A Noelle/Frank fic.
...
Disclaimer: Nope, don't own Rookie Blue.
...
A/N: I'm so glad you guys have liked my other fics so far, they've been so much fun to write.
Well, after I got the tip that Officer Best was recently divorced, I couldn't resist writing this pairing.
I hope you guys like this one, I know I'll love writing it.
As always, please read and review, I live for feedback!

She wasn't anywhere near the realm of sure that this was a good idea. They'd been working together for so long, had been friends for so long ... she wasn't sure if she was ready to take it to the next level.
But he had asked, and with a flustered smile, she'd said yes.
Now, though, she had to deal with the worst part of the evening: deciding what to wear.
Outfit after outfit was thrown over her head, nothing seeming to be good enough. She groaned in frustration, almost talking herself into cancelling the entire evening. Filled with desperation, Noelle grabbed her phone off the dresser, punching in the first number that came to her mind.
"Hello?" her friend answered.
"I'm freaking out here," Noelle told her.
Traci sighed, smiling on the other end of the phone. "Relax, Noelle, it's going to be fine."
She shook her head. "No, it won't. I have nothing to wear, my hair is a disaster, and I think I'm getting a pimple!"
"Just breathe, Noelle," Traci soothed her, chopping up carrots for her dinner with Leo and Jerry. "Come on, now, you like Frank, right?"
Noelle blushed a little, but answered, "Yes."
"And he likes you," Traci added.
"For some reason, yes," Noelle went on.
Traci scoffed. "Come on, you are a gorgeous woman, of course he likes you. You guys have been friends for years, so you know that he likes you for more than just your looks. So, just relax, and stop worrying about all the little stuff. Just have fun."
Noelle puckered her lips, blowing air out through puffed cheeks. "Okay ... thanks."
Traci smiled. "And wear that green dress you were telling me about," she suggested. "You'll look dynamite in it."
Noelle smiled at that, chuckling a little. "Okay. Look, Traci ... thanks, again."
"Don't sweat it. Now get off the phone and get ready for your date."
She nodded, saying goodbye before she hung up the phone. She took a long, steadying breath, and then made her way back to her closet. She pulled the green dress out from the back, looking it up and down. Traci had been right, it was a great dress. She got an idea of a way to do her hair, and then it seemed as though everything was falling into place.
She was still nervous, the ticking of the clock present in the back of her mind. But she'd found a little of her confidence, and clung to that.
Right on time, the doorbell rang, and she made her way to greet him.
"Hey, are you ready to ... wow," he commented, taking in the sight of her. "You look ... fantastic."
Noelle smiled, her teeth dragging lightly against her lip. "Thanks. You look pretty great too." She closed and locked the door behind her, smiling again when he held out his arm for her to take. Hooking her arm into his elbow, they began walking down the street.
Noelle wasn't sure how the date was going to go; if it would fizzle out after the appetizers, or if it would turn into many more evenings spent together. She tried not to worry about it too much, though ... she decided to let herself enjoy the moment, and let it take her wherever it did. Even if she was secretly wishing that it did turn into many - many - more dates.
...
The end.
Well, what did you guys think? Like it, hate it?
I might write more this this pairing, I'm not sure yet. We'll see how it goes.
Reviews are appreciated, flame if you must, but constructive criticism is much more useful.
Until next time ...!
