So it's been like four years since an update. I am so so sorry guys. I drifted from the fandom and only very recently started looking back. Hell, I'm not even into MPreg anymore but I needed to continue this.

A short chapter sadly.

And four years later I still am awful with battle scenes so here is what I've got!

When Sesshomaru was very young he had snuck off to watch some of father's soldiers train. He had studied their movements and weaknesses, amazed by the capacity some of Inutaisho's men contained. Of course it all paled in comparison to watching his father in action. His father fought with a finesse and flair that was purely animalistic. Some fought with grace, such as Sesshomaru's mother. Inutaisho fought with rage. It seemed the rage he fought with had been passed down to Inuyasha. He had not watched for long, realizing that with his water broken he needed to find safety. Still the moment he had looked back, it was as if Inutiasho's ghost had risen from the dead.

Inuyasha fought with rage and power. His eyes glowed ominously, his fangs bared and glistening. Inuyasha did not need help with this battle. He never would. Sesshomaru looked away, touching his stomach. There was movement against his palm and the demon smiled.

The child needed Sesshomaru now.

The demon Lord pressed forward, hand against his stomach. He lifted his nose and sniffed at the air, annoyance flaring as he smelled Inuyasha's pack quickly approaching. He could not afford to be picky. Not with his child on the line. It was Sango who reached him first, feet skidding through the dirt as she reached the demon lord.

"Naraku is here." She stated, eyes narrowed into the distance before studying Sesshomaru in worry. "The baby is on the way?"

"Yes." Was all Sesshomaru could manage. The demon hunter reached forward, uncertainly. He fingertips touched the demon's shoulder and she gently ushered him forward.

"Don't worry Lord Sesshomaru. You're in good hands." The woman murmured as Miroku and Kagome came over the kill. Shippo was no where in sight along with Kiala. They must have realized Naraku was nearby and went to safety. Sesshomaru pointedly ignored Kagome, allowing Sango to lead him away from the battle and towards a denser area of the forest.

"He's so pale, is he going to be alright?" Kagome urgently whispered to Miroku who tightened his grip on his staff. Sesshomaru looked far too pale. He was too far along to reach any village. He would have to give birth in the forest. He only hoped that there would be no complications. He caught Kagome looking at him and offered her a weary smile.

"He's Sesshomaru. He'll be fine."

Rin stood in her bedroom, looking at the night sky through the window. Leaning forward, she rested her chin in her palm. She wondered how her Lord Sesshomaru was doing. Was the baby here yet?

She happily imagined a little girl or a little baby boy to play with. Rin would be a wonderful big sister. She would protect the baby and play with them. She could imagine a little mini Sesshomaru following her around and the idea had her giggling out loud in her room.

"Rin! Come eat your food you silly child!" Jaken's voice squawked loudly from behind Rin's door. The little girl turned with a surprised yelp. Blinking, she raced forward, bare feet slapping soundly against the floors. Jaken had only recently returned from Sesshomaru's side. He had assured Rin that her Lord was safe with his brother. Although, Jaken did not seem all to happy to not be at Lord Sesshomaru's side.

"Coming!" Rin called out as she opened the door, beaming at the scowling kappa who glowered at her.

"Lord Sessomaru should return within the week! I'll not have you starve while he is gone!" Rin beamed at the little demon, dark eyes lighting up.

"Jaken! I knew you cared!"

"Insolent girl!" Jaken snapped, arms flailing. "DO NOT PRESUME SUCH NONSENSE!" He chased after the child as she skipped ahead, barking orders at her to slow down.

"Sesshomaru, you need to breathe. Come on...breathe with me."

There was only silence in the clearing. Smoke lazily rose high over the tree tops, masking the sky in gray. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting the ground in shades of orange and yellow. A lone Hanyou stood staring blankly into the sky. A scratch ran down his cheek, oozing blood lazily. He barely noticed it.

"You're doing great...keep pushing."

The battle was done...for now. Naraku understood this. He would allow Inuyasha to rush off to his brother and they would face each other again. A sneer curled the dark Hanyou's lips and he turned his face away from the sky.

"Hey, hey come on! Come on...good..."

Inuyasha raced towards Sesshomaru's scent. His feet barely seemed to touch the ground. Naraku was long forgotten behind him. Inuyasha knew he was getting near. He could smell his brother's scent. He sped forward, teeth baring in determination.

"You think you've won..." Naraku chuckled from across the field. He had taken a heavy hit to his arm, rendering it useless. As far as Inuyasha was concerned, the battle was his. He shot the dark Hanyou a sharp grin, teeth elongated.

"I know I have ya bastard!" He crowed loudly, voice echoing through the field. Naraku shook his head, eyes closing as he chuckled.

"So arrogant." He mused. "You think you can help your dear brother and child? You've polluted too much." He turned his head. "In any event I am bored with you. Run to your brother...if he will take you."

Inuyasha spotted the cave ahead. He could see both Miroku and Kagome waiting at the entrance. Kagome looked up, eyes widening at the sight of him. Shippo and Kiala were curled nearby, Shippo was fast asleep. Kagome stepped forward, her dark eyes fixed on the silver haired Inu. She looked towards Miroku who nodded towards the cave, eyes fixed on Inuyasha. The Hanyou did not need to be told twice. He rushed by the two human's and into the cave, heart hammering in his chest.

Sango sat against the cave wall, ankles crossed. She looked up at Inuyasha and smiled gently before slowly getting to her feet. She pat Inuyasha's shoulder as she lassed by, but Inuyasha had not looked away from his brother. His hair was mused and there was a sheen of sweat covering his skin. But he was breathing and he was safe. As was the baby laying against him. Sesshomaru looked up from the bundle he was holding. His eyes met Inuyasha's and he inclined his head in greeting.

"Otouto, come greet your daughter."
