Author's Note: I am so sorry for the two years' delay for chapter eight…I've lost inspiration for Pretty Cure since it's been almost nine years I got into Pretty Cure and just…lost interest in anime, I think it was just a phase, but lately I've gone into it Pretty Cure again, only loving the original, Max Heart and Splash Star.

Happy new year!

Episode 8: Expeditions and a attack from Dark Zone!

Nagisa looked over the city on her balcony. The sun hadn't set and almost bouncing onto the hover cars yet, as it was above the city. She looked at her watch and pushed one of the buttons lined up near its little window; 10:12 am. Nagisa then glanced over to Saki who laid on the sofa, sleeping with the television on. She frowned in concern when she recalling Saki explaining what happened yesterday and …the Pretty Cures. Why did it sound so familiar? Nagisa glanced back over her balcony when the image of her teenage self-appeared in her mind, a sudden yellow plushie would be smirking towards her. Nagisa felt the sudden urge to grab its face to stretch, but her thoughts were interrupted when someone wrapped their arms around her chest. She smiled to herself as she turned to face her husband.

"Welcome back, Fuji-P" He smiled back at her, showing her a banquet of flowers and chocolate box to her face. Nagisa began to wave her arms frantically.

"A-ah, uh…h-happy anniversary!" Fuji-P just giggled at her. They heard a sudden click from the television which had turned off by itself.

"It's okay that you forgot, you look like you have a lot in your mind. It's the anniversary of our first date and… when you escaped death." Nagisa looked at Fuji-P for a while until she remembered both of those events. He approached her; she pouted her lip out, expecting a kiss, but her husband instead held a hand against her forehead.

"Are you sure you don't feel hot? Chills? Anything abnormal?" Nagisa giggled as she took his hand off her forehead.

"Fuji-P, it's been cured twenty-three years ago. Besides, the medicine technology is more advanced now. Remember, the surgery took the cancer out of my cells and… I got damn lucky."
Fuji-P suddenly dropped the gifts and wrapped his arms around her again, pulling her closer.

"And I'm damn lucky to have you," he replied, making Nagisa blush like a tomato.

"F-F-Fuji-P!" Fuji-P only smirked at that reaction, but his expression changed when he noticed Nagisa frowning again. He put his hands onto her shoulders, breathing near her neck. He could feel his wife getting chills as he did that.

"You're bad at hiding emotions, y'know that?" Nagisa pouted, making him giggle.

"Kazumi… has been acting so weird. She looks stressed, tired and I'm afraid it's the symptoms of…" Fuji-P knew where she was going with that statement. He rubbed his arms around hers up and down.

"Nagisa, Kazumi's in all that due to Tomo being missing, remember that." Nagisa sighed.

"If you want to make sure, we can get her a scanner on her body?"
Nagisa nodded in agreement.

"That'd be nice." She smiled at Fuji-P, turning around to give him a kiss.
Fuji-P kissed back; but as their broke up, he let out a giggle. "Ha-ha, I can't believe you used to be embarrassed just looking at me when we were teen."
Nagisa playfully hit him before asking: "Speaking of… do you remember some duo named Pretty Cure?"

"Pretty Cure… No, doesn't ring a bell, why?"

"Saki… was kidnapped, b-but she's alright now!" Nagisa suddenly added as Fuji-P's expression changed into furious one but sighed in relieved. "When she came back, she mentioned something about being rescued by the Pretty Cures."

"…it must be in her imagination due to shock? I mean, she watches too many magical girl anime. Come on, let's go to that new Tako place to celebrate." Fuji-P held out his arm for Nagisa who giggled but then drooled at the mention of her favorite food.

"Tako..yaki… It's been aaaaaaaaageeeess!" Fuji-P laughs as he opens the door for his wife, holding her coat for her. Nagisa puts her coat on with her husband's help before walking out of the door with him.

Kazumi sighed exhausted, laying her pen down for a second. She stared at the computer screen, recapping what has happened. Kazumi and Shizuka had to drop that weird cat, Tomyo, to Hikari while they went to school at early morning. Hikari wasn't very pleased of course as Akane doesn't quite like cats and is more of a dog person but they promised to make it up to Hikari if she ever needed something. Kazumi was more concerned over the Dark Zone's strategies; kidnapping their loved ones to weaken them, how dirty of them! Though, she wasn't surprised as they don't quite fight honorably. Maybe if they discussed it with Hikari for their next plan...

Kazumi snapped out of it and resumed drawing on her sketch pad. She'd switched glances at the screen and the pad as she rotated her pen, making the 3D model in the computer rotate as well, and zoom closer in to see if there were any details missing. Kazumi would rotate the computer girl's waist and start to draw a cellphone case.

