Jemima smiled sweetly as her Tomfriend, Alonzo sauntered towards her. She quickly smoothed down her soft mahogany and black fur.
"Hi Lonzie," she chirped happily.
Alonzo didn't return the smile.
"Hi Jemima."
Jemima frowned. Something was up.
"Lonzie, what's wrong?"
She reached forward and took his paws. He pulled them quickly away.
"Jem, I'm sorry but this isn't working. It's over."
A feeling of complete shock filled the small calico Queen. She felt numb. This wasn't happening.
"W-what?"
Alonzo just shrugged.
"Sorry. But I-"
Suddenly, a tall Abyssinian Queen strutted over. She traced the fur pattern on Alonzo's shoulder with her long claws.
"You ready to go, Lonz?" Cassandra purred seductively.
The harlequin Tom nodded.
"Bye Jemima."
And with that, the two cats walked away. Jemima stood for a moment, dumbstruck. Alonzo had just left her…..for Cassandra. Her pale baby blue eyes filled with tears, some catching on her long eyelashes. She couldn't move.
"Jem? Are you okay?"
Admetus stood in front of her, looking very concerned. He put one gray and brown arm around her small, slightly shaking shoulders.
"Jem?"
Jemima finally broke down, crying hard, rough sobs. They shook her small frame, worrying Admetus. He led the sobbing Queen over to the TSE1 and sat with her. He wrapped his arms tight around her, rocking back and forth.
"Shhh. It's okay Jemi."
Jemima sniffed and started rubbing Admetus's now wet fur. Admetus smiled, slightly confused.
"Jemi, what are you doing?"
Jemima blushed dark pink against her light chestnut cheeks.
"I-I got you fur wet. I-I'm sorry."
Admetus laughed quietly, hugging her. He suddenly felt feather light kisses on his neck. He was surprised and a little confused.
"Jem, what're you doing?"
Jemima was now kissing his cheeks.
"Just humor me," she whispered in his ear.
Her warm breath tickled his fur and Admetus smiled. He pressed his lips firmly against Jemima's, enjoying the bliss of the moment. He had always wanted to do this. He had always loved Jemima, but most cats saw it as a brother-sister type of love. Jemima shivered delightedly as Admetus' paws traveled up her back. She had always had a crush on his, but most cats saw it as a harmless kittenhood crush. They both broke away for a breath.
"I love you Addie," Jemima murmured.
"I love you too Jemi," Admetus whispered in her ear before claiming her lips again.
