Guilty

What were Mrs. Jones and Alan Blunt's reactions when Alex was shot out side Royal and General? So this is a tiny one shot where Alex got shot. I hope you like :)

Mrs. Jones looked out her window watching as MI6 youngest agent got back from maybe his hardest yet. Did she feel guilty that she sent a child no more then 14 years old in the world of spies, yes. Did she want to stop it from happening? Yes. But Blunt would always ignore the way the teens eyes became more serious. He would always ignore the way Alex walked into the room, looking for an escape rooms just because he was afraid of getting hurt. How could she let this happen?

She shook her head. She had to get back to work. She picked up her pen and starting doing a descriptive writing about Alex's mission before she heard cries coming from the window. Mrs. Jones went to the window and her eyes widen in shock. She saw a sniper on top of the building across from the Royal and General. But what was more hunting was the teen spy laying down, face to the sky.

Mrs . Jones picked up her cell phone. She jumped down the stairs faster then humanly possible. Finally someone answered. "Blunt. Alex was shot outside MI6." Her breath was coming out in short gasps.

"I know. I called the ambulance." Blunt hung up without a word more. She threw the phone at the wall in anger. Her mind was going a mile a minute. "How could I let this happen? No child deserves this."

Finally she made it to the front doors. She pushed people at of the way to get to Alex. "Please, please, please be ok."

She yelled, "MI6 out of the way! Let me in!" Everyone parted. She finally saw Alex. He was gasping for breath. His hand was over the wound. Mrs. Jones froze for a second. She couldn't bear it if Alex died. She sat down next to Alex and put her hands over the wound. Alex face was scrunched up in confusion. He was shaking.

Mrs. Jones tried to say comforting words but she soon felt tears coming out of her eyes. Alex was barely breathing, he was going to die if help didn't come soon.

Alex smiled a little and Mrs. Jones heard Alex mutter, "Mum?" Mrs. Jones couldn't take it, she burst into tears. It wasn't like her to cry, but Alex reminder her of her children. She couldn't bare to see Alex hurt. It was like seeing her own child dieing right in front of her eyes. She was still pressing the wound down. Her hands were covered in blood. She felt someone touch her shoulder and she jumped slightly.

Blunt was speaking but she only got some of it. "Paramedics... hospital. Let go." Blunt eyes didn't even look at the child. He couldn't bare to see the site. Mrs. Jones got the message. He let go of Alex reluctantly. Alex tried to grab for something, maybe her arm? Alex looked at Mrs. Jones. Mrs. Jones felt her soul melt. Alex face was filled with pain, but the thing that scared her the most was how scared he looked. Alex never showed any emotion, especially fear. If Alex was scared, she knew that it was bad.

"Blunt, we can't do this to him anymore." Mrs. Jones whispered. She was still crying. She didn't dare wipe her eyes.

"I know." Blunt's words were filled with guilt. For once Alan let his emotion show. One silent tear slid down his face. He couldn't bare to see Alex like this. He closed his eyes and walked away. Mrs. Jones stared at her hands. Alex blood was all over her. It was like Alex's life was in the hands of Tulip Jones. Mrs. Jones felt guilt all over her. She made this happen and she was going to fix it, one way or another.

So what do you think? I really poured my heart and soul into this and I really need reviews to tell me if this is good. This is my first ever one shot so be nice! Thanks for reading!
