Moon: Hello everyone. Thank you for all of the support that I've gotten throughout this story. I'm so happy that everyone's enjoyed this. ^_^ It was a lot of fun to write. This is the last chapter for 'Lessons of Life'. I am not planning on making a sequel to this, so I'm sorry about that. This is the last class, so please pay close attention. I hope that you enjoy this. I don't own FushigiBoshi No Futago Hime.

Normal POV

Today's the day, the Rose Masquerade. Moon had called for Fine, Rein and Rosalinda as her helpers for today. "Fine, what are you doing? Stop drooling, there's barely enough time as it is. Rein hand me the pink lip gloss, the one with stars in it." Well, it's more like she's helping them through.

"I still don't see why I have to wear make up," Fine argued to her. "I'm wearing a mask anyways."

"It's because you're not suppose to look like yourself," she said applying the lip gloss onto Fine. "Tonight's a great night to dress up. Make sure you apologize too, if you happen to see them. After all, you two were thinking a lot after our talk last time right?" The twins nodded.

"Auntie," Rosalinda started to say. Apparently she's going to be staying with the Headmistress for a while until school starts for her. Fine and Rein got along well with her. In the little time that they've spent together, they've already became such good friends. "Are you-?"

"How many times do I have to tell you, I am only 8 years older than you! Stop calling me Auntie!" Moon said as she accidentally crushed the make up brush.

As the pieces fell, Rosalinda said,"Sorry, it's just that I'm always suppose to address people formally. Anyways, are you sure that this is the dress I'm suppose to wear?" she ask holding up a simple white dress with silver ribbons and light blue roses at the side. It goes really well with her eyes and hair.

"Yeah, is there a problem?"

"It's just so... not frilly."

"Do I look like the type of person to give someone an extremely frilly dress? The only times I use frills is on a ribbon. Fine, keep holding still!"

"It'll look great on you Rosalinda," Rein said, trying to figure out which eyeshadow to use. Of course Rein was allowed to do her own make up because she was good at applying it. "Which one would look better, the blue with green sparkles, or the softer blue?"

"Softer blue will work better," Fine said to her. "Headmistress are you done?"

"Wait. Done! Take a look." Fine looked in the mirror. She was really pretty. It was like the make up was practically made for her and it looks like she likes it too. "Like it?"

"Yep. Now, Rein let's do your hair," Fine said. "Since it's really long I'm sure we can do something really nice with it," she said getting out of the seat for Rein to sit in it.

"Now that I think about, won't Shade and Bright-sama figure out it's us, because of the dresses?" Rein asked as the Headmistress picked up the curling iron. "We are wearing the same dresses as before after all and it's not like either one of them has a bad memory or something. Will it really be alright?"

"It should be, I wasn't done with them then. Now, let's hurry, there's still a lot to do and only an hour left. Rosa, Fine, find the shoes please. It's the most important part of the outfit."

Shade's POV

"Bright are you ready yet? It doesn't take that long to put on clothes."

"Wait a second," He said, as he was fixing his necktie thing. "Shade, you have that gift for Fine don't you?"

"Yes," I said taking out the wrapped box and looking at it. I have to find Fine tonight and explain everything to her. Then I'll confess to her. At this point, I just hope that not that many things go wrong. But since everything has been somewhat better lately, I'm starting to think that not everybody hates me. I put the box back in my pocket.

"Let's go Shade," Bright said finally dressed in his outfit. When we walked into the party hall, we were in shock, but you couldn't see it because of the masks that we had on. It really looked like a flower garden. Beautiful flowers that glew in the moonlight that was pouring out of the large windows, roses of all colors, glimmers of light floating all around. It was like a fairy tale scenery. "Wow..."

"It's amazing," I said. Now it was kind of worth it to go through all those costume changes. Bright and I were walking around and eating stuff for a while, as everyone else in school came in.

