To start the story let's go back to when it all started. The hurt, the pain, the tears. Yes, on that day is when gears started to move. And on that day, they were shattered into pieces. The first girl was strong and happy, she was always playing sports and always full of energy. Hating dresses and loving sweets, a rather tomboy-ish type of girl.

A girl with her red hair in pigtails and her ruby eyes had tears in them. "What? Why?" The words stung her heart that was beginning to break.

The blond haired boy with similar ruby eyes, looked at her apologetically, "I'm sorry, but I don't want to go out with a tomboy anymore. Good bye. " He walked away from the crying girl.

The girl just ran, away from the truth, away from everything. At that moment, she wanted to disappear. She wanted to cry and scream, she wanted someone to be there to stop the tears. There was no one. She just kept running. She didn't know how to describe the turmoil in her heart, all she knew was that she wanted it all to stop. To her the minutes felt like hours, even though only a short time had passed, for her the pain felt like it's already been there for days. Her tears made her heart feel heavy and her heart was screaming with pain. She felt so hurt, so vulnerable, so angry, so betrayed. She couldn't think straight. With tears blocking her vision, she put her hands to her ears and finally fell to her knees. She didn't want to hear anything. She only wanted to hear the sweet lies, not the cruel truth.

When she finally stopped crying, she stood up, feeling extremely fragile, and walked back girl looked as though as she could break into a million pieces if you touch her. Her eyes puffy from the tears, and her arms quivering. She looks like she was afraid of something. She looked like she was shattered. She looked as pale as a ghost. Excusing herself from dinner, she lied on her bed and slept with tears running down her cheeks an onto her pillow, not even bothering to change out of her clothes. Afraid of truth and betrayal, more tired than anyone has ever been, and wanting all the pain to stop more than anything. Have you ever seen such a sad sight?

Now, the second child was different from the first. She always smiling and cheerful, unlike the other was only good at dance but always in a good mood. The opposite of the other, loving dresses and jewelry. Though she loved sweets , she was more girly than the other girl who was her twin sister.

"Sorry, but honestly I don't think that I like you anymore. So this is goodbye," the dark haired boy bluntly said.

"But, that's just..." The boy left the girl with long, light blue hair. Tears fell from the girl's eyes down to the floor as she watched the boy walk away, unable to say anything. At that moment, something in her heart had suddenly broken. She broke just as easily as her sister, if not easier.

She was shaking and fell down to her knees, tears overflowing. She felt like she couldn't stand. She wanted to hide, to curl up into a ball and never come out. To go somewhere where no one would find her, however no place existed. The pain in her heart had hurt more than anything, like something had been ripped out of her and shattered to the ground. She wanted it all to stop, the hurt, the tears, everything. She wanted it to be a nightmare, to wake up and see him with her, holding her hand just like always. She wanted to be lied to and be told that this wasn't reality. Her wishes weren't granted though. The tears and pain were still there. It was still the painful reality where she was already awake and couldn't stand. She was all alone. Her heart was still broken.

She stood but she was still shaking, with tears still dripping down her face. She ignored the world as she went into her shared bedroom. She sat on her bed and got her pillow and cried into it like there was no tomorrow. Her heavy heart was crying. Were there no end to the tears? To the pain? Her always bright eyes had turned emotionless as she continued to cry. Her smile was gone. She was broken, and looked as if there was no hope. She looked as she was dead. As if she wanted to lose her life and never find it again. As if she wanted to go to her eternal rest right now. What she needed now more than anything was hope, the hope to stand strongly, the hope to believe that a happy ending will come, and the hope that the tears will stop flowing, but there was none. Have you ever seen anyone more broken?

Two broken hearted girls. They cried their hearts out that day. They had loved those two so much. Will they be able to love someone again? Or will they be too afraid of getting hurt? Now, we'll go back to the present, around 7 years later.

Fine's POV

"Run, Rein!" I was practically dragging her as I ran to class. We absolutely CANNOT BE LATE! As students of Crystal Academy, we princesses are trained and polished to become wonderful Queens. Meaning that we cannot be late no matter what she may not look like it but the Headmistress gets mad really easily!

"I can't run anymore! Wait don't we still have 10 minutes before class started?"

"If we walk, we won't have enough time! So run!"

We burst through the doors and fixed our appearances as we walked to our seats. That was close, only three minutes before the bell rings. "Fine, Rein you two were running pretty hard today. It's rare for you two to be late now. Did you not sleep well last night," Lione asked.

"It wasn't that we didn't sleep well, we slept so well that we didn't want to wake up," Rein admitted.

"It's really mysterious. You two always so mysterious! A year after you two came here, you won't late anymore and yet now you're late again. You two are really mysterious princesses," Chiffon said. "Very mysterious."

"How many times do we have to tell you? It's not mysterious princesses, it's twin princesses," we both said to her.

"But it really is strange," Sophie said. "I wonder why today you two were late."

"Well, there's not much use in wondering about it. What happened happened. That's all there is to it," I said. Then the bell rang and everyone calmed down.

