Summary: Alex Rider reflects on his ten biggest fears.

Disclaimer: I am not poking fun at anyone who really does have these fears, however I thought they would be fears that Alex might also have.

Alex Rider reflects on his ten biggest fears.

10. I'd have to say my tenth fear, going in order from least phobic to most phobic, would have to be Wolf. That guy can be seriously scary when he hasn't had his caffeine. I'm sure you know this, Fox, because you were in the unit with him. Didn't you see him that one morning when there was no coffee and Eagle decided to play a prank on him? Bad Eagle, very, very, bad. Very bad. For extra credit: Wolfaphobia. No, seriously, anthropophobia – that's what its scientific name is.

9. My ninth fear would definitely have to be snakes. Now please don't let anyone else know, because otherwise I'd be the laughing stock of the school. You'll probably think this one is weird too, because I know you don't fear snakes. But seriously, I think I fear snakes because they can come anywhere! Come on, even Eagle screamed when that one snake slithered in our kitchen. I'll stop now.

8. Antlophobia: Fear of floods. This fear is justified, I fear. I don't want to go into detail right now, but let's just say Ian Rider – my uncle – learned that he should keep a much closer watch on me.

And hey, in my defense, I was five.

7. Athazagoraphobia: This is more Tom's fear than mine, but he insisted I put it on the list. You saw the fight, but you thought it was over something else. Remember? It means fear of being forgotten. Okay, technically I am afraid of being forgotten by Eagle when we go to the store, but that hardly qualifies as a fear of being forgotten.

Hell, half the time when Eagle leaves the store, he forgets his groceries. I'd say my fear is justified.

6. Arrhenphobia: I don't really have a fear of men but I do have a fear of some men. This fear will be used up on Eagle. You live with Eagle, so I think it's enough said right there.

5. Aulophobia: Fear of flutes. Okay, it sounds weird, but I've had to listen to Eagle play a flute, and I think that is more than enough said on this subject.

Oh, and I've had to listen to Tom Harris play the flute, too, but that was for a dare, so no more on that subject…

4. Amnesiphobia: Fear of amnesia. Now this one I actually do have a fear of. I really would be SOL if I got amnesia. I suspect Eagle would tease me, Wolf and Tom would team up to blackmail me, you would try and rescue me, and Blunt would attempt to use me.

3. Amaxophobia: Fear of riding in the car. No, I don't really have a fear of riding in the car. I just have a fear of riding in the car with Wolf or with Eagle. Or with Wolf, Eagle, and Tom Harris in the car at the same time.

2. Dromophobia: fear of crossing streets. Not all streets, you know I don't mind walking or driving; it's just that one street that's right in front of Royal & General bank. Specifically, the one where I got shot at.

You know, I really hope a substitute doesn't grade these, Fox.

Eicophobia: Fear of home surroundings. I really do have this, but don't worry, it's only when Eagle's over.

Oh, wait, I forgot, Eagle lives there!