Then a voice said,"Welcome everyone to this year's party!" Tanba Rin-sensei? "I hope that you're all enjoying yourselves. Right now, we're going to start a game. Tonight you're going to find out who's the real Headmistress, whoever wins gets a prize!"

The door opened and three girls came in with masks. Two of them were wearing the same dress but in different colors. A knee lengthen dress that had different layers. It was basically a skirt that had different layers of cloth onto of it, but you could see all three layers. Roses were on the waist ribbon and another small lace ribbon was tied into a bow on the side at the chest. The last one was wearing a simpler white gown. All three of them had long white hair. So basically we have to guess who's the real Headmistress out of all three of them?

Hm... I watch them until they went to different parts of the room. The red clothed one seemed to catch my attention. For some reason... she seemed really familiar... I turned to Bright, only to find that he wasn't there. Well, looks like I'm on my own. So I followed her.

Normal POV

While Shade was doing that, Bright had been enchanted by the girl in blue (Rein) and followed her. They're starting to become stalkers aren't they? Anyways, it wasn't just Bright's attention that was taken away, many others are admiring the girl, while some are watching, wondering if she was the one who was actually the Headmistress.

Finally Bright decided to talk with her. "Excuse me," he said as he tapped her shoulder. She turned around to see the Bright held out his hand and then asked,"Will you dance with me?" She said nothing as she took his hand. He just smiled at her as they apporached the dance floor. "You seem familiar somehow."

"Wouldn't you like to know," she said in a light hearted tone. While her exterior was calm and almost child like, she was actually extremely nervous as each second passed. 'What's going on, has Bright-sama figured out that it was me? And if he did figure out then I wonder what he's thinking, what's he going to say, how am I going to respond-'

"Yes, actually I would like to know who you are," Bright said interrupting her from her thoughts.

She gave him a charmingly devilish smile. "But that's no fun at all if I just tell you. You have to find out yourself."

"Then I'll need you by my side for the next few hours," he said. Wow, they're flirting with each other more than their confidence would allow. So let's see what's going on in Bright's mind. 'The steps, the feelings created by the movement, that smile, it seemed familiar but somehow unfamiliar all at the same time. Who is this person?' As the next song started, Bright said,"Well, tell me something about yourself."

"I'm a girl." Looking at Bright's expression, she said with a mischievous smile,"Well you just said say something. You were never specific about what you wanted me to say."

"Fine then, tell me something about your personality."

"I'm often told that I've too girly for words and I enjoy doing things that go along with those lines," she said loud enough for Bright to hear her over the music in a voice not her own.

"You're a very vague person aren't you?" Bright asked, not giving up.

"I'm suppose to be or someone will get mad at me and I enjoy living, so she might kill me if I ruin her fun."

'So does this mean that she's not the Headmistress? These steps are different than I would expect from the Headmistress to begin with, so who is this person then? Why do I feel somehow enchanted to her?' is what Bright was thinking. Ara my, isn't Bright thinking about this a little too hard? After all, there's only one person who he could possibly be interested in at first glance. "Hm... then won't you tell me if-"

"It's quite boring if you're the only one who's asking questions," Rein said interrupting him. "Let's do this. If you can guess who I am, I'll tell you something interesting. If I can guess who you are, then you have to fulfill a request of mine, okay?"

"Fine with me. Shall you go next then?"

"It will be my pleasure. Well then..." As they asked each other questions, let's just say, that it was very interesting that they would say those things in front of someone that they thought they didn't know well. It's very strange how even through they asked each other so many things they don't have any idea who the other was. "Hey, how long are we planning on doing this," Rein ask as they sat on the roof of the building, taking a break from dancing.

"Who knows. Since we're both getting tired of this, how about one more question for each one of us?" She nodded in agreement. "Okay then, is there anyone that you like?"

"Yep there's someone that I really like but... I was really scared by someone, so I couldn't tell him my true feelings. It's difficult when you can't say anything to the person you love, do you understand what I'm saying, Bright?" Bright was too shocked to say anything through. "Oh, my bad. It's just that I wanted to know if you were going to find out."

