around and walked away. He walked to the entrance of the world of C before placing his hand on it and disappeared.
After he appeared in the thought elevator in Britannia he began to walk forward while speaking.
"Is C.C. still in on the plan?" Charles asked aloud as Anya walked out from behind a pillar.
"Yes dear. As long as Lelouch doesn't fully develop his Geass then she will be fine with giving up her code." Marianne said as Anya's eyes glowed.
"Good. Make sure she will still consent to the plan on occasion and keep tabs on Lelouch" Charles said as he continued to walk forward as several members of his royal guard flanked him.
Black Knights' Factory
Zero and Lotus and The Teacher and The Idiot
Lelouch, once again having donned his Zero suit, was sitting at the meeting table in the Black Knights factories.
"Kyoto praised us for using the Guren Mk II so well." Ohgi reported, "I thought that was pretty encouraging."
"We even managed to take out that white armored Knightmare that Britannia was testing." Kallen agreed, a small smile on the Guren Pilot's face as she read over a manual that had come with her new Knightmare.
"I'll say!" Tamaki snorted, the loud, redheaded revolutionary grinning smugly as he leaned on the table "Man, I'll bet those Britannian bastards were shaking in their boots when they lost their precious toy."
"We didn't destroy it," Kallen pointed out, a frown of concern crossing her features though internally she was rather pleased with her achievement all the same "we just disabled it for a while...it'll be back."
"Here," Ohgi spoke up, the former school teacher catching Zero's attention, cutting off Tamaki's loud reassurances at the redhead, which were earning annoyed responses for his efforts "A love Letter."
"Why Ohgi," Zero chuckled, the masked Vigilante's tone laced with wry amusement as he tilted his helmet to look up at the confused rebel, almost as if he were quirking an eyebrow "I had no idea you cared."
"T-that's not it!" Ohgi insisted, the mortified rebel fighting down an angry blush even as Tamaki fell on the floor, holding his sides from laughing so hard, "It's an official letter from Kyoto," he insisted, coughing to recover his composure "they urgently request a meeting."
"Well now." Zero noted, flipping the letter over as Kallen kicked Tamaki's chest to calm the older rebel down "It seems all our hard work finally paid off…" he paused, holding the envelope up to his mask and sniffing "Ohgi? Why does this smell of perfume?"
Ohgi blinked, lifting his hand to his nose and sniffing it, eyes widening as he caught the rest of the Knights looking at him oddly "I didn't do it!"
The meeting adjourned rather quickly that evening.
Shinjuku slums
A mist filled the Shinjuku slums, the designated rendezvous point for the transport to Kyoto, casting a shadow over the ruined buildings, giving them an eerie, desolate feel.
Zero stood alone amidst the fog like a specter, his cloak waving in the breeze like the wings of a giant bat as he watched the headlights of the oncoming car draw closer. He had already ordered the Black Knights to secure the area.
"Please bring your command staff along as per my master's instruction." the driver said.
"They are patrolling the area to prevent any unwanted guests." Zero said.
"I will call them soon, however there is something you can do for me." Lelouch said as used his Geass on the driver.
"Are you certain this will work?" C.C asked, the immortal witch walking out in a replica Zero Suit of her own, helmet held under her arm "I mean, why go to all the trouble?"
"Don't complain, you said you wanted to be more involved" Lelouch scoffed, as the elder Lamperouge pulled a black cloak over himself and sat in the seat next to the driver "besides this is the only way I'll get past Kirihara's guards."
"If you insist." C.C sighed, though there was a slight smile on her face as she tucked her long green locks into the Zero helmet "You know this outfits me rather well." C.C. said surprised, her voice modulated to sound like Zero's.
"Rai made that one specifically for you." Lelouch said calmly as C.C. climbed in, before calling up Kallen and Ohgi on the radio "It's time, fall in."
Lancelot's Trailer
The Tinkerer
"Lloyd?" Cecile called out, the bluenette technician peeking into her boss' private office, where he'd been hiding himself for the past few days "Are you in here?"