"Amazing." Kazumi's pen went over the pad and onto the table, making the 3D model rotate for a second but stopped when the pen was out of the pad. Kazumi turned around quickly, not expecting the History teacher to view from behind.

"M-M-Marcus-sensei!" Kazumi shouted but lowered her voice when the librarian shushed her. "Y-you startled me!"

"Apologies, Fujimura-san. I was on my way to find a book when I got a glance at your work. You want to be a sketch artist?" Kazumi shook her head. "A..a video game developer, sir."

Marcus folded his arms, impressed as he smiled. "And who is that girl? Care to give me a synopsis of your plot?" Marcus's attention drew to the full-faced colored 3D model girl, extending her arm out while her other would be in the air.

"Uh..w-well, it's about two girls who becomes 'Pretty Cure' and save the world. Like a magical girl anime." Marcus leaned in little closer to the screen before looking at Kazumi for a second. "She looks like you, Fujimura-san..." he thought out loud as his eyes caught onto the cellphone case attached to Kazumi's skirt.

"S-s-she's kinda based on myself, y'know, appearance like!" There was silence before Marcus straightened his back and smiled. "Of course, artists do that all the time. Good luck with your dream, Fujimura-san." He patted on her shoulder before walking towards the bookshelves as Kazumi sighed relieved.

The bell rung and echoed the empty hallway, not even making Marcus flinch at it. His eyes focused on the papers he was staring at as he used his pen to go over the history test. Marcus groaned when he saw Kazumi's name. He pinched onto his nose bridge when he looks over at the answers.

"Time for extra lesson for Fujimura..." he muttered in other language. A man popped his head into the doorway to peek at Marcus. Marcus lifted his head up to look back at the janitor who had big smile.

"Working hard I see, Marcus-san." Marcus laid back on his chair, stretching his arms before he'd reply.

"It's more quieter to work during weekends, Okuda-san." Okuda nodded as he muttered, 'Indeed' before continuing onto his duties outside the doorway. Marcus checks his pocket watch before putting it back into his vest pocket, stretching his hand towards the drawer and pick up a tic tac like candy. He looked over to Okuda who, fortunately, had his back turned from Marcus. He'd quickly pat lightly onto the box as he turns it sideways, trying to just get one pill out onto his hand. He'd pick stick his finger into his water glass and smeared it onto the pill, transforming it into noodles. Marcus then picked up chopsticks and dug in.

Thud

Marcus turned around towards unconscious Okuda. He threw the noodles onto the floor, running towards the janitor to check his condition. His ears perked, suddenly turning around towards the window; two figures were levitating, the sky dark purple mixed with some black. Marcus would recognize the woman with bear ears stuck out of her hair but not the green haired man next to her. As they float up, Marcus ran towards the staircase up to the roof, knocking the door down in progress, as he goes into fighting stance as the two people would land onto the roof gently.

"I can't believe you, Roja..." Marcus's eyes would immediately fall onto the bear woman. "Saori-san will be disappointed at you." Roja just scoffed, drawing her weapon of choice, sai. (1)

"Just come with us quietly, sir." the green-haired man spoke instead. "I think we need to use brutal force." Roja smirked, waiting onto the man's command.

"Roja's right. I don't work with evil people." The man stood there as Roja stormed towards Marcus to try and stab him in the stomach but Marcus managed to transform into a snake, slithering between her legs and few feet from her as he transforms into rhino, charging towards her. Roja rolled away from the charge and stabbed Marcus in the hoof, forcing him to go back into his Human form. An object would fall out of his vest pocket during the rolling.

"Roja. We need him alive." The man stated blankly. "I'm sure our 'Lord' wouldn't mind few wounds here and there." Roja replied, waiting for Marcus's second attack. After waiting for few minutes, she'd charge in, impatient, and tried to use the hilt of her sai to knock him out but Marcus transformed into a snake again, trying to slither away from Roja and towards the man. The man gazes onto the object Marcus had dropped earlier and picked it up, inspecting it closely. His thought was interrupted when Roja yelled his name out. Looking up, Marcus would be charging into him. Before he could do anything, Marcus turned into a bird, flying away. The man would just stare at the bird while Roja muttered under her breath.

"You let him go!" Roja turned to the man.

"He was too quick. There will be another opportunity." He said, looking at the pouch again.

