After the debacle of last night, Mary Jane decided to maybe warm up with some smaller or simpler crimes. Nothing like practicing and starting off small to get used to things. As she leaped roof from roof she kept an eye out from any potential crimes going on. Flatrion, Brownsville, Hunts Point or even maybe cut to the chase and head to Midtown. There were plenty of places she could go it was just a matter of traveling from Queens to any of those locations on a set route and making it back home in a reasonable time.
It didn't take long for her to spot out two men trying to carjack a custom Audi. 'Its go time.' She thought as she leaped off the side of the building and pressed her feet against the side to launch herself towards the criminals. Slamming her palms into the back of the two criminals she caused both of them to slam into the car and knocked them both to the ground causing them both to fall to the ground unconscious. She winched as she noticed the car was dented up a bit. 'Well better than it being stolen.' She reasoned. 'Still, that was rather easy. I need someone I can really test myself out on.' She concluded as she once again took to the skies to find more crime.

A young Hispanic girl with long lower back length raven hair with faint blue height lights was traveling down the street. She was dressed in a black tank top with a red unbutton plaid shirt and ripped faded jeans. Reaching inside her purse she pulled out a piece of gum. She arrived to the bus stop and looked around. Even though it was early Sunday morning the area seemed sparser than usual. Oh well, didn't matter much. Her attention was drawn to the sound of a door being slammed. Out of a black van was a balding male, Caucasian about his forties wearing an old worn out grey shirt and tattered black pants.
"Hey, could you give me some directions?" asked the man. He had a piece of paper with him, and a pen. The girl shrugged. "Sure." The man looked around. He was surprisingly nervous. He saw nothing except a few people on the other side of the street and a car or two parked in the area. He smiled. "Great." he muttered. "Where do you want to go?" she asked with an exasperated sigh. He wasn't even cute. He was bald. She fought hard not to wrinkle her nose at him. He had a tattoo on his arm. It was a cross with the word 'Endless' above it. She had no idea why she was even helping him. "There." she said unhappily, handing him the piece of paper and flipping her hair. "Thank you." he said with a smirk. Suddenly she felt strong arms suddenly pull her back, and she screamed. She looked behind her to see the man grabbing her arms behind her. She screamed again. She opened her mouth to scream for a third time but his chubby hand covered it. She kept on screaming, her desperate attempts at freedom muffled by his hand. She tried to kick out but couldn't. He was holding on too tight. She managed one kick, striking the bald man. He swore and walked towards her menacingly. "Stupid bitch." he said, pulling his hand back to strike her. But someone grabbed his wrist before he could. "Let the girl go!"

'This is so boring.' Spidergirl thought as she continued patrolling the area. On the verge of deciding to go to another area she heard a scream and it caught her attention. She dropped down and began dashing towards the direction of the scream. She arrived and was dumbfounded when she saw the sight in front of him. A girl was being held back by a fat man, and she was trying to kick out. She kicked the man in front of her, and then Spidergirl ran towards her. The man pulled his hand back, but she grabbed his wrist. "Let the girl go!" she said, anger pulsing through his veins. The bald man sneered. "Let go of me, you freak." he said, making his other hand into a fist. Spidergirl tightened his grip. "Last chance before I hurt you." she said, staring the man straight in the eye.
In that moment it was as if time slow down. For a brief moment she felt dizzy and a jolt coursed through her brain. The punch he launched at her was moving so slow it was like an old timey picture show. Catching the punch with ease Spidergirl squeeze and with a crunch the man collapsed to the ground, screaming and cursing as he clutched his hand. With a simple chop she rendered the assaulter unconscious.
She turned to the shivering girl who was trying to catch her wits. "You okay?" she asked as the shellshocked girl nodded.
"W-Who are you?" The only super heroes she heard of were Sage and the Fantastic Four. This was someone completely new.
"I'm Spider-girl...so miss..."
"Michelle... Michelle Gonzales." She introduced herself.
"Right. I don't have a phone so if you can call the police and tell them that some car-jackers were also apprehended on 108th street I'd appreciate it. Thanks." She took to the air again and landed on a building before scaling it. It wouldn't be until much later that she saved someone who was going to have a profound effect life.

It was going into the evening when Spidergirl finally came an end to her patrol. "Man, this is exhausting." She propped herself against one of the cooling units on the roof. 'How does Sage manage to find time to do this?'
"Patrols are tiring for most people when you begin." A voice spoke from above her causing her to jump up and away. The alarmed rookie heroine much to her delight realize standing their in the flesh was Naruto Uzumaki, the Sage hero himself. It took every fiber in her being not to splodge like a fangirl and keep herself composed.
"So the rumors are true. A new suit is in town."
"Yes, well I was expired by your example. I gained this power so I thought I would use it to help people." she answered.
"I'm thankful for that. We really don't need more villains, but be cautious on how you worded things. Just from that one statement I can conclude you're not a mutant and you gained your powers in some sort of way, maybe an accident of sorts."
Spidergirl couldn't help but be a fair bit shocked at the statement. Was it really that obvious to figure out stuff about a hero?
A chuckle escaped from Sage's lips. "Sorry, I didn't mean to alarm you. You're obviously new at this and I can see you're going down a noble path, but you need experience and guidance."
"Could you help me? Tell me what I need to know?" the overtone of pleading was in her voice. Being able to spend time with her crush? How could this not be the idle situation?
"Well I can give you some advice here and there and some training, but mostly what you need is experience. I can't always be around with metas being born everyday and other situations popping up so you'll have to be self-sufficient, but we can at least get you to understand what your current limits are now."
She cocked her head, "How would we do that?"
"Follow me, I know a guy." He said as he lead her to another part of the city. To her surprise they arrived to Oscorp of all places. The person in question was a man in his thirties, lean, with short brown hair and had only one arm.
"Dr. Connors, I need your help with something..." Sage greeted the man.
"What can I help you with?" inquired the doctor.
He waved over Spidergirl. "We got a new suit whose been recently gifted with powers. I was hoping we could run some tests like her strength, speed, and other such things."
Dr. Connors nodded, and stood up from his chair. "Follow me."
They arrived to a chamber to which Spidergirl stood on a platform. From the control room Sage and Connors watched as the weight being processed and distributed to the weight to which she was lifting. It clocked out at two tons before the weight became too much for her.
Throughout the course of the next few hours different aspects were tested. She could run up to 100 miles per hour and her vision was five times better than an average human.
"While nowhere near close to yours, she also has a healing factor."
Spider Girl was not aware that she had a healing factor, but she wasn't going to complain. When all was said and done the heroes bid farewell to Doctor Connors. "At the very least you know what you're capable of now, but keep in mind your powers could grow or change. Meet me at Manhattan Bridge next Sunday noon. We'll began your training then. See you then." He bade her farewell before disappearing in a swirl of leaves.
With that Mary Jane was on Cloud Nine. Just seven days until she saw him again. She couldn't wait.