"It's fine... so what kind of request do you want me to do for you?"

"Tell me something and this has to be answered honestly," she said with an extremely serious look on her face, but you wouldn't know since the mask makes it so you cannot see her eyes. " Do you know who the person you love is?"

"Yes."

"Then I'll be going," she said after a minute of silence, standing up.

"Wait a second Rein!" She stopped. Yeah... actually Bright has known for a while, since Rein was wearing the blue rose brooch that he got her for Christmas. "I...I'm sorry that I didn't notice that Emily had threaten you."

"It's fine, everything's fine now and I'm sorry too, that I wasn't truthful to you. And so now, I going to be completely honest to you about my feelings. I like you, no wait, I think that I might love you." Then with fear in her voice she asked, "So... how do you feel about... me?"

Bright stood up and slowly took off her mask to reveal her blushing red face, then gently kissed her cheek. "It's the same with me, I think I love you," Bright said kissing her again, only this time on the lips. The blushing couple stood there for a while and then Bright realized something. "Here," he said as he handed her a wrapped gift. She took it and slowly opened it to reveal the milky blue necklace.

"It's so pretty..."

"Um.. Rein, since we both like each other... um... would you like to start... dating by any chance?"

"Of course, Bright-sama!"

And with that, Bright and Rein's story came to a nice end didn't it? Before we get onto Fine and Shade's side, shouldn't Moon see what's going to happen with her marriage? In the rose garden that Kureson-san helped raise so carefully was a girl in a white dress that had black ribbon all around, with white roses. She had short black hair which was obviously a wig and she was also wearing a mask. Then a person had crept up behind her, but she had turned and said,"What are you doing? Who are you?"

"I'm terribly sorry, but I'm looking for someone. My fiancee, have you seen her?" This person was also wearing a mask. "She's the Headmistress of this academy."

"No... by the way, I have no say in this, but I don't think that the Headmistress wants to get married to someone, or has any intentions of marrying someone as of now. She complains about it quite a bit to the students every once in a while."

"Oh really?"

"Really." Then he took off the wig and mask and her white top hat fell off. "What are you-?"

"Moon, you really don't remember who I am?" The boy said with a strange smile, tipping his hat to her.

"That hat..." Her eyes widened. "Alex..." She took off his mask. "You're the one who I'm being forced to get married to?" He nodded. Then she hit him. Multiple times. Which is always the perfect way to greet your unwanted fiancee. "Why would you do that?"

"Because I'm in love with you. I have been probably... since we've met." Moon just stopped as she listened to him continue. "Your parents came to me one day while I was in Wonder Academy and begged me to agree to marry you. They wanted you to forgive them by giving you someone that was important to you."

"You're important to me, but it feels like they're trying to do everything except come to me and apologize."

Then Alex suddenly grabbed her hand and put something on her finger. As she stared at ring, Alex said, "I'm doing this because I want to. I can promise you that I won't hurt you, like he did."

"I know, but... Did you put glue on this ring?" She asked, trying to pull it off.

"Nope, I locked it," Alex said cheerfully. "The only way to get it off is by a key the size of your pinky or as I like to call it, our marriage key. I love you Moon."

"You didn't have to say it that suddenly," Moon said blushing. "But.. I love you too." Isn't that sweet? Anyways, onto the last part of the story. Shade and Fine's story. Shade was now talking to Fine instead of following her. Let's see how that's going.

"So you're basically weird?"

"And so are you," Fine said licking cream off her finger. "Who stalks their little sister on her dates? True, I have someone who would do that... but not for every date. Cream puff?" she asked offering him one of the many sweets that she took off the dessert table. They were just talking with each other, but they looked like they were really happy with each others presence.

"Thanks. I haven't eaten anything for a while. Anyways, I only do it because I care about her," he said with his mouth half full of the pastry. "And what about you?"

"I'm me. There's nothing wrong with being weird, that's just someone's opinion."

"You aren't the Headmistress are you?"

