So here's a little drabble for the Quotes Remix Challenge on xoxLewrahxox's forum!

Quotes Remix Challenge

Write a fic of 100, 500 or 1,000 words based on or including a quote from any other forum member's stories.

I was inspired by those two quotes by the amazing and unique Xx starlight-moon xX:
"There is something strangely fractured about moments like these," from Dancing.

"The future!" she cries, one voice in four," from Carousel.
(I imagined the "four" to be Rodolphus, Rabastan, Bellatrix and Barty, though this is very Bellatrix-centric)

It is as though her whole life came down to that very moment, that choking, frantic, fanatic second when Alice shrieks and writhes and then goes silent.

This end feels terrifyingly like a beginning – the breath-taking familiarity of the hunt run through by this blade-sharp awareness of a last time, of a choice that rather feels like fate, the very fate of the faithful: instead of backing off, racing forward.

Into the arms of prison, and hope.

"The future", she gasps, fractured, shattered between horror and ecstasy, and she almost thinks her Mark is burning, one last time.

A call.