Hikari smiled at her white green old companion who bounced around happily. Porun had dropped by for a visit from Garden of Light but Hikari felt like there was another reason he came back. Tomyo laid low on the ground, her hind legs beneath her and her eyes dilated as she focuses on Porun. Luckily, Hikari noticed the cat's stance but didn't understand what she was doing. Hikari turned her head back to Porun but in split second, he disappeared from her eyesight and the little green plushie was on the floor with Tomyo on top of him, biting him as her tail swung.

"Tomyo-san, no!" Hikari was quick on her feet and tore Tomyo away from Porun before she did anymore damage. Porun stood on his feet, his eyes watering before he'd ran towards Hikari's legs and cried like a little kid who hurt his knees. Hikari placed Tomyo on her bed and tended to Porun while Tomyo just licked her paw nonchalantly.

"Porun is not a toy, Tomyo-san!" Hikari scolded.

"I was bored." Tomyo replied coldly.

"Roran-popo." Porun said before Hikari could retort back at Tomyo. Porun jumped out of Hikari's arms, onto her bed and the doorknob where he turned it opened. Porun would let himself drop down before exiting the room. "Porun, no! Stay here!" Hikari exited the room as well, luckily for Porun, she accidentally covered Porun as Akane glanced at Hikari with eyebrow raised.

"Porun? Hikari, did you allow Takezo to take in stray cats again?" Hikari approached Akane and turned her away from Porun's view. While this was going on, Porun jumped to try and reach the doorknob but fails. He walked to Hikari's room again and exited with Tomyo besides him who helped him to open the door.

"I'll talk to Takezo, you take care of the cos-" Hikari stopped when she saw Kazumi and Shizuka who arrived with a smile. Hikari beckoned them over quietly before pointing to where Porun was seconds ago. The girls panicked but tried to maintain a smile at Akane and dismissing any suspecting things as they went over to Hikari.

"I need to help the girls with the homework, Akane-san. Don't disturb, please." With that, Hikari closed the door with a sigh.

"What the hell?!" The girls flinched when they heard Takezo yell surprised from his room, running or taking few steps, to his room. The girls just stared at the scene before them when they arrived. Porun was hugging Roran, who was not pleased with it, jumping slightly off floor with happiness. Takezo just smiled at the two reunion.

"T-Takezo..I-I can explain!" Hikari broke the silence as the girl entered the room and closed behind them. "It's okay, mom. I remember." Hikari's face seemed to have lifted with relief. She went over to Takezo for a hug, which, the boy didn't refuse to give back.

"All these years, I wanted to tell you...We should've stayed in Garden of Rainbow." Takezo gently pushed Hikari away from him.

"I'm not angry, I'm just happy I got to reunite with Roran one day." Hikari teared up at that statement and went for another hug.

Kazumi and Shizuka patiently and politely stood by the door confused but waits for their turn. After few seconds of hugging, the mother and son stopped and only looked at each other. Hikari looked over the room and noticed the Pretty Cure, letting out an 'oh.'

Hikari explained, while Kazumi ate some takoyaki not paying attention to the story. A knock was heard and she opened the door ajar, only to see Akane.

"A teacher of yours just dropped some homework and candy for Kazumi and Shizuka." Akane tried to give the gifts to Hikari through the small opened door but Hikari opened it a little so it'd fit. She'd thank Akane before closing the door and handing the candy to Kazumi and Shizuka.

"More homework?!" Kazumi groaned as Shizuka snickered. Shizuka opened the box with the candy, eager to try out Japanese candy while Kazumi was busy finished her takoyaki.

"So...what do we do with the Dark Zone...they kidnapped Saki-san...what if they try and KILL our loved ones..." Shizuka asked worriedly as she ate the candy without thinking.

"We need to find and attack them instead, rora!" Roran stated.

"We don't even know where their HQ is." Takezo said, making Roran sit down and think. "Then we train harder-rora." Making Takezo nod in agreement. Kazumi looked at Shizuka and Hikari before asking. "Takezo-kun is going to train with swords and I already know judo. What will Shizuka and Hikari-san learn?"

"I know who can." Tomyo said. The group hadn't noticed Tomyo sneaking into the room during the Porun's fiasco. "She teaches ninjutsu (3) and shaolin (4), you can choose your own weapons and fighting style."

"And...where is she?" Tomyo smirked when Shizuka asked. "In alternative universe. We can go tomorrow?"

"And school?" Kazumi asked, her mouth full of takoyaki. "Just lie that you're going on vacation or something." Tomyo replied carelessly. "Alright!" Kazumi stood up, knocking down the empty takoyaki case.

"Let's pack!" Kazumi shouted happily. Shizuka nodded in agreement, placing the empty candy box besides her.

