A/N: I am back. :D

Chapter 15

9 months already?

He sighed and rubbed his face as he stared at the black T.V. It has been turned off for a while now. King Kai told him to never look at it again without his permission or else he was going to be sent to the home for infinite losers, but to be honest right now all he wanted to do was to turn the T.V. on and look at his home.

Did Chichi give birth already? How was the baby? And Gohan? How was he holding up? He looked behind him and saw the giant blue cockroach fighting with Bubbles. King Kai was distracted, meaning that he could turn the TV. on and off again without him noticing.

He smiled, rubbed his hands together and moved his hand to press the on button.

"Don't you dare! I already told you what was going to happen if you did that!"

Goku groaned and leaned back on the yellow cloud before turning to his master. "King Kai!" he whined. "Come on! It is only a peek! I promise. I just want to see how she is doing. It has been nine months. I bet she gave birth! I want to see my kid."

"No! You know the rules."

"But rules are meant to be broken…" Goku mumbled before crossing his arms over his strong chest imitating a spoiled kid.

"Sure they were. Now, do whatever you want to do and I will kick you out of here and end up you-know-where."

"I can see you never had a family."

"No and I don't want to. Too much drama."

"Drama?" He groaned and turned to turn to him. "She is my wife. She is pregnant with my kid I want to see how she is doing."

"I sent Baba and she gave you a fair share of how she is doing. She is angry and depressed."

"That was a month ago, King Kai!"

"And you think that the last month of pregnancy is going to change the way that she think? I think that halo is messing with your brain waves."

Goku frowned and turned back to the TV. before sighing in exasperation. "I still want to see her."

"Later. Not now."

Goku's eyes perked up with a hint of surprise. "Later? So you are going to let me see her?"

"She has to die eventually. You will see her when she crosses over."

"King Kai!

It had been a long day.

She was sitting on the sofa, legs up on the new ottoman her father had bought for her. She needed to keep her legs up. They have become so swollen due to the water retention…

Gohan was out with Piccolo. He said that he would be home early. She was being monitored 24/7 since she was finally in her last month of pregnancy. She rubbed her stomach lovingly, feeling the baby inside moving as if wanting to feel more of his mother's touch.

"I know, hon. You will be out soon," she whispered looking down as if waiting for a reply, instead, see saw how her stomach bulged slightly as the unborn child moved just a tiny bit. She smiled tenderly and slowly pressed her fingers where she had seen the sudden movement. She was so enthralled by her baby's pushing against her that she never heard the door opening and closing.

"I'm home!"

Chichi turned her head to look at the entrance to her home as she saw her son walk in holding a large fish. This past couple of weeks, the teenager had taking it in as his sole duty to keep his mother company at all cost and be able to be there just in case "it" happen. His mind had been racing with so many things like, was it going to be a boy or a girl, was it going to be strong, will it look like his mom or dad, will it like to fight or study like him?

He dropped the fish on top of the kitchen counter and took off his smelly shirt and tossed it aside before peaking his head to the living room.

"Hey." She said waving her hand at him letting him know she was there. "How was training?"

"Great. He beat me up good." He said before heading over to her and sitting beside her. "And you?" he leaned forward and rubbed her stomach. "Hey kiddo!"

"I am fine, but he is not moving a lot."

"Is that normal?"

"Yes. I mean, it will be time soon."

"How soon is soon?"

Chichi sighed and placed her arm over his shoulder and pulled him in. The teenager rested his head on her shoulder and let out a content groan. "Soon. I remember when I was about to give birth to you. Boy, was that fun."

"Are you being sarcastic?"

Chichi chuckled before closing her eyes and diving into her own slumber with her son in her arms. "Of course I am. Giving birth to a half alien is never fun."

"Can you stop staring at me?"

Goku was in a trance. He blinked at the sudden question and looked down at his bowl of rice before clearing his throat. "I- I just want…" He gawked at her stomach again. "You are very large."

"I know."

"Isn't the baby supposed to be here?"

"Yes."

"Why are you taking so long?"

"The baby is not ready."

"But…. Aren't you-"

"Goku, I am not going to stay like this forever!"

He nodded at her words and went back to his bowl. He seemed to be thinking about something until he turned to look at her once again. "But-"

"Goku. I am so terrified and you asking questions will only make me even more nervous. So –"she stopped dead on her tracks as her words died in her mouth.

