Chapter Two: The Second,Witness:

Hadrian watched the court with cold eyes, so many here seemed to think he was guilty of what he did. Yet his friends would show the court he was not the monster they thought. He watched as Ron walked up to the stand and take a seat after he made the oath. He was tall and lean like his father with flaming red hair and blue eyes. He looked pale and shocked and Hadrian started to worry but squashed those feelings down. The evidence was not solid as far as he was concerned and there was nothing Ron could say was there? They were good friends after all, and friends never told on each other.

"Mr. Weasley." Ted began.

"Just Ron sir, my father is Mr. Weasley." Ron said, "I maybe called that in school but my father deserves that honor here."

"Ron what is your relationship with Hadrian Potter?" Ted asked.

"He is my best mate, thought I knew him well I did." Ron replied, "he helped buy these robes though I do work for the Potter family."

"What do you do for them?"

"Steward in training, I know that sounds shocking as I never showed much interest in school, fact is school bores me, I wanted to go in an apprenticeship instead of Hogwarts so I could help out my family. Becoming friends with Hadrian and proving to lord Potter I could be trained as Steward, well that means I don't have to be an Auror, I know that was expected but I don't really want that, mum and dad support me."

"So you work for the Potters?" Ted asked.

"Yes sir, I do, and they have been very good to me, I don't understand how or why Hadrian would do what he did." Ron replied, "he was always good to me."

"You were the one that found the body were you not?" Ted prodded.

"Yes sir, I did not touch him, and called for help, I still cannot understand how Hadrian could do this and why."

"Solicitor Vance?"

Hadrian wanted to curse Ron, he was betraying him after all he had done. True the robes were for him as payment for work done but Ron owed him! He sat fuming at his former Hadrian would never have done what Ron was doing now, betraying him! Yes he knew that Ron had found the body but had not known he blamed him for the crime! How could he, he thought he knew his best mate but did not. It was just the same as when Harry blamed him for things he clearly had done as a child, it was what caused Harry to be disowned after all and he himself made the heir.

Torus looked over at his former brother, the pain of his lies coming back. How he had pleaded with his father had asked to swear on whatever it took to not be disowned for something Hadrian had done. His father refused to listen and disowned Harry on the spot and dropped him off with his godfather that very evening. Torus remembered being adopted and how he loved his new father and mother and found out what true love of parents was all about. Then Hadrian had done what he did and destroyed his father in a senseless act.

James Potter blamed himself for what he had done. He knew Harry was innocent but knew if he did not get him to safety that Hadrian would kill him. He should have warned others about his dangerous son but he had held back and now, now Hadrian was a murdering monster with a heart as dark as night. Hector was a good bright boy and after Hadrian had been arrested James had disowned Hadrian and gave Hector not only the heritage for the Fleamount family but did so for the Potter. James held Lily's hand as she was feeling much the same as he did. Vance walked up to speak to Ron.

"Why do you say that Hadrian killed Sirius?" Vance asked.

"Because I found the weapon, it was Hadrian's the tests came back and proved it." Ron replied.

"Could you have not taken it and used it yourself?" Vance probed.

"No ma'am, I could not have, it was an heirloom tied directly to Hadrian, he bonded it to himself so only he could use it."

"Thank you, no further questions." Vance said.

Hadrian sat smoldering and only wished Ron a painful death, the evidence was against him as it was, he had committed the crime but he was the boy who lived and had a right to do what he wanted to the world. He would see Ron pay and everyone who testified against him. Ron left the stand and went to sit with his parents, parents that Hadrian in his black heart was going to destroy then destroy Ron in the most painful way he could.

I know it's been a few years since I updated this but felt now was a good time to do so. No Ron is not a bad guy here, his fault is picking the wrong person to be a friend of. Hadrian is as evil as they come I am afraid. James and Lily are not bad here at all, flawed and prone to mistakes? Yes, but not bad or evil at all.