"Kazumi!" Kazumi turned around, seeing her father run towards her along with her little sister, Saki. "Finally, we found you. We need to the hospital, now." Kazumi widened her eyes worried.

"What...is it mom?! Is she okay?!"

"Just...I'll explain when we're there." Fuji-P grabbed her hand and dragged the two sisters towards the hospital.

When they arrived to the hospital, the first thing Kazumi did was getting candy from the vending machine while her father checked the sisters' in. Saki approached Kazumi while he was busy, tapping her shoulder to draw her attention. "Why do you think dad is taking us here?" Saki whispered as Kazumi just shrugged.

"As long as I don't get a needle shot, I don't care." Fuji-P approached the girls when Kazumi received her candy. He guided the two to the waiting room and pushed their shoulders so they would sit on the bench. He'd sit near them, sighing.

"You two are you too young to know this but...your mother doesn't want to worry you. What I'm about to say, do NOT mention it to her."

"Weren't you two on a date or something?" Saki asked.

"Some asshole drove passed us and drove onto a puddle. She's at home, showering. Anyways...When...Nagisa was at your age, Kazumi." Kazumi drew her attention to Fuji-P with mouthful of candy. "She got leukemia..." Kazumi and Saki gasped; Kazumi almost choked on the candy bar but Saki managed to pat on her back hard enough for the candy to shoot out of her.

"H-h-how...what?!" they yelled unison.

"Your mother was always sick when she was a little kid. At age fifteen, she got leukemia. Thankfully, she managed to survive it. She's worried you two genetically got leukemia from her. We are here to make sure you are alright." The sisters' sighed defeated.

Hikari cleaned the tables when the restaurant was half-empty. The teenagers were already gone to their homes and making excuses to their absent. Hikari looked at the couples who had just finished eating their takoyaki. She moved over to the table with her rag as the bell for the door rang for new costumers. Akane shouted 'Welcome.' looked at Hikari with a smirk as she beckons her over. Hikari raised her eyebrow as she did what she was told and faced the newly arrived costumers with a gasp. The woman also gasped but Fuji-P just smiled widely along with Akane.

"N..Nagisa-san..."

"Hikari..."

The women said at the same time, still staring at each other. Within few seconds, they ran towards each other and hugged tightly. "Great plan, Shougo-san." Akane smirked at Fuji-P who smirked back. They allowed the women to have their moments, waiting patiently to explain. But the women only questioned each other.

"Have...you seen Honoka-san?" Hikari started, Nagisa shook her head. "Not since High School graduation. Though, that girl, Shizuka has the same surname as Honoka." Hikari nodded before replying.

"She's a friend of my son. Why...don't we ask Shizuka-san?" Nagisa facepalmed. "Why didn't I think of it before!" she yelled at herself, causing Hikari to snicker at her as well as Fuji-P.

"Ladies, let's all talk about it over takoyaki. On me!" Akane interrupted. Nagisa cheered, hugging Fuji-P.

Marcus hissed through his teeth as he limped around the alley. He leaned against the wall, extending his leg as his hand glowed green and he touched his leg; the wound would slowly close, Marcus lifted his hand from the wound and sighed. Marcus draws out his phone and selects the contact before calling. Within a few rings, the phone would be picked up by a familiar voice, for Marcus.

"How...Lan, how does this thing work?" Marcus heard at the end of the line along with a sigh. "Give me that! Hello?"

"Teoki...I found the Pretty Cure." Marcus would place the phone onto the ground as it'd transform into a door. The doorknob would be turned and a fox and a tiger would come out of it. The tiger would be carrying two swords, not Japanese one but Korean while the fox had a small tube on her waist.

"Where are they?" the tiger asked immediately. Marcus stood up with difficulty, clenching his teeth together, making the women step towards him to help him but Marcus lifts his palm up, making them freeze at their place.

"I can do it...my own. Now...the Pretty Cures are teenagers. One of them is called Fujimura Kazumi."

"How are you sure it's her?" Teoki asked. "I saw Mepple on her waist." That reply made the women more confused. Marcus sighed but still continued. "I need to go back to school to find information of her whereabouts. Meanwhile, one of you need to spy on her."

"I think it would be wise for Lan to spy on her, people would freak out if they'd saw a loose tiger in the city." They both nodded. "Good point, Teoki." Lan said calmly.

"Be careful though, the Dark Zone is around somewhere."

"Did you see Roja?!" Marcus nodded.

"Yes, and she refused to listen to me. We need to find the Cures quickly if we are to help her."

Yeah...sorry for it being short, next time I need to make a skeleton or something.
