It was annoying.
It was annoying mostly because he just would not die. Forget friends, honor, whatever; that stupid, annoying, idiot of a Dragon Slayer just wouldn't die!
Midnight was a moderately agreeable guy. He generally gave people plenty of room, since everyone around him tended to be either insane or in coffins, and he treated his minions with as much care as an evil lordy-lordy Brain II should. He was a proper evil lordy-lordy whatnot too – not that anyone seemed to care. However, no matter how agreeable Midnight was, he could not seem to forgive the Dragon Wizard called Natsu Dragneel.
The Fairy Tail brat just wouldn't die! Midnight would be happy to end it all, go home, whatever, but the fact remained that he needed to finish it up. There was a sweet song running through his head that consisted mostly of four letter words strung together and a sort of choked, barely coherent thought that basically restated the entire drabble up until now: hewon'tdiehewon'tdiehewon'tdie-die already, dammit!-hewon'tdiehewon'tdiehewon'tdie, and etcetera, so on, and so forth.
He won't DIE!
Now, Midnight knew he was losing his temper. It didn't help much. That -bleep- son of a -bleep- crazy little brat, mother-bleep-ing Fairy Tail -bleep- out of a -bleep-ing whatever. Oh, well. Cursing helped. Midnight was able to block another of the wizard's hits, but it was finally too much for him. He tensed up, his anger taking control.
And Natsu knocked him clear off the edge.
As Midnight as falling, a strange sort of peace came over him. Finally, it was over. He didn't even care. Instead, he stared up as Natsu turned away to save his stupid friend.
"I hope you drop into hell and land in a steaming pile of horse -bleep-," Midnight said cheerfully, staring up at the light that was quickly disappearing as he fell. Even if Natsu was the main character and wouldn't die, nobody said Midnight had to keep his contract.
He made a mental note to contact the artists and have that stupid Dragon Slayer torn into itty-bitty pieces.
He could use his lordy-lordy infuence and excellent hair to convince the females with no problems.
The End