The sudden sound of trickling water made both her and Goku looked down to the floor.

Goku was confused.

Chichi was starting to panic.

"Did… did you?" Goku stammered for a couple of seconds before seeing how much water was in the ground.

"My water just broke." Chichi whispered but of course, Goku was able to pick up what she had just said, yet he didn't understand what she said.

He frowned, stood up from his chair and made his way towards her. "What?"

"My water just broke!" she said, louder for him to hear and understand and gave him a look of sheer and pure terror. Then, she felt a strong pain that made her grab hold of the kitchen counter for dear life. She opened her mouth to tell Goku to look for the suit case they had prepared, but the only thing that came out of her was a pained moan.

Goku's eyes were wide in panic while Chichi grabbed unto his hand, squeezing it with an unbelievable force that made him, him of all people, wince in pain and actually let out a small wail.

"Goku, we need to go to the hospital now."

"Okay!" He answered right back, but stood there, dumbfounded as his wife's grasp made him think that she was actually going to break his fingers…

"Now! Go get the suitcase!"

"I will! I will as soon as you let go!" he whined and rubbed her back. He didn't wanted to sound like he was actually angry at her. So he soothed his words with some soft caresses. It seemed like it worked. She released his now injured hand and felt the soft breeze of his absence hit her as he ran up the stairs, grabbed the suitcase and gathered her in his strong arms and dashed outside.

The warrior called upon his flying yellow cloud in which he jumped and flew away in second's time.

Chichi opened one eye and let out a pained groan. Her son had fallen off of the couch and was soundly sleeping on the ground, one hand touching his mother's foot, as if keeping tabs on his younger sibling's energy and her own. She tried her best to sit up straight yet the unnerving feeling of wetness between her thighs made her freeze up. The sense of nostalgia and dread hit her hard. The audible gasp that escaped her mouth made Gohan wake up from his light slumber. He sat up and quickly noticed the wet stain on her mother. She had talked to him about this.

She had taken the time to tell him everything that was going to happen in the last term of her pregnancy; the dry skin, the fatigue, the swollen feet, the heart burn, shortness of breath, not being able to sleep and so much more but also, the first sign that will let them both know that the baby was coming.

He felt a jolt of electricity flash through him as his eyes went from the wet clothes up to his mother's nervous yet determined gaze. "Now?"

She nodded and watched him run just as his father had done years ago.

"Nimbus!" Chichi yelled and in seconds, the yellow cloud, that belonged to not only Goku but herself, floated in front of her, inside the living room, breaking a couple of things in the process.

Chichi clawed her way unto the cloud as she heard the heavy footsteps of her oldest son. She felt his hands on her waist as he accommodated her and jumped behind her holding the suitcase close to him.

Chichi controlled her breathing, taking deep breathes and exhaling through her mouth as she had done before. She touched Nimbus and leaned forward as she whispered, "hospital" to it, without a second to spare, Nimbus flew out, leaving a yellow trail behind.

"Help!"

The people inside the hospital gasped in surprise. A yellow cloud had just crashed through the emergency sliding doors and stopped right in front of a very frightened nurse who happened to be behind a counter. Papers flew around as if a hurricane had hit the reception.

Goku, holding his wife tightly, jumped off and looked at the fat woman before him with pleading eyes. Chichi was holding unto him for dear life, white knuckled, panting and white as a paper. He was terrified, Chichi hadn't stopped screaming in pain and crying the moment they jumped on the nimbus.

"Help, please! She…uh…. broke something!"

For a moment, Chichi was able to find a line of consciousness within her pain. She opened her eyes and turned to look at the nurse, she had gotten out of the counter and walked over to them, assessing the problem with the young woman in the handsome man's arm. Without thinking, Chichi's hand grabbed hold of the nurse's forearm and held on tightly. "My water broke!"

The nurse's eyes became focused. She quickly went for a wheel chair and instructed Goku to sit her there. She pushed the young saiyan out of the way and off she went.

"First birth?"

"Yes! Yes! Please help. I am petrified!" Chichi cried out as she was pushed through a long hall with Goku close behind.

"That's completely normal, hon. I can assure you that everything will be alright.

