A Description

A tall and skinny figure is lying on the floor in a cheap motel room. His 'people-shooting' red cap is gently perched on the pillow, where it laid there, silent and motionless, like its owner. Alcohol-stained clothes, which were once so new—remember when he was still a child?—the boy's face is sallow under the sparse light, eyes full of emptiness, lips ash grey, coated with dust. He is fading away; the only hint of life now is his red hair, fiery and angry.

The boy gives away a sign of movement; he moves his hand and places it tiredly on his stomach, moaning about somebody called Maurice 'plugging' him. He is dying, he imagines, from lack of blood, leaking out on the floor, the pigment of blood complementing his hair. Feeling slightly confused, he gives out a fake groan again, and drags himself to the abominable bathroom. The stench is even worse in there.

'I'm dying,' he announces to the broken mirror, studying the brokenness of his body and soul, 'He punched me real good, but I'm gonna shoot him back.' He then visualizes himself standing in front of his new enemy—with blood leaking from his guts—pointing a gun and shooting him. He imagines him going back to his room, accompanied with a girl bandaging his wounds.

The boy smiles faintly. He lights up a cigarette, drags it for a few seconds, and thinks of his brother. His poor dead brother, with hair even redder then his, but less affected by the world's turning. It makes him depressed, but again, what was new? Everyone would have liked Allie, he recalls, he had the brightest hair you've ever seen, and he was a wizard. People with red hair are supposed to get mad easily, but he never got sore with anyone, and he had very red hair.

The boy ventures to the window, without knowing what he will expect to see. The room's view is surprisingly spectacular. He can clearly see what others are doing in their hotel rooms.

'Goddam perverts.' Holden Caulfield says.

A/N: Now I realize that yadda yadda yadda, this isn't exactly anything new or creative and it's just an expansion on description of Chapter 14, but it was just a doodle thingy I found in my Grade 8th notebook and I typed it nicely in MS Word and...yeah, decided to post it on the net. Seemed like a good idea at the time :/
