What did Holden do after he got the boot from Pencey Prep? This short story explains what Holden did with his life, 10 years after the main story. I wrote this for a writing assignment in my English class in high school, I was an angsty 16 year old at the time of writing this so it was pretty easy for me to get into the character of Holden.

Have you ever wondered what Ernie is really like? Is he truly a phony, or is it all a show he puts on to be successful? I wrote this for my English class this year. The assignment was to write a scene in another character's perspective, and I thought maybe Ernie would be interesting- we only really hear Holden's judgement the entire scene.
