He is a slave to the darkness. Invisible chains bind him, and no matter how hard Terra tugs, they won't let go.

The Darkness feels like cool fire on his skin, like a serpent breathing icy fire down his neck. Everything is a little darker, a little colder, and emptier. His only company is the serpent himself, hands behind his back, always smirking.

Terra closes his eyes, and feels tears streaming down his face. He never knew it'd end up like this. This is all the wrong-doings of a naive young boy who tried to save his friends. But now he is a man, and he must fight.

He thinks of her face, her sweet smile and azure eyes. He remembers how she'd lace her tiny fingers against his, and pull him close. He never got to say goodbye.. or tell her how much he cared. The last time he saw her, he yelled. But that was because of the Darkness.. he was ashamed of it.

"Aqua… I'll find you somewhere. I'll keep on trying." He was a prisoner to his thoughts, and trapped inside of his own heart. Stuck, and nowhere to go.

He was aware of the mistakes that he had made in his life, but it was time to set them right. And Terra would fight until his last breath escapes his lips, for her.

Well, this was depressing, wasn't it? It was supposed to be a Terra/Aqua story, because I was listening to Somewhere by Within Temptation and it reminds me of them so much…
I actually wrote this story while listening to that song, so if you want to set the ~mood, listen to it! Hah.

So this is a drabble, ish, thing. I don't know. Just review, please! Heh.
