I'm back with a new short story. A mix of the popular Tennant 'Curse of the Timelords' and my own personal theory. This is it at the moment, but I may add a second part. It's all up to you lot, so let me know! Now, to get to the story...
Please excuse this short interruption. It must be stated that Arabella does not own any part of Doctor Who... unfortunately.
"Spoilers" River said sadly, connecting the large wires, electricity burning out both of her hearts. The Doctor just managed to reach his screwdriver. He took another second to look at the beautiful woman, broke out, and went to find Donna, resolved to come back and give her the burial she deserved. He missed the golden glow that had come up around River. She was enveloped in a golden energy beyond her control. It was a miracle this was even going to happen. The energy erupted, and she was thrust back into a new body. She looked down. The suit had burned off, and she looked down at herself. She wasn't a girl anymore.
"Well. That was something, wasn't it?" the voice wasn't very deep for her new body, but it was definitly masculin. And American. "I suppose I'll need a new name. Perhaps... Jack. Jack Harkness. I like that" She still had her vortex manipulator. She set the coordinates for the 51st century, her favorite time. Right as she pressed the button, vanishing, the Doctor came in.
"What? What? What? Where did she go?" Donna entered at that time.
"Maybe she ran off"
"I wish that could happen. But she was properly dead only a minute ago"
"Maybe she faked it. Maybe she lied"
"It had to have burned out her heart. There was no other way. This is the curse of the timelords. Watching your wife from the future die before you even know her"
Donna sighed. "Doctor? Can we get icecream?"
"I can't eat ice cream! That's another curse of the timelords. I'm lactose intolerent!"
"Okay then. Let's just go back to the TARDIS"
"Alright. I have to go back anyway. It's the curse of the timelords to never be able to settle down..."