Goku was lost in all the whiteness around him. He was more or less sure of what to expect. Chichi had read all the things that might be done to her, including the fact that there was going to be a man or a woman in white robes touching her and helping her deliver the baby. She had begged and even made him promise her that he would not touch any of the people that were around her even if her screams became too much for him to handle.

Of course, he had told her that how was he supposed to remain calm if he felt she was in danger, if he saw she was in danger. His mind would switch into its animalistic instinct to protect her.

She, on the other hand, grabbed him by his wild locks of hair and stared at him right in the eyes and made him promise her that he will stay put, that he will wait for whatever outcome and that he will hold her hand every step of the way, even if that meant that she was going to break his hand with all the squeezing she was going to do.

And he did just that. He sat beside her, stared at her red and sweaty face as she screamed out in agony. The doctor was instructing her to push, to take a breather and to push again. He remembered that was on one of the books he read. There was going to be a lot of pushing and screaming.

A nurse had given him a damp cloth and told him to place it over her forehead. His chest was tight with worry. She looked like she was having the worst battle she had ever encounter. But then, something miraculously happened.

Her eyes turned to face him, and for a moment, the peace that she radiated hit him at full force. She exhaled happily and then he heard it. He heard a new sound that he hadn't heard ever in his life.

He heard a cry.

Something was off. She could tell by the way the nurses looked at her and the way that the doctor's brow was covered with sweat. Chichi's knuckles were white as she gripped unto the metal bars besides her. She was doing her breathing like she was thought to do years ago, she was pushing like the doctor was telling her to do, but why was her body reacting so different from when Gohan was born.

She let out an exhausted breath and lay down, her eyes staring at a random stop on the white ceiling. She felt so tired, so weak, so useless. She kept hearing the nurses screaming, pulling her up to almost a sitting position. One of them held her hand but suddenly, she didn't even felt any kind of strength to push.

"Gohan," she called out to him. She wanted her son in here. She needed a familiar face in the amidst of face covered people around her.

"My son-" she whispered and asked for her son. Her oldest where was he?

He was left outside, they answered. Yet, she felt this uneasiness in the pit of her stomach.

Her vision began to blur and her hand didn't even held on to the nurse's hand. She turned her pale face to the nurse. "I am tired," Chichi swallowed hard and for a moment the face of the nurse behind her grew worried.

She was coming and going of consciousness and while she heard the doctor screaming for her to push she didn't have strength to do so.

She heard them whisper so many different things Hemorrhage? She asked for her son again, her hands moved around in order to find that person whose absent was driving her to the point of madness. She needed someone here, now.

Gohan, Goku, her father, heck even Piccolo would do the trick right now.

"He is out!" a nurse yelled.

For a second, her eyes came back to life as she looked for the small bundle of life that had been taken from her. A soft smile painted her lips yet, her new baby boy wasn't placed on her chest like when Gohan was born. He was taken away from her. A nurse moved to her, looked down at her face, and blinded her with a small flashlight.

"Ma'am. Stay with me. Pay attention to my voice."

She frowned.

"Don't go to sleep. Keep your eyes open."

"I am tired…" she whispered as she moved her hand to grab the nurse's hand. She really was. "Is he okay?"

"He is fine. Let's focus on you!"

A hard knock was heard outside. A teenager's voice screamed, booming at whoever was on the other side. Chichi heard it but in a muffled, as if she was under pillows.

"Her energy is leaving her body!"

She smiled a bit as Gohan pushed through the nurses and moved to her.

"Baby boy."

"Mom! Stay awake!"

"We need to work on her, kid get out of the room!"

"Mom! Please don't. Stay with me!"

"I will-" she whispered. "I- I just need to sleep for a bit."

Darkness. That's all she saw. It felt calm, soothing and she definitely didn't felt pain or tiredness anymore. She chuckled. This was really soothing. She had just closed her eyes for a second and she already felt like the weight of the world has been lifted from her shoulders.

"You can't do this, Chichi!"

She opened her eyes the moment that voice echoed inside her mind. She found herself standing on a long line. There were people around her, some of them young, some of them old. She frowned and looked down at herself. She was wearing her usual purple dress and orange scarf. Her hair was up in that perfect bun she always wore.