She looked at him for a minute not saying anything. "I told you I'm only me," she said walking to the edge of the building and saw two people. They looked so happy. She sighed. "Looks like time's up, but it was fun." Then she turned around and said,"By the way I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I didn't know that you had problems too."

She turned around and continued to walk away, but soon Shade fit the pieces together and said,"Fine."

She stopped immediately and turned around. "Okay, how'd you figure it out?"

"Just a feeling,"he said simply. "Before you go, can't I say that I'm sorry for leaving you in the rain for a couple of hours and being the reason why you basically became an anorexic? Now thinking about it because of me you could have died."

"You could start, but if we both start apologizing to each other, we'll never stop," Fine said slipping off the white wig and mask. "Let's just call it even now, okay? After all, even through you were only trying to help me, I just kept ignoring you and that's not much better than what you did."

"Nah, I've done so many things to you. I'd say I've still got to repay you back by at least half," he said taking his mask off as well and reaching for something in his pocket.

"I already said that it's- oh?" She stopped in mid-sentence as Shade put something in her hands. "What's with this?"

"It an apology present and today marks the day that we met, 7 years ago. Come on, open it. I think you'll like it, even through it's not sweets. Rein helped me chose it through... so if it's too girly for you then-"

"I like it," she said interrupting Shade's ranting. He looked at her who was holding the silver chain that had a single heart charm on it. "It's really pretty. Just like the choker that you gave me. Thanks."

"I could tell you like the choker, since you're wearing it right now," Shade said.

"Yep. Since roses go so well with the dress," she said, with one hand stroking the rose pendent on her neck. She looked from the bracelet to him. "You know Shade. There's something that I wanted to tell you. I like you, not as friends but more than that. I think it's probably because, you were the first person who would accept everything about me."

"Ah, that's a big relief, because I like you too." Shade lead in to kiss Fine. When they broke off, Fine and Shade blushed. "Then are we now boyfriend and girlfriend?"

"I guess so," Fine said smiling at him. She took his hand and said, "Let's go. The Headmistress has something that she needs to announce." Shade continued to smile at her and their fingers were intertwined with each other.

"Okay, many of you are wonder, who the heck this guy next to me is," Moon said as she pointed to Alex who was smiling innocently. "He is my fiancee, and we're getting married. Since he's the Principal of Royal Wonder Academy, we're going to be combining the schools."

"The school that you will come to next year will be this one and the new name of this Academy is not Crystal Academy but Royal Wonder Academy," Alex explained. "There will be an official announcement that will be given to all the parents soon. And for those of you who are wondering, yes I am around your age. So is she," He said pointing at Moon.

"Anyways," she said after hitting him. "As the last part of tonight, I will announce the two people who managed to figure out that two of the people weren't me. Shade, Bright-"

"Oh, those two are cute," Rosalinda said looking at Bright and Shade, appearing suddenly besides the soon to be married couple. "I want to go out with one of them."

Moon hit her on the head and said, "No way. It took me this entire school year to get them together and I don't want more problems. As I was saying, here," she said throwing them each a stone with a milky white color. "Whoever touches it, it will reveal their true feelings for you." The music started again and Shade handed the gem to Fine as Bright handed it to Rein. The gem glew a bright pink. The color of love.

Bright and Rein started to dance to a new song. "Bright-sama, do you think that we'll be together for a long time?" Rein asked him.

"I wouldn't know. I can said this through, after everything that we've been through this year, I don't think that there's anything that could break us apart," Bright said reminiscing about the past year. "I can only promise the present, because I don't know what'll happen."

"As long as you don't make the same mistakes like you did before, then we'll have a better chance on being together for a long time," Rein said smiling at Bright. "Maybe even eternity."

"Then I'll promise you this, I will be with you as long as you want to be with me, okay?"

"Then for now, that'll be good enough. We swear it on this dance," Rein said. Their dance was beautiful and filled with emotions that no one would be able to forget.

