How to Write a Story like Dan Brown

A/N: Welcome to the fifth installment of the How to Write a Story like series. This one is about Dan Brown and the predictability of the plot.

Step 1: Have a murder begin the story, just so that it is dramatic and it is TEH exciting! Have the villain ask for something that the victim refuses to give the location of.

Step 2: Your hero is coincidentally there at the same time. If they are not, use some sort of conspiracy theory to get them from Point A to Point B quickly! It doesn't matter if it doesn't make sense, that's okay! Just say that the readers don't understand the message behind the conspiracy theory.

Step 3: You must give your main character a companion! They must be of the opposite gender, just so that you can create romance. And angst!

Step 4: Explore various locations. People must know of them, but they don't necessarily need to be in the same location as you say that they are! They can just be there. At the right time. Hehe.

Step 5: Your villain must be the subject of a conspiracy theory! If they are not, make one up! Or even use an existing organisation and make them TEH EBULLLLL. Because real life people are that black and white *sarcasm*.

Step 6: End by having the lead characters make out, but you must imply it. Otherwise hyperactive 13 year olds can't read it.

Congratulations! You are now ready to write a story like Dan Brown!