Tanba Rin sensei ran in so she was fast enough to run on the ruler and reach the top of the desk. "Class, good morning."

"Good morning, Tanba Rin-sensei," we all said back to her.

"Before we start class this morning, I would like to announce that starting today we will have some students joining us from Royal Wonder Academy for boys. Now, please come in." Around 15 boys came in, but two in particular caught my eye. A boy with blond hair and red eyes and another with dark purple hair and matching eyes. I felt my hands clutching into fists. Why are those two here?

"Tanba Rin-sensei, if I may explain this situation," a woman with a top hat in her white hair said. Her black eyes remained calm as she said, "It seems that our students are confused." Now, why is the Headmistress here?

"Then please."

"First boys, take a seat where ever there is space." After the boys were seated she continued," Girls, this academy teaches you what is needed in order to become a proper Queen and teaches you what you wish to be taught. Most of you in order to become a Queen will need to be married first. This program is to help you learn to how to communicate with boys. If it is successful this year, we might have the boys staying with us permanently. Do you all understand?"

"Yes Headmistress," we all said in reply.

"Then if you have any problems please address them to me during breaks. Boys, demerits are what we give out when someone breaks a rule. 5 is a talk with the Headmistress and 10 is a detention. Please be aware of your actions at all times and if you ask me what age I am, you're dead. Now, I'm going to go before two certain people get mad at me. "

She'll never tell anyone her real age will she? Her white hair makes you think old, but if you look at her face it's no different than mine or Rein's. It's strange. "By the way, Fine, Rein, today's afternoon tea will include black tea and cookies."We both nodded at her in slight confusion and she soon left. The only time we have tea with the Headmistress is when... oh no.

"Now, on that subject, all boys will be assigned a partner to help them get used to the first few weeks of school. Let's see, starting from the front right to the back left, Shade's partner will be Fine and Bright's partner will be Rein."

What the-? I'm not sure who this isn't going to end well for, us or the Headmistress. After Tanba Rin-sensei finished assigning all the partners, the lessons finally started, but I wasn't listening to this morning's lessons at all, I can't focus. Even after everything, I'm still like this.

"Why are you two following us," we asked Shade and Bright.

"Because we have no idea where anything is and you two are suppose to be our guides," Shade said. "At least that's what Tanba Rin-sensei and your Headmistress said." Even through I hate to admit it, he's right and if the Headmistress found out about this, it wouldn't be good. After all we're suppose to be perfect girls who are ready to become Queens.

"Alright then, Rein, we should hurry because I just know that this conversation's going to take a while." If she's prepared tea then it always takes a long time.

"Are you going to run? It's only about three more minutes away so it wouldn't take long even if we walk," she said, making it obvious that she didn't feel like running after this morning. "So what do you plan on doing?"

"I'm not sure if the other two will be able to keep up, so anyways what do you think we should do?" My running abilities are faster than most boys, at least that's what a classmate told me after Rein and I made it to class within 2 minutes.

"Nothing, we're already here. See? Can you two just wait outside for a bit?"

"It's fine. Take as much time as you need," Bright said. Oh, how I want to hurt him just like how he hurt me. It makes me almost sick to just see that he's doing well and it's incredibly annoying to hear his voice. He's the reason why I changed into someone like this. "By the way, it's really good to see the two of you again in good health."

"Then we'll be going. Come on Fine. The sooner we go in, the sooner we can finish this." I nodded as I opened the door and we both walked in.

"Fine, Rein, I knew you two would be coming soon. Would you like some tea or cookies? But of course, you're not here for something like that. This room is sound proof, so you can yell as loudly as you want."

Then we both said, "Headmistress, why did you pair us up with those two? Why?"

"You all were from the same star and seem know each other well. Also, your schedules were similar as well. With all these reasons, it's only natural that you all were to be paired up with each other. Rein as representative of the school news channel, you were more than qualified by your club members. Fine, for you the volleyball, basketball, soccer, and dance clubs had selected you. Only the best students who are able to maintain their grades and do well in their extra curricular activities were selected, so this should be a good thing for you."

"But I'm only in the cooking club. I've always said no to all those other clubs."

"What I hear from Milky, you're doing well in your cooking club, so it doesn't really matter. Going off topic, but why is it that you won't join any of the sports clubs? You've got talent."

"No, it's just... not me." No, that isn't me anymore. I just love to cook and that's it.

"Headmistress, do we have to do this? There are other people who are more than willing to," Rein said.

"Yes. I said this earlier, if this goes well, both of the schools will be combined into one and that means that you should at least tolerate them."

"But-"

"It seems that we haven't taught you this lesson yet, so I'm going to tell you it now. Not everything will be easy when you're appointed as Queen, you'll have to be able to look at the entire problem and be able to decide what is the best thing to do for your you are happy or not doesn't matter. Learn what to do about a situation now, so you don't lose everything in the end. "

"We understand. We'll be more than happy to guide those two," we both said. After all, what other choice do we have?