"Ah, Cecile." The Earl of Pudding greeted, his fingers blurring away as he stared at the computer screen, several empty packets of pudding littering the floor around his desk, his wastepaper basket overflowing "Did you need something?"
"I merely brought you some coffee." The technician reported cheerfully, carrying in a tray with the aforementioned caffeine drink and a stack of papers "Also, the repair report for the Lancelot. Suzaku is also still recovering from his concussion from the fall."
Lloyd twitched but said nothing, a clear sign that he was slowly getting over having his masterpiece losing an arm to the red Knightmare.
"I was actually going over the specs myself." Lloyd admitted, accepting the coffee and nodding at the screen "Take a look at this, it's the damage report from the units ambushed by the Black Knights." He smirked as Cecile read the data "It would appear my guess was right."
"A Radiant Surge." The bluenette technician noted grimly, her keen eyes and technical knowledge matching the damages to the Sutherlands to those that had been suffered be the Lancelot "Which means,"
"Rakshata." Lloyd agreed, the Earl of Pudding recalling the buxom, blonde Indian woman, one of his long time scientific competitors since college "My, I never would have expected her to side with our enemies."
Mount Fuji
Zero and Lotus and White Witch and The Teacher and The Idiot
My master will see you now" the Geass'd driver said as he let the Black Knights out of the car, while Lelouch snuck out of the passenger side of the car while everyone's attention was on 'Zero'.
"No freaking way…" Tamaki stammered, the spiky haired rebel gaping in shock at the sight before him, unable to believe his eyes, an opinion shared by all of the Black Knights present.
"This is the Fuji mines." Ohgi said shocked. "The Kyoto group's power is impressive."
"It really is." Kallen said surprised.
"It is repulsive," Lord Kirihara said from behind his veil. "Mount Fuji, once known for its clear water and quiet beauty. Now it is bent to the will of the empire, just like Japan. I apologize for not showing my face but Zero your face is hidden as well. Unfortunately, I cannot allow this. To trust you I must know who you are. Therefore you will show me your face."
A team of four Knightmares surrounded the Black Knights and leveled their weapons at Zero.
"Now which of you is Ohgi?" Lord Kirihara asked.
"That's me," Ohgi said.
"You will remove Zero's mask," Kirihara said.
"Sorry Zero." Ohgi said as he walked up to Zero and pulled of his mask.
"Zero's…a woman?!" Tamaki gaped, the stunned redhead staring at the green haired woman in surprise as her features were revealed to all, flushing slightly as she smiled at him.
"What's the matter, Tamaki?" C.C. asked, eyeing the stammering man coyly, one hand resting on her hip, which was sticking out to the side tauntingly "Is it so surprising that your leader be a woman?"
"C.C. what the hell are you doing?!" Kallen yelled.
"Standing here with you." C.C. said calmly.
"I meant, why are you here?" Kallen growled.
"Enough!" the old man behind the curtain demanded, his cane cracking down on the floor drawing everyone's attention back to him, anger and irritation evident in his tone "You there girl, are you really Zero?"
"No I am not." C.C admitted as she smiled at the man behind the screen "Nor am I Japanese, Clan Chief of Kyoto Taizo Kirihara."
The guards instantly went on alert, protocol demanding that anyone that identified their leader be executed, regardless of their identity. There were members of the resistance that didn't even know who they fought for, there was no way the Black Knights, whose leader hadn't even designed to show up, were getting out of here alive.
Then one of the Burai's assigned to guard the elder launched it's harkens, the harkens disarming the two across from it, even as it used it's stun tonfa to knock down the fourth, before drawing it's firearm and leveling it right at Kirihara's face.
"Such soft, outdated methods are beneath you, Lord Kirihara." A cultured, modulated voice declared over the speakers, the Black Knight's eyes widening as Zero clambered out of the Knightmare's hatch "You'll never defeat Britannia at this rate."
The rebel disembarked from the Knightmare, walking towards the stand, remote control in hand to dissuade Kirihara's guards from trying anything.
"Kirihara Taizo founder of Kirihara industries, which holds a monopoly on Sakuradite mining." He recited "Originally a key backer of the Kururugi regime, however, when Japan fell you dodged the tribunals by collaborating with the colonial rulers earning you the title of 'Kirihara the Traitor. In truth, you are the leader of one of the six houses of Kyoto, who support resistance groups throughout Japan. A double agent, how cliché."