"Shade, you know, you have to get married to me no matter what," Fine said as she looked at the pretty pink colored stone. "After all, can't we have a happy ending too? Not one that just lasts for a few months, but one that lasts for an eternity. An eternity of love and happiness, it sounds strange through since we're only 15."

"Who knows. Life is strange and twists and turns in usual ways. Maybe one day we'll end up in a chapel wearing white," Shade said simply with a poetic aura around him. "I can't promise the future but I can promise that for now, we'll be together."

"Then that's good enough for me," she said smiling. They kissed to swear their promise.

~Normal POV~ Three years later~

The last part of this childhood is over, the last moments of being a kid are disappearing quickly. Today is graduation and after today, everyone will be considered an adult. It's sad, but we must move forward. Even though the funnest moments of our live is gone, that doesn't mean that the happiest moments have disappeared as well.

"Rein/Fine! We actually did it," The twins said as they held their diplomas and hugged each other. After all, there were shaky moments when they thought that it was hopeless for them to become Queens. But everything turned out fine and it's the same for their love lives as well.

Shade and Bright have been faithful boyfriends to them for the past 3 years. Even though there were ups and downs, both couples still love each other with all their heart. In fact, they're planning something special for tonight. But before that, someone's wedding needs to get done and over with, then a last word for the graduates.

"Fine, Rein," Moon said as they helped her prepare. "It's unnecessary for me to say this but, those two are not bad people." Fine and Rein looked at each other, not knowing where she was going with this. "I hope that you two will be happy with them, and one day be able to stand by them wearing a pure white dress."

"We hope so too," they said smiling.

"But I might want to wear white shorts instead of a dress," Fine said. Really, her dislike of long skirts hasn't changed a bit. Rein and Moon giggled at little at her remark.

"Well, if you two need anything after tonight, then just contact me and I'll help. After all, you made these years so much fun. Oh and if Bright and Shade need to see you later tonight, just go with it."

"Why? What's going to happen? Are they going to break up with us, or say that they have someone else?" Then Rein started to imitate Bright while switching back to her voice once in a while. "Rein, I'm very sorry, but I actually have someone else that I love more. Wait, what? Who is it Bright-sama? She is much more elegant and prettier than you are, and by far a much better dance-"

"Rein, it's something happy, not sad!"

"Ah." Rein snapped back to reality. "Sorry, force of habit. When do you have to start going down the alter?"

"Please, just get into your other dress," Moon said as Fine was slapping herself in the face.

"What kind of good thing is it anyways?" Fine asked, already changed into her white and pink rose bridesmaid dress. "Are they going to get us a mountain of sweets or something?" Even though they're older, they really haven't changed at all. The only aspect of them that has really changed is their maturity level.

"I would say, but I want to see how everything will turn out." Moon stood up in her white lace and ribbon dress and said,"Well, it's probably time that we started. There's a huge party, afterwards and people must be looking forward to that."

"Nee, Moon. When I get married will you design the wedding dress," Rein asked, dressed in a white and blue rose gown. "This dress is really pretty too. Can I keep it?" Moon nodded at both questions and Rein smiled even bigger. "Oh, and before I forget, there's someone who wanted to see you, remember Fine?"

"Yeah, they said that they were going to attend the wedding if they had time," Fine said. A gentle knock was heard. "Come in."

As the door opened Moon's eyes widen. A woman with silver eyes and besides her, a man with blue eyes. "Moon, it's been a while," Twilight said simply. "Alex sent me a wedding invitation. You must be happy to get a kind husband." Moon looked at her wondering why she was here. "So I thought that you would want this." She held a box that contain a very beautiful wedding dress. "Everyone in our family's suppose to wear it when we get married."

Moon looked from her sister to the dress. "No, I'm not wearing that."

"Why not? It's the dress that-"

"That is meant for the princess of Dreamer Star when she gets married. I don't have that title anymore, so I don't want to wear it. Besides, I've decided a long time ago that I would wear a dress that I made," Moon said standing. "Thanks anyways. Fine, Rein, let's go. It's already 5 minutes past schedule."