"Move it, lady. I know we are here forever but I still want to know if I am going to heaven or hell," an old man, probably in his 70's moved his cane at her.

"Wait, what?" Chichi felt something stir inside of her. She moved out of the line in confusing. She turned back and saw how the line had no end yet in the front a large house welcomed the people. She frowned in bewilderment.

Where was she?

She felt a soft breeze behind her and without thinking it twice she turned around to see a couple of dark eyes looking down at her. She felt warm hands on her arms, gripping her as if begging to pay attention to the person before her.

"Listen to me, you need to go back. This is not your time."

She didn't hear him. In fact she only saw black eyes and spikey hair. She knew who he was and her brain sparked a small flashback of her husband. That was her husband…

"Son Goku." Realization fell on her like a ton of brick. "Goku!" she screamed and wrapped her arms around his shoulder and held on tightly. She called his name again and for a moment she felt him wrap his arms around her and squeeze her as tightly as he could.

"Chichi! Listen! You need to go back. We only have a couple of Earth minutes to make you turn around and go back."

"Back where?"

The sudden realization of her lack of knowledge made him swallow hard. This was normal, some people don't even realize they are dead until they are standing in front of King Yemma. "Chichi. Gohan and the baby need you. You need to go back."

"Baby? Gohan! Wait! Where am I?"

Goku gritted his teeth in apprehension. "You are dead."

"No! No no no! I can't leave Gohan alone!"

"Exactly."

Her face turned from worried to total determination, yet as she turned to her young looking husband she felt her gut twist. "But, you-"

"Forget about me. Focus your energy on getting back to your body. We will meet again, but not now. Not like this."

Her lower lip quivered and without thinking it, she took a step forward and disappeared right in front of Goku.

She gasped for air as if she was drowning. Her dark eyes searched for familiar faces as her heart beat harsh inside her ears.

One nurse let out a surprised yelp and another one clapped her hand in triumphal while she heard a sniffle besides her. Her son, her first baby boy, Gohan moved to her side, cupped her face and cried to his heart content.

"I am sorry, honey. I went to sleep and I went in to deep. I am sorry, baby," Chichi said as her hand moved to grasp her son's wild black locks of hair. The sweet moment was short lived . One of the nurses, despise being told not to do so, carried the wailing baby over to Chichi.

"It's fine. I can hold him," Chichi said, assuring everyone in the room that she was indeed strong enough to gather her newborn in her arms. With the help of her son, she moved to a sitting position and received the proffered bundle of joy in her strong yet trembling arms.

The sight before her made her lips quivered in both sadness and happiness. The baby was the splitting image of Goku. "Oh boy," she whispered and moved the wild strands of hair away from the small face.

"Oh man! He looks just like Dad!"

Chichi nodded at Gohan's words not before pressing her lips to the baby's forehead. "A new baby boy,"s he said, letting her lips caressed the new little human. "Goten."

"Goten?"

"Do you like the name?"

"Son Goten," Gohan repeated the name before nodding in approval. "I love it."

She opened her eyes just in time to see Goku holding the new born in his strong arms. The baby looked so small that she had to squint her eyes in order to make sure he was actually holding him and not just a ball of clothes. She exhaled and smiled when Goku turned to look at her.

"Hey, daddy," Chichi whispered as if saying a secret only they knew.

"Hey, momma," he grinned proudly. "He is sleeping."

"They do that a lot," Chichi said before sitting up and let out a strained groan.

"Are you okay, Chichi? That looked painful"

Chichi scoffed. "Oh, it was, but it was so worth it."

Goku nodded at her words and turned back to look at the small creature in his arms.

"Everything will change from this day on, you know that right?" Chichi said as she tried to somehow bring her hair to a presentable look.

"How come?"

"Well, we have to feed him, change his diapers, be careful he doesn't get hurt, it will be… a lot of work."

"But he is so tiny. How can he be so much work?"

"Because he is your son and I bet he is going to be a handful."

Goku raised his eyes and frowned. "Nah! He will be fine, right little guy? You won't give mommy and daddy a lot of trouble right?"

Chichi smiled and moved her arms to Goku's direction. He knew right away what she wanted. He placed the baby in her arms and sat down right next to her on the small hospital bed.

"We are a family now, Goku."
