Once upon a time, Deidara and Tobi were flying on a huge bird formed from detonation clay (Deidara's contribution) 10,000 feet above the ground. Tobi was staring down in wonder at the ground that passed by below him. Suddenly, the bird jerked as Tobi threw himself across one of its wings, pointing eagerly down below.

"Deidara-senpai!" He exclaimed eagerly. "Look! It's a really cute little spider, right down there! Look how small it is…"

"Don't do that!" Deidara snapped as the bird was just able to level off again. Deidara followed Tobi's gaze to the small spider on the ground. "Tobi, you do know we're 10,000 feet off the ground, right?" Deidara said matter-of-factly. Tobi froze, pointing at the spider that looked no more than a centimeter across from his position. He suddenly leapt back and grabbed at Deidara.

"Save me, Deidara-senpai!" He exclaimed in fear. "It's a monstrous man-eating arachnid! Quick, quick, fly higher before it eats us!"

"Tobi, let me stress a few syllables of that," Deidara said slowly. "We are ten thousand feet off the ground, hmm. Ten thousand feet off the ground. That spider, therefore, is ten thousand feet below us, hmm. You're fine, you wimp."

"It looks so small from here," Tobi said weakly.

"That's the thing about height," Deidara said, an odd look coming over his face. "If you'd like to see better… I wouldn't mind giving you a little push, hmm?"
