Turning from the door, the Green Ranger and Jason stared at each other, intense hatred simmering in the air between them. Wordlessly, he suddenly and swiftly advanced on the Red Ranger, leaning over the bed so his helmet was inches from Jason's face. A smirk twitched the corners of his mouth as he saw his enemy's heart rate and blood pressure sharply increase.
"I'm going to make this perfectly clear, Red Ranger," Tommy growled. "The only reason you're still breathing is because Kimberly and I made a deal. If it were up to me, I would have snapped your neck like a chicken."
Jason glared up at the evil Ranger, feeling the cold that seemed to radiate from his helmet. He didn't have much strength, even to talk so he let Tommy continue.
Tommy straightened and crossed his arms over his chest. "Now we both know, life is going to suck for you from this point on. Goldar is going to be constantly after you. You'll probably get beaten a lot. And Finster says you'll won't ever walk right again." Tommy tisk tisked. "Basically, hell would be better than this."
The Green Ranger turned and started to pace slowly as if in deep thought. After a few moments, he returned to Jason's side.
"Tell ya what. You decide. I'll give you an out from this life. I can finish you off and tell Kimberly you didn't make it from your injuries. She'll never know. Plus I am more than happy to be done with you. Or you live and become our slave." He stood, arms crossed over his shield waiting.
Jason closed his eyes; this still didn't seem real. Could this actually be the end? The sound of Goldar and Tommy dumping his friends' bodies in the Dark Dimension flashed through his mind. The mental pain had been far worse than the physical pain he was in. He remembered suddenly hearing Kimberly's screams, seeing her tear streaked face and the Green Ranger straddling his waist, his gloved hands squeezing his throat.
Kimberly...
She needed him. Truthfully, he didn't see the point in staying alive when all was lost. Tommy was right; his life would be hellish. Slowly he opened his eyes. But his little sister needed him. He'd stay for her since she now had no one even if it meant his suffering. The thought of her alone with the Green Ranger sickened him.
Mustering up his strength, he croaked out, "I'll stay. For Kim."
Tommy snorted. "I kind of figured. Now, I have deal with Goldar getting in my face for not killing you."
"What... was the …... deal?" Jason rasped, eyes narrowed.
"That's not your concern, Red. But this is: I'll admit it; I'm a jealous guy. Possessive maybe. If I ever suspect you're messing with Kim, I'll castrate you. It's probably best if you don't touch her period. Safer. Sometimes my temper gets the best of me."
Leaving his threat to linger, the Green Ranger turned on his heel and swiftly excited, his chest aching with hatred for that fucking Red Ranger.
Why oh why did I promise Kimberly he could live?