"Hey Moon, is it really okay to not wear that dress?" Fine asked. "Your sister looked upset."

"She understands, that I'm already over it. Maybe next time we met, we can be actual sisters again, but that is a story for another day." The wedding finished up quickly. The party had already started and all students and graduates were enjoying themselves.

"Everyone, before the night's over, both of us would like to say something," Moon said. "Please listen."

Then Alex continued, "Everyone graduating, congratulations. We hope that you can continue to grow even more into very mature and reliable leaders. The hardships and challenges start now, so good luck. If you ever need anything, please feel free to come back here where you've grown and started to mature."

"One last thing," Moon said. "The final piece of advice that we have for you is: There is still a future. No matter what happens, no matter how bad things are looking, there is still a tomorrow. The future can always be changed, so go on believing in tomorrow. Believe that you control route of your future, nothing is set in stone until it happens, so don't give up."

Then at the same time both the Headmaster and Headmistress said, "Good luck everyone and thank you for all the wonderful memories." As everyone clapped, Shade asked Fine to come outside with him and Bright lead Rein to the dance floor. Both boys had something important to say.

Bright and Rein were dancing in the center of the room. Their dance was truly magical and beautiful. "Rein, isn't this nostalgic? It was during that dance three years ago that we promised to each other that we could be together for as long as we could," Bright said. "Do you remember?"

"Yes. It was the same night where we became a couple. That was the happiest moment of my life," Rein said smiling."I'll never forget that moment and I'll never forget that dance."

"Then let's see if I can make an even happier moment for you, or maybe even two moments." Rein looked at him in confusion. Then he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. "Rein, I want to be with you, for as long as possible. I love you Rein, more than you could ever imagine, so will you spend the rest of your life, with me as husband and wife?"

"Bright..." For a split second, it almost looked like Rein was going to decline, but then she smiled at him and said, "Of course. I want to be with you Bright for as long as we can be together. I love you after all." In the middle of the dance floor, they kissed. A marriage promise was made for the pair who loved to dance. They'll be able to dance even more beautiful dances that resemble their love for each.

Shade lead Fine to the garden, so he could say what was meant for her ears only. "Fine, we been together for three years, haven't we?" Fine nodded. "It feels so much longer than that. Fine, were you happy during these three years?"

"Yep, since I was able to spend them with you. Weren't you happy too Shade? After everything that happened, we were still able to have a lot of really happy memories," Fine said. "And a bunch of them happened in this garden. It's nice to be able to visit it, one last time."

"Fine, let's make one last memory for this school, before we have to be adults." Fine looked at him and wondered if this was the thing that Moon was telling her about. "Fine, it feels like we went through a mountain, then a maze of flames just to be able to able to figure out our feelings for each other and then we finally ended up at this point. Do you remember what I said to you at that party three years ago?"

"You said that you were sorry for turning me into an anorexic? Or was it the time that you said that you promised to be with me for the present?"

"I'm talking about the present part," he said. "Now, I want to ask you something. I'm saying this because I love you. Will you spend the rest of our future with me Fine?" he asked with a ring in his hand.

"I want to be with you no matter what else we have to go through, I love you too and I want to continue loving you for as long as possible." Shade smiled at Fine as she smiled back. He slide the ring on her finger and they kissed. Tonight two promises were made to last as long as they could. Each were sworn with a kiss. These two couples, had endured so much just to become clear of their feelings. Finally, they will get the ending they've longed for, the happiness that they thought they would never get. But this was all according to fate. After all, they've always been meant for each other.

Love is bittersweet, a mysterious thing. Whatever happens there is one thing that you can be happy about and that is that you were able to experience it. Everyone will find who they are destined for eventually, so just wait. It'll take a little time, I can't guatantee your happy ending, but I can swear that you will find that happiness, so please don't let the past chain you. It already happen and it's not going to come back unless you allow it to.
