A/N: So, I've finally hit that point. 278,000 words and I only made it to the halfway point. I'm going to be straight with you guys. I've been banging my head against a wall on this latest chapter for months. It's been four years since I started this story and it's only halfway even though its length is the equivalent of multiple books.

So, um, I'm rewriting it.

NOW WAIT! WAIT BEFORE YOU LEAVE AN ANGRY REVIEW AND GIVE UP ON ME!

Look, I just can't write the next chapter, and I feel like a rewrite that fixed my errors would both update more frequently and be of a much higher quality with a lot of aspects that are different, yet many more that are the same. So it's either a rewrite or nothing, unfortunately.

I've already posted the rewritten first chapter. I'm a bit rusty, so it has some rough spots I'll be ironing out over the next couple days, but I just wanted you guys to know that I want to write the best story I can, one that sticks to my original vision.

I know it sucks to see this just end on a cliffhanger. I apologize deeply for that, but do know that this story will not be receiving more chapters even if I didn't do a rewrite.

Also, I'm willing to bet you I could write a more optimized, better story in less than 278,000 words and four frickin years.

Thank you all for following this story for so long. If you want to drop it (and me) completely, I understand. I just wanted you all to know a little bit of what I've been going through these past several months.