"Show some respect you swine!" one of the guards demanded, levelling a gun at the vigilante for his daring, only to halt as Kirihara barked at him to remain silent, the old man's eyes narrowed at the masked interloper.
"Despite your cliché methods, your suspicions are indeed correct." Zero continued, locking gazes with the old man "I am not Japanese."
Kirihara held his calm, even as his suspicions were confirmed. The Black Knights remained calm with the exception of Tamaki. "If this is true and you aren't Japanese," the old man asked cautiously "Then why do you fight for Japan? What is it you want?"
"My goal is to destroy Britannia." Zero revealed, earning looks of skepticism from the Kyoto guards, "I've made that quite clear since my first appearance."
"And do you believe this is possible?" Kirihara demanded, the aged, balding friend of the late Prime Minister eyeing the masked man before him carefully, as if to measure his response before passing judgment "That you can do what countless others have failed?"
"I can because I must. I have reasons which compel me inexorably. You of all people should know that," Zero replied, surprising everyone as he reached up and removed his helmet, revealing his face where only Kirihara could see it "It has been far too long, Lord Kirihara."
The second Taizo Kirihara saw the face hidden beneath the mask of Zero, the elder of Kyoto felt an inexplicable sense of wonderment wash over him, the same kind of feeling that a man would feel upon gaining enlightenment, or upon laying eyes on a son that had been lost.
"Is it really you?" he asked, voice filled with awe, as if trying to discern whether the young man before him were a hallucination. Zero's, or rather Lelouch's response, was to kneel down, helmet held under his arm, his head bowed in an act of respect.
"It's been eight long years, Lord Kirihara." the exiled prince offered "I cannot thank you enough for the care you gave my sister and me, despite knowing of our heritage."
"If I had not come were you planning to take a messenger hostage?" Kirihara asked.
"Not at all. I am simply here to ask for your assistance." Lelouch said calmly. "Besides from the message Kaguya sent, I realized that you would be the only one who could come and have an unbiased opinion."
"How did you know Kaguya was the one to send the letter?" Kirihara asked.
"She put her favorite perfume on it. The one Suzaku gave her for her birthday that smelled like Sakura blossoms." Lelouch said calmly.
"She does have a crush on Zero." Lord Kirihara said smiling wryly.
"Not again." Lelouch said as he groaned slightly. "Also Tohdoh is at my base so if you have any way of contacting the Japanese Liberation Front let me know."
"I will. So" the old man chuckled, lips quirking in a wry smirk "The flower planted eight years ago has finally bloomed," he noted, before breaking into full on laughter, earning more than a few shocked stares from the onlookers.
"Ohgi!" Kirihara called out, startling the stunned former rebel out of his daze "This man is a true mortal enemy of Britannia!" he nodded at the rebel "His face must remain hidden for vital reasons, but I urge you to follow Zero." He gazed into the man's eyes "Do so, and we shall assist you generously, with intelligence and strategic support."
"Once again, I am in your debt, Lord Kirihara." Lelouch said as he stood from his kneeling position.
"Are you embarking on the path of blood?" Lord Kirihara asked Lelouch as he placed his Zero mask back on his face.
"I have long since taken the first steps on that path and I intent to see it through to the end." Lelouch said ominously.
Ashford Academy, Student Council Room.
Zero and Lotus and Lovestruck and Innocents
Milly Ashford looked up from her computer, where she was updating the Student Council's blog, to find Shirley sitting in front of her, the orangette humming to herself with a sad lost expression on her face.
Naturally, Milly couldn't resist the chance to tease her adorable underclassman, and so closed down her window and smiled at the girl. "Okay, what's got you so worried?" she asked, smiling playfully at the younger girl from across the table "Constipated? Your monthlies?" her eyes danced "Or have your monthlies stopped?"
"Madam President!" Shirley exclaimed, the orange haired Fenette turning red in the face at the older girl's highly insensitive insinuation "I am not that type of woman, and that's hardly the reason-!"
