Pokémon Konoha

The End

I am sorry, faithful readers, but after all these years, I'm pulling the plug on Pokémon Konoha.

There are two major reasons for this.

First off, as the years have gone by, life's become somewhat difficult, especially as of late. This year has been a very bad one for me. University work's been piling on, and on top of that, my current unemployment has left me very unhappy. I was trying to move out of my parents' house when both my financial and family situation made that impossible, which was disheartening. And now I have to deal with helping family with some major issues. To top it all off, a close relative of mine lost both of his children to Protective Services because he got physical- I won't give you the details, but the point is, they were taken away, and I was very, very close to both. There's a good chance I won't get to see either one before they become adults. And then there's my relationship with my unnamed relative, which is, as you can expect, not exactly stellar after all that's happened. In short, life this last year has been depressing.

Secondly, I was halfway through writing the next chapter for this fic when I realized there was no more joy my writing. Don't get my wrong; I had a lot fun with this story over the years, and it's only been enhanced by your feedback, but lately, it's become a chore. I have to face facts: this story has no direction. I allowed it to get aimless and needlessly complicated, and trying to keep up with that has robbed me of much of the joy I found when started.

However, having said that, I have decided to give this story another shot. I'm going to restart this fic, this time with the story simplified; Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Hinata will still be the focus, but I'll chop off some of the needless sideline stories and make things simpler. I'll try to plan things out better from the start.

I do not plan on making things identical to the way they were; for example, I plan on changing Naruto, Sakura, and Hinata's starting Pokémon, along with everyone's teams.

Thank you again, all my loyal readers, for the years of joy we've had together. I apologize for cutting things off abruptly, but I ultimately feel it had to be done.

Also, if anyone wants, they may continue this fanfic if they feel like it, though on a separate posting. I'll be leaving this one as is. If you have any questions regarding it, feel free to PM me; I'm not the best at answering those, but hopefully I'll improve in that regard.

For those curious, here are some of the storylines/questions I had in this fic that I never finished/answered.

1. For the Team Snake storyline, Orochimaru was going to dying of an unnamed cancer, and was trying to hold off the reaper, eventually by transferring his mind into a new body (like Sasuke's). For that reason, he needed Toneri, who's strange powers would allow him to move Orochimaru's mind to Sasuke's body.

2. Neji's family feud with Hinata stems from a similar situation from the anime; she was kidnapped, and Neji's father rescued her, only to be captured himself and ransomed for the Hyuga Family Key/Mega Stones; however, the family refused, and Neji's father was killed out of spite by his captors.

3. Itachi was going to be revealed to have murdered Ren, Obito's wife (and Itachi's aunt), and stolen her Key Stone; hence why his family has basically un-personed him. Later, I was going to reveal that Itachi had actually been pushed to the act by his Darkrai, which had used its nightmare powers to drive him mad.