"I know!" Milly noted, smiling knowingly at the embarrassed girl "You're still upset that Lelouch and Kallen are dating?"
Shirley flinched, looking down at her hands. "It is just that, that…" Shirley said.
"You still haven't gotten over the fact that Kallen and Lelouch are dating." Milly said before sighing and leaning back in her desk chair dramatically "Meanwhile the rest of the world is coming to grips with what happened at Narita. Besides it is not like we can do anything about their relationship."
"It's just that it was so sudden." Shirley pointed out, a mild frown on her face at the President's laid back attitude "They both barely interacted before and after about two months their dating."
Milly frowned before speaking again. "Shirley, I think that you spent so much time as Lelouch's friend that he has trouble seeing you as a woman and just sees you as a friend." Milly said in a serious voice.
"What do you mean?" Shirley said in a shy voice.
"It is a term that boys use a lot. It is when someone loves a girl but tries to be their friend first. The girl then can only see that person as a friend and not as a potential boyfriend." Milly said in her teacher voice while waving her hand in a circle.
"Like what Milly did to Rivalz." Lelouch said as Kallen and Rivalz walked into the room.
"Lelouch, how could you say that?" Rivalz demanded as he ran up to him and grabbed the front of his shirt.
"Ah your all here. Good then we can start the meeting." Milly said as she ignored Rivalz shaking Lelouch.
"We need to throw a party." Milly said loudly after no one was paying any attention.
"Great idea Madam President." Rivalz said enthusiastically as he let go of Lelouch's shirt.
"What for? Nothing good has happened." Lelouch said.
"That is exactly why we need to have a party," Milly said. "We can't let our spirits drop. Now everyone, we need to create a budget for the upcoming party. Let's get to work people."
Needless to say the student council was busy for the next two hours.
Settlement
Lotus and Esper
Kallen was just walking along in the settlement. After the stressful events at the student counsel, she just needed to relax.
"Might as well practice using my Geass," Kallen thought after she got a corn dog from an honorary Britannian food vender. Kallen activated her Geass and looked around the settlement. She practiced focusing on a particular aura to enhance it, however several minutes later she noticed a large scarlet aura that seemed to extend several hundred meters up in a hemisphere shape and was fluctuating in size.
Kallen began to move toward the aura while still watching her surroundings.
"What is this?" Kallen asked aloud as she reach the edge of the red aura.
The aura suddenly began to shrink so Kallen moved to follow it. As she entered a park in the settlement near the ghetto however, the aura suddenly expanded engulfing her completely.
Kallen braced herself for some form of assault. "That was odd, it didn't do anything." Kallen said aloud as she explored the park through her red tinted vision.
"Whatever is causing this has to be around here somewhere." Kallen said aloud. "Maybe I should call C.C. and see what she thinks about this."
Kallen got out her phone and called Lelouch's room number since that is where C.C. spent most of her time. After the message machine played she started speaking.
"C.C. if you get this message, then I was wondering what could create a large scarlet aura that seems to fluctuating…" Kallen stated to say before her reflexes kicked in and deflected a punch from behind and then caught the other hand in her palm. This proved to be a mistake as she felt like her body was on fire as 100,000 volts of electricity flooded her system.
As her vision began to blur she could see a tall lanky figure with silver hair and a purple visor with earphones standing there with some kind of purple device on his arm. Since her Geass was still active she could see a red Geass symbol in the man's fluctuating aura.
Lord Kirihara: Ohgi I demand you to trust this guy, he's a true enemy of Britannia and his identity must be kept secret for very important reasons.
Ohgi: Ok I won't try to figure out who he is.
*Ohgi then spends most of his time from that point on trying to find out who he is.*
I am not a fan of Ohgi. I don't hate him, I just don't like how the whole Ohgi and Viletta thing is handled
Also, this fiction will be on hiatus after the fifteenth chapter. I will still be working on it, but I probably won't post until I have most of the 20 to 30 chapters remaining done. Code Geass is a complex anime to write for so I need to take a break. So the next chapter with be in 3-4 months then after posting will be whenever.
